  1. Hey all, here I am again with another entry for AoM, it isn't an official entry, because it's a phase lV tower, and the phases only go to lll. So, is it an entry? I don't know. It is just a tower, continuing the story of two brave warriors going on a mission from their lord to build a tower in the far and cold North. Now onto the story and the pics. Today we got a visit from Alfadas, he is not very pleased with the result, but it is better then nothing he said. So, we made some more improvements, and now he is pleased. He wanted to have a couple of small catapults, so we made him a couple of small catapults. He wanted a high tower, higher then now, but that just isn't possible. We don't have enough stone here to do that. He agreed with that. No problem he said. He brought a soldier with him, and that soldier just stands on the wall, motionless. Creepy. But now the temperatures are even colder then a few weeks ago, we don't think that is a problem. We can stay inside most of the time. Alfadas said he is happy with the result of the tower, and he needs to go back to the South, there is a war about to start? I don't know. I am happy here. Alfadas promised to send more food supplies, and he also said that we might meet an old acquaintance. Wonder who that is. And the reason the snow is a bit yellow, well, you know why. That is the story so far. The soldier I was talking about. He didn't move an inch from the moment he stood there. The top of the tower, with the catapults. Now we don't have enough room on top of it to defend the tower. And the back of the tower, with a view to the inside. And a closer look to the inside. Here we are talking with Alfadas. I wonder how he got that wooden leg, he doesn't talk about it. But I am positive he had two normal legs when I last saw him. And here is the way we made the supports for the platform. Nice right? That was it for now, hope you like it, and no, I didn't use the flash. I don't think the story will be continued. C&C appreciated.
  2. Here is phase 2 guys :) Gunman is watching Markus' training camp, just outside of Euosmos. Only the best of the soldiers will make it into Mitgardian army. Roll it! by GunmanLurikeen, on Flickr CC appreciated Giorgos

    AoM Store Phase l

I, Mandred Mandredson, Alfadas older brother (I know, Alfadas inherited my fathers position, just because I don't want any responsibility on a lot of people), opened a weapons store with some financial support from Alfadas before he left. It is still a small shop, but when I make a lot of profit, I will expand my store. I sell only weapons and armory now, but also that will change. The store has a lot of customers, and I don't think I can handle it all. I might need to hire a blacksmith. No problem, enough blacksmiths here and there. But that is in the future. I once was a good warrior, guarding the town of my brother. When he left, I got the lead of the town. I didn't like it, so I gave the leadership to another brother, Nólaf. He is a good leader and promised he would support my shop. And there leaves a happy woman, with the birthday presents for her husband. How nice. And there is a nice nobleman from a big town far away, buying my best shield. I used it a few years, and it is still a good shield. Here I am again with another entry for AoM challenge, this time it is the store phase l. That is it, hope you like it. To be continued....

    AoM Farm Phase l

Here I am, in the south of Mitgardia, as the oldest son of a farmer. Today I am in the fields, cleaning the crops of plants my dad hates. I spot a large red snake. Phew, red. They are not poisonous. The green ones are. Or was it the other way around? I don't remember. Suddenly I see some thing that shines. I pick it up and see it is a golden ring. Wow, when I sell this, we can easily make it through the Winter. I want to rush to my dad and let him see the ring, but I can't move. I am completely hypnotized by the ring. Allright then, I am not selling the ring. I feel I can move again. Weird. Is it the ring? I try to toss it away, but now it is in my pocket. Bad Magic. I put the ring on the ground and start walking away. Weird, there is another ring. Ignore it. Walk away. And there I see another ring. Then I realize I am not walking home, I am walking in circles, that lead back to the ring. Why me? I pick up the ring and go home. This time I am walking home. Phew. I am curious what my dad thinks of it. I can't move again. Or I don't let him see the ring, I quickly think. And I can walk again. I don't like magic, but this ring is cool! Did I really think that? Ok, I am home again. Here I am again with another entry for AoM, this time it is the farm phase l. That is it for now. Hope you like it. To be continued....

