Very nice scenes! It's nice that you told the story at the same time. Good jod to you and your mother. -
Are these LEGO Gold coins a copy or legit?
Back to the Brick replied to Back to the Brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I contacted the seller and he told me that he purchased these parts years ago in bulk from a German Bricklink seller who had bought them himself in the German Legoland parts store. He also write that they could be "second choice parts and therefore were sold cheap in the Legoland store or perhaps these were used in only a few sets, merely a variation". I'm not sure about his answer. LEGO doesn't make such cheap products and if it was a variation they wouldn't change the size of the logo. I'll try to get a refund. Thank you for your help! -

Are these LEGO Gold coins a copy or legit?

Hello, I bought these Gold Coins on Sprue on Bricklink a few weeks ago. I need your opinion, to know if they are real LEGO coins or not. I didn't have these coins since 20 years, but I do remember that both sides were embossed. Looking at pictures on Internet, I never find the same "error" as on my purchased coins. The numbers are not embossed. The numbers are printed with a small shadow. The LEGO logo is embossed but I think it looks bigger than the coins I can see in pictures. Coins picture from LEGO instructions So, are these copies or a modified (and less pretty) version of the real coins? -
Hi all Pirates and LEGO fans! I share with you my latest MOC called the Big Small Imperial Bastion. I just wanted to create a playable bastion to use with the very nice Pirates of Barracuda Bay set. Hope you'll like it. Any comments are welcome. View form behind. Mmh... It seems the monkey stole something from the Captain's office. Door is open on purpose for this picture. No pirate escaped from this small cell since its construction. Various treasures and Captain's teddy bear (shh!). Three cannons are always better than one. Captain and his favorite chair. Captain's office. Another view from Captain's office.

[MOC] Steve Beauregard and Hapapo's adventures
Back to the Brick posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Steve Beauregard, adventurer during his free time and working in a Parisian museum, found a very old map on a market in London. When he found out that that map could help him discover the lost treasure of an ancient and extinct tribe, he took the first plane to North America. Hapapo is a Native American who crossed Steve's path after he lost a poker game - and almost his life - just before Steve saved him from outlaws. In exchange, Hapapo promised to help Steve to find the famous treasure. See more pictures in the album here : Steve Beauregard and Hapapo's Adventures! Thanks for any suggestions or comments! -
Thanks for the review. I still think it's overrated. For that price I'd buy a modular with more rooms and playability.

Eurobricks as a LUG

Eurobricks as a LUG
Back to the Brick replied to Back to the Brick's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thanks for your answer! I'm not looking for discounts especially, someone on Bricklink told me that's why he's in a LUG and then sold all the remaining pieces he doesn't need. I was wondering because he sells like 5,000 pieces of a reference sometimes. I'm looking more of a LEGO Club, where you can build and share your creations in a physical room with people of all ages. And I couldn't find that yet in France. That's why I'm looking for more information about what could I do in a LUG, plus make some "real" friends. Being already a member of Eurobricks, a forum I like very much, and recognized as a LUG member would be easier to just find another LUG in France and to be honest, most of them don't interest me. But I suppose my request doesn't exist yet, it's not really what I thought of LUG. LEGO should create, besides their stores, some official LEGO Club or LEGO School where you don't need to be focused on organizing your exhibits, but just building, sharing and learning what you could do with LEGO. -
They look like small TV sets, and they're nicely done.
