BOBS Brief Stories : The Brickwall to the rescue !

Since the Malto situation became an epinous problem for the Eslandolan diplomacy, it appeared to Felipe de la Manzana he should do something to help his new friends in Mehit and to support his country effort for peace.

He decided to disarmed his brand new Frigate, The Parango of Sacrifice, he renamed the Brickwall after Murion Brickwall sacrifice at the battle of the Bridge of Arbol. He just left the two bow chasers with a soldier on board in defense purpose, but all the eighteen 12 pounders normally on board have been disembarked to leave the place to a full load of food and tools for the Maltians.

The fast vessel took full wind and set sail quickly to the shallow waters of the Malto area.

Due to the sand banks and poor port condition, Malto doesn't have the capacity of hosting such a vessel, so Felipe droped anchor at a resonable distance and hired his new Mehuãtajir friends services to unload the cargo for Malto.

It is with such a total humanitarian with a neutral delivery that the peace can be preserved now as it seems the Corrington troops would never stop food and tools delivery without any armed escort !

Felipe de la Manzan is sure his friends from Corrington will finally keep reason and will allow Eslandola administrate this area as it is by law (after a war treaty, that cannot be contested !) the Eslandolan Sovereign Territory.

Thank you for reading.

Of course, all the description and story are IC thoughts and reactions ! Felipe de la Manzana is an Eslandolan Citizen and wants the best for his country. He doesn't want to be more involved, so, he just sent humanitarian help without unboarding from his Frigate.

OOC : I don't really understand everything around all the Malto affair, and I am leaving the Gamemasters solve this. This was the opportunity to show you some builds I was working on for a veeeeery long time now, and to show you the main MOCs I will expose to the Fanabriques Event in France this Week End.

Of course, every comments or criticisms are welcome !

The combination of white and striped sails, and general color scheme is very aesthetically pleasing. Great to see some more of the native fleet.

This is a beautiful ship Faladrin, the colors are so eye-catching, especially with the striped sails!  Those islander canoes are so cool too, and you've got a nice collection of foodstuffs!

I've loved this ship ever since the first teaser pics you shared. Great lines, great colors. Fantastic job on the rigging. And an excellent story as well. Glad to see the ship has finally launched!

Very nice ship you have here, Faladrin. You said you've spent a lot of time on it, your efforts are well paid. The stern is very well built, with a detailed interior, also I like the gunports, the anchor, all these activities on the ship, and the rigging, great job!

Thank you ! I initially wanted all striped sails but after trying it on the front mast with my sister but we found it too overloaded. It is my sister who made me the sails, real coton printed sails ! They are near the LEGO original ones in texture and can easily be bent.

Thank you mate ! And yes ! You're right ! What a long way ! Since Antwerpen you'll notice the bow has been entirely changed and the masts and rigging are totally upgraded !

Thank you Kai ! The islander catamaran is just a re interpretation of the old islander set.

I have to thank my daughter for the food ! She prepared the baskets while I was setting up the ships for the photography. :pir-laugh:

Thank you ! The rigging was quite exhausting... I managed to create something sturdy enough to be transported and modular (for transportation purpose, the masts can be detached !) But also something functional ! As all the sails can easily be furled ! Seriously, a real headache to design ! It is not realistically accurate but, well, it doesn't bothers me.

Thank you very much !

Strangely the stern was not the hardest part of the ship from my point of view. The bow and rigging were... But after many attempts to one and the other I finally come to something efficient, functional and sturdy enough ! I think this ship will throne on my LEGO shelter for a while...

To Felipe de la Manzana,

At the sight of such an elegant and imposing vessel our gunners held their breath for a while, crouching behind their guns. Imagine their relief when she put her head to the wind, dropped anchor and started unloading supplies.

The fresh foods will be a welcome change from the preserved foods currently being served, and we appreciate the efforts tremendously. However, you may inform your countrymen that the people of Malto is well provisioned, and that you may direct your efforts elsewhere for the time being.

Sincerely

Don Isaac Montoya

Mm... Blabla... Direct your efforts elsewhere for the time being. !? Felipe Finally finished reading the letter with Basil, his first officer.

- Ha! What a pity ! If Malto is in no need of fresh food, they don't need neither Corrie presence ! He tansed. Well, not our problem ! We are leaving this area now ! I have an apple to find ! I hope corries will not cross my route on this chase as I will have full load of powder in the Brickwall then !

Felipe finished his monologue by giving orders to Basil to prepare the vessel to leave while burning Montoya missive. Basil only nodded head and transmitted the orders to the crew.

In no time the vessel had disappeared.

Thank you for the comment. Happy you like the vessel.

Another awesome ship here! - fabulous work, Faladrin, and a lovely result with this vessel!   The colorscheme and those sails are superb, and the brick-built anchor and cabin access are just a couple of awesome details - there are too many their to mention!  Those rafts around it look great as well, and I know I just paid Captain B the same compliment on his, but I do believe that this is your best ship yet too! :pir-sweet:  Keep on improving, mate, it's been great having you (and all your native builds!  ) with us in Eslandola!

Thank you Garmadon ! I am happy to be part of this, even if not playing the game entirely ! IMO, the concept of the Game is to make you progress in building, so, I am happy you found I have progress well.

Thank you again !

Beautiful ship Faladrin, I especially like how you used the antique windows for the captain's cabin. Your detailing is especially good. Let's hope we don't go to war so I don't have to blow it up :pir_tong2:

Thank you mate !

Yes custom anchors, and in parallel, both linked in the same functional cabestan.

The vessel is totally playable and functional : sails, captain cabin, gun ports with 18 guns normally available (except in humanitarian missions ) and the anchors.

It resisted the trip to Fana'briques, an hour car trip, and my children of 5 and 3 can play with it (with care, of course) without being damaged !

IC troubles, Like Felipe said, are not his concern. He just wanted to give a hand to the citizens of Malto, but, he finally decided to leave quickly seing the nice Corry welcome... :hmpf_bad: of course, he would never attack a Redcoat ship before being threatened or attacked...