    AoM Stable Phase ll

Hello, here I am again with another entry for the AoM challenge, this time it is the stable phase ll. So, here I am, far in the cold north. I need to build a stable here, said Alfadas, my lord. Nice. How am I going to build a stable with less then zero building materials. Luckily I found a not so old abandoned tower. I found a note inside that said that the persons who lived there went further to the North. Are they the ones Alfadas send to build him a tower here? Must be them, the note was written in a very familiar handwriting. Must be getting close to them. I need human contact. For weeks now I have been traveling in this snow landscape, with only a horse and very little food and water. Water isn't a problem, everywhere is snow. You melt it and you have water. Food is the biggest problem. But I lived till now, so I am happy. I demolished the tower, using the wood to build a shelter for the horse. At night I used to hear weird and scary noises, but a few days ago, that stopped. Wonder what made that sound and why it stopped. Well, that is my story till now, see you next time! That's it for now, hope you like it. To be continued...
  6. The clang of the smith's hammer does not ring out through the late winter afternoon. All is silent around Olin and his brave horse Sigrd, save for the blowing wind and the soft shhhhh-crunch of the anvil Olin drags behind him. "You might have carried this, Sigrd," he says reproachfully to his horse. Sigrd snorts eloquently, dismissing the notion. "You're right, of course," says the smith. "I was foolish to set up a shop so far from the road. Probably we are the only travelers who have ever stumbled on that patch of land! But don't fear!" He pauses to grunt and adjust his grip on the rope tied around his anvil. "We will soon find a village in need of a smith! I am sure that something good is just around the corner." But of course, all that's around the corner is more snow. Man and horse trudge on, dragging their anvil behind them, and pushing their hopes in front.
  7. The first sight Elon's showing to his grandsons is Ebronahr, a barrack of the Ebronah. The general already expected them and is welcoming them with a meal. Elijah is eager to fight one of the Ebronah and Albion has made up lots of questions about the strategic location of the barrack. Welcoming Meal Beds Weaponry Overview

    AoM - Stable Phase l

Hello, here I am again with an other entry for Aom challenge. This time it is the phase l stable. So Alfadas, my lord, send me to the North. I heard he send a few other men in the same direction, didn't meet them. It is freezing here. My job was to get a horse there, make it a stable with whatever material I could find. So far I didn't find any useful material, so the stable is still to be build. I was going to set up my camp out of the wind, but then my tent was blown away. Guess I will have to sleep very close to the fire then. And that's it for now. Hope you like it!
  12. Elon is taking his grandsons Elijah and Albion to the main city of the elves. To get there they've crossed the winter lakes. At the archery range Elon got Elven clan capes. Those capes grant him and his grandsons safe passage through the Elven territories. Putting targets on floes makes it a lot more difficult to hit the center. Especially when there's a lot of waves. . Elijah started sparring with an Elf which he drove into the water. Which made him very proud, because now he was able to tell everyone he defeated an Elf. Of course Albion was proud, but he knew the elf did let Elijah win. Elon getting the clan capes.

    AoM - Wall phase lll

  16. Here I am again with another entry for the AoM challenge. This time it is the tower phase lll. Hope you like it, C&C are welcome! Here we are again, far in the cold north. I have found a large abandoned stone mine, so I went back to the tower to get my mate. When I arrived he was out of the tower (for the 2nd time in weeks). He was fighting imaginary monsters. I went to him and asked him to come with me to get stones for the tower. He said that he needed to practice his fighting skills more. I left him there and went back to the stone mine. I got as many stones as I could lift, went back to the tower and repeated that for about 20 times. I was very tired. I went to sleep. When I woke up, I saw that the wood in the tower had been replaced. I heard my mate making fighting noises. Still practicing, I thought, till I heard a weird scream. I jumped on my feet, grabbed my weapons, ran out and saw a couple of Cyclopses laying on the ground. One had an arrow in his back, another one had his head beheaded. I saw a dozen of them running away. "I don't think I want to be in the tower anymore, this is great!" my mate shouted. "Let's practice more!" Then he grabbed the head and put it on top of the flag. Here is the tower, now all stone. We are fighting on top of it. I love the tower now, just wish we had more food. Shot from above. He is a darned good fighter. One dead Cyclops. They made the noises we heard. And another one. The inside of the tower, with a fire. Another shot from above. We in front of the tower. That's it, our heroes did what their leader ordered them to do, build a nice tower and defend it with your live. Now all we need is their leader to show up at their tower and explain himself for the pointless order he gave. Hope you liked the story, but this isn't the end yet......
  17. Please read this first: Tower Phase l Here I am again, to bring you an update. We found an abandoned stone thing when we were looking for supplies (we didn't find anything but snow). It was a ruin of a tower used by orcs (based on what we found inside, it was a giant mess). We headed back to our own tower, took it down and used the wood to repair the tower. It is still very cold here, and we hardly have food to live from. We left a note in the remains of our wooden tower that says we moved, so if there are ever going to be supplies, they know where to send it to. We still here creepy noises at night, they are getting closer and closer every night. I think the orcs don't like what we did to their tower, but I don't care. Bring it on, filthy orcs! Or whatever else is ruining my sleep. That is the tower with me on top. Don't I look cool? I think I do. That is the tower from above. Snow everywhere, even if I keep cleaning it. The tower from one side. It was pretty damaged when we moved in. That is why there is that many wood everywhere. Tower from another side. O, and this is the first time my friend left the tower. And did he help repairing the tower? No. Of course not. He rather spend his time eating chicken and hugging the fire. The back of the tower. And he is back inside. His spear and shield didn't move since we arrived here. I hope we see some orcs soon. And the inside of the tower. Pretty comfy, right? And here we are again. Tell me, I look cool right? Right? Ok, see you next time!

