kinggregus Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) EDIT: New update in Post #22 Casino PS ---------------------- Hello Everyone, This the first time that I am trying my hands at a MOC which is "Lego Town" related. This means that any of your advices would be very appreciated. For this first time, I figured it would be nice to do something which has not been explored that much: a Casino. Such building is quite interresting as there are many interior features that can be made. As I am working on a limited space, I have to divide the build into sections. This is good news as it means that I can share my progress with you. So far, the Casino is populated only by its personnel. The Slot Machine area (+ a Black Jack Table): The Table area (BlackJack, Roulette, Craps) The Bar (No the barman is not drinking): Thanks in advance for your comments Edited August 23, 2014 by kinggregus
Godtshep Posted June 29, 2014 Fantastic model! Will you make an exterior as well?
kinggregus Posted June 29, 2014 Fantastic model! Will you make an exterior as well? Thanks Godtshep. That's indeed the idea. I am right now working on a stair as I think it should be on two floors. The facade will be the last module I will work on.
Superfunk Posted June 29, 2014 This promises to be fantastic! A casino is indeed a great idea!

AncientDayz Posted June 29, 2014 I absolutely love this. The individual tables are really well done. I'm looking forward to the rest, especially the exterior.

jimmynick Posted June 30, 2014 This is a good start. I really like the tables! I hope you can make just as good a building as to put them in.
gifinim Posted June 30, 2014 This is seriously good! I like the tables and the SLOTS sign - very nice SNOT work. Can't wait to see more!
ER0L Posted June 30, 2014 This is all top-notch, extremely stylish and done with a whole lot of amazing SNOT. I assume that even if it might not be finished there must be an exact plan, otherwise you wouldn't be able to build those large modules, which look like they are part of an exact pattern. Anyhow I like the idea of a 5-layer floor which is a nice SNOT measure, too. Meets exactly my idea of a floor height that can be combined with SNOT roads and pavements. Can't wait to see the end result!
RedBaron4850 Posted July 3, 2014 love the look of this. Can't wait to see it finished and on two floors!
Bennemans Posted July 4, 2014 Looks very lush! Like a casino should
jonwil Posted July 4, 2014 You need some waitresses hanging around the slot machines carrying booze so guests dont have to get up and stop gambling. Love the slot machines and gaming tables though.
grum64 Posted July 4, 2014 Beautifully done. I love your attention to detail, the one arm bandits & gaming tables in particular are superb. Look forward to seeing more.

CityBuilder Posted July 27, 2014 Very realistic (I think, never been in one) looking and detailed, and on top of that it's a casino! Never seen a casino in Lego before. Keep up the good work.

Moebius118 Posted July 28, 2014 Oh my how much would I love a LEGO casino! I absolutely adore the tables. I am so sold on the roulette!
kinggregus Posted August 23, 2014 Thanks a lot everyone for your kind comments! They were really encouraging. I have build another section, which took a lot of time to build as it was hard to get it right. As you may notice, this hallway includes a lot of SNOT techniques.I also figured that this Casino would only be "Grand" if it included something grandiose such as a shark-filled acquarium. Casino PS Hall - Front RightPS I have also used a technique to offset the walls which I found on Classic Castle and was really nice. Details From this angle, you can see the work that has been put on the floor. Casino Details Finally, the back of this module which is also the start to the casino tables. Back PS All in all, I debated on whether to include a roof for this module. In the end I decided against it as it was hidding too many details. I may change my mind as the project advances. Looking forward to receiving your comments.
TheLegoDr Posted August 23, 2014 Very nicely done! I love all of the details here. You don't see casinos very often. I've walked through a casino once, but I don't remember what it looked like. Keep up the great work!
Back to the Brick Posted August 23, 2014 Very good building kinggregus. Without roof is good and the aquarium is very nice with all the fishes. Nothing beats a shark in a casino.
Superfunk Posted August 24, 2014 Very nice! The interior looks appropriately flashy for a casino and the shark tank is a great idea!