    AoM: Store Phase One

Not all traffic of small time budding merchants come to the cities by cart and road. Some prefer to travel by river on small river rafts, as this tends to go swifter... I went for a completely different approach with the Store. Normally, phase one consists of a Market Cart, but I thought to go in a different route and instead of building a cart pulled along a road, to build a small trade boat going down a waterway. This gives me the option for the later stages to build off from a waterside for the market, if it works out as planned with a pier and such. Ambitious and a lot to think off how to do it...

    AoM - Wall phase l

So, here I am with another entry for AoM, Walls phase l. The wall. The back of the wall. There are some wooden things to stand on to look over the wall. The wall from above. I know it is a bit blurry, unfortunately I took the wall down, so I can't take better pics. Sorry. The wall from beside. I know the Mitgardian flag is half plant, simply because I wanted a flag, but don't have a light green flag. So the plant will have to do for now. The two vikings guarding the wall. Comments are welcome, so I can upgrade it to the next phase!
  20. Here we are, in the far north. Far from any civilisation, for no particular reason other then to please our Lord. Objective: build a nice outpost there, and defend it with your life. Well, I hope he calls us back soon, here is nothing to find then snow, snow and nothing but snow. And man, what is it cold here! I don't have much problems with that, but my mate here has. At night we here a lot of scary noises, so I think we are close to a nice fight to warm up our frozen limbs. That's me, guarding the tower. And that is my mate. He doesn't do much else then getting his feet burned by the fire and eating our supplies. At least we have wood to burn and nice ale to drink, if it isn't frozen. And behind that are my weapons, in desperate need of blood! That's me again, standing guard in the harsh wind. And yes, that is a plant as the Mitgardian flag. My nice friend was cold so he used the green as a scarf. Here we are again, me with armor and bow, beside me my mate with his chicken leg. By the way, that was our last meat. Now all we have left is ale and wood. Lovely. Hope we get supplies soon, or at least find some orcs to slay. I'll be back soon! All comments are welcome, and sorry for the blurry pics. (Please no comments on the pics, just on the moc itself). The pics are better now, right?
  21. Once Haakon had been a farmer with a small but very yielding farm near Mitgardia's capital Valholl. But with the advent of the elemtal terror he had lost everything: farm, wife, kids and youth. Although not quite 40 yet, he had turned an old man over his grief. The only thing of value that he has left are an old grindstone and his two dogs, whith whom he now roams the streets of Thorshaven and her surrounding villages. A truely hard life, but at least he has some sort of income!

    AoM: Barracks Phase II

Whilst the warriors of Arcium were building their Barracks they found themselves camping out, in order to make sure the building was moving smoothly. Warriors of Arcium! Tree! Tent! Build without accessories and figs. Now I'm done with Barracks! Sorry about the bad pictures, didn't edit them enough.
  23. After Capturing the eagle it must then be transported to the Eagle Farm. To do that the hunters must pass through the Stronghelm pass, an underground dwarven tunnel. The Stronghelm pass has always been one of the safest routes in Mitgardia, even if it rarely has been manned more than five guards. However, those guards are Redstone dwarves, arguably the most disciplined and well trained dwarven warriors in Historica. Two Redstone dwarves, a warrior and captain, guard the entrance. The hunters' dangerous (but locked up) cargo. Figless! The dwarves. Love these figs! Would something this size be within the 16x16 limit for the Challenge? A 16x16 base with a border? Anyway, hope you like the build!
