  1. Well, well... It's almost half of the 2025! This year's Speed Champions was amazing! All F1 cars, F&F and also amazing summer's release! Just whoa! Let's start discussion about 2026 cars!
  2. This custom LEGO Speed Champions MOC represents the Nissan Silvia S15 LB-Super Silhouette “ATHLETE”, built with a rotary engine setup. Unlike the regular version, this one includes a rear-mounted intercooler, a turbo exhaust outlet on the hood, and rear-exit exhaust pipes. The model is built in 9-wide scale, which made the construction far more complex than the usual 8-wide builds. It features a fully detailed interior with a roll cage and is completely studless for a clean look. Instructions for the base model are available on Rebrickable, and the stickers are from Brick Stickers Shop. This particular version includes unique custom details: LED lights that turn on when approached by a magnet Custom Yokohama Advan tire prints made by Fowartstickers 3D-printed Nismo wheels created by GtCreasCars and hand-painted by me Instructions and stickers are available here

  5. I've just finished another Alternate Build of set 42056 and this time it's a Japanese Classic from the seventies. The 1971 Nissan/Datsun 240Z Fairlady was much lusted after in my youth and they have held their appeal ever since. Features are: Full suspension Steering connected to adjustable height driver's wheel with 2.7 turns lock to lock Right hand drive like the original HOG steering 5 speed and reverse "H" pattern shift gearbox Detailed inline 6 cyinder engine connected to the back wheels via the gearbox Opening bonnet and doors with working door latches Cabin features full leg room, window winders (but no windows) and driver's pedals 50 cm long x 22 cm wide x 16 cm high 1.85 kg 2,071 pieces all sourced from set 42056 but you will need one additional piece to enable reverse gear, the MOC still works without it.   7. Hi! This isn't a replica of an existing model; as far as I know, there's no R34 Time Attack/Climbing car with an EVA01 livery. While there are a couple of Evangelion-themed race cars, this isn't one of them. First, I aimed for the Time Attack/Climbing aesthetics, then applied the EVA01 livery (this is a modification of an old MOC).EVA01 is a massive entity (not a mech) from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, although I'm referencing the 'Rebuild Of Evangelion' design. I've tried to incorporate not only the colors but also some of the shaping from EVA01 into the car. Although there are similarities, this is not a MOD from the Speed Champions Fast&Furious Nissan GTR-R34 set. The construction of both is completely different.   8. Some progress photos of my new project, a 1:8 scale s15, one of my favourite cars. The goal is to make it as realistic as possible, but I havent decided if I will motorise it or not. At the moment I think it will either have a manual 6spd stick shift gearbox, or else no gearbox and buggy motors. So far I have built a front steering and mcpherson suspension set up, much like the real car. Currently the steering is not perfect, as the wheels have slight toe in due to the length of the steering arms. According to Google translate 真夜中の怪物 = Midnight Monster After I saw the first images of the upcoming Fast and Furious skyline I had mixed feelings, the GT-R34 is my favorite Japanese car, not because of the movie but because of Grand Turismo Videogames. The set had a lot of visible studs on the front, for me, this scale ruins the flow. I reverse-engineered the front because I love the part usage, probably achieved it differently (I don't have the set), and the rest of the car I made on my own. I think that it looks way better without studs. I'm not a fan of the Fast and Furious color scheme, my favorite color on this car is the "Midnight Purple" but due to the lack of parts and the fact that I already had some dark purple cars, I tried to shade with Dark blue and black. For the final touch to be not so dark I put some Dark Azure highlights and used the wet Pirelli tires from the Mercedes F1 to finish the "Tron" Look. The Kanji writing on the doors I made hand made using a Sakura white pen.

(Or the most popular speed champions set this year) This time i used ONLY parts included in set mentioned before to build an another classic Tuner car - Nissan 350z. Truly a legendary car of it's era that was featured in many racing games like NFS Underground 1,2 and F&F Tokyo Drift movie. For this one i was particularly inspired by tuned 350z from NFS Underground 2 that's why i tried to not just only build a stock 350z. But to also include some kinda of livery in model and crazy bodykit from early 2000s. This makes this model a perfect addition to your Skyline and would look nice with it on shelf.   15. After what felt like forever I am finally ready to presesnt you my latest MOC: The Nissan 180SX Type X! Building Instructions are live now on Rebrickable, no more waiting this time : Rebrickable The 180SX has always been one of my favorite cars from Japan. I always wanted to build a drift car, and since the 180SX is probably the most popular drift car to ever exist it was a natural choice. Fitted with a full rollcage, a switch to turn off the HICAS w wheel steering system and a front steering with increased turning radius, ackermann and a positive caster angle this car is sure to be a lot of fun on the togue. One of my inspirations was the badass Sil80 from Initial D, driven by Mako and Sayuki. The License Plate is a nod to this Origin. I even made the front Bumper easy to remove/replace, In case I want to do a Silvia front swap myself later Features:- working SR20DET fake engine- 6speed manual transmission with "Safeshift" system- HoG steering with moving steering wheel. - HICAS 4 wheel steering can be turned on or off using a gear in the cabin- Independent suspension all around- Pop up Headlights can be controlled using a gear in the cabin- Opening hood, trunk and doors One of my goals with this MOC was that every bodypanel of the real car could be built in a different color. My blue+White version has all the spice Type X bits in white color, as it is an earlier 180SX that has been facelifted by the Owner to look like a type X. This was often done back when the facelift came out, because the Panels were easy to swap and not that expensive. That's why you see so many 180SX drift cars with mismatched bodypanels: swapping a "new" panel from the scrapyard is was was easy and cheap. My use of a lot of system Bricks combined with a lot of details caused a part count of close to 4200 bricks Of course I used Sariel's model scaler once again: http://scaler.sariel.pl/ The transmission and HICAS 4 wheels steering can be seen from below The rollcage provides a very rigid body, you can pick the car up by the roof no problem :) Because GoBricks had all the bricks I needed in flat silver I decided to make all the Engine, Piping, exhaust and the Rollcage in flat silver color. Why not? Due to the many color change requests I recieved for my R32 I made Instructions for 4 different colorscemes this time, and the Black+Orange version can even be built with LEGO only!   16. Before I disappoint anyone I want to say that this project is still in a phase where I am not sure if I will actually build the car. Right now I just want to see if I can fit a 6speed manual transmission with AWD and 4 wheel steering into one car and make it work reliably. But if things do work out I will probably finish the R34 project because the R32,R33 and R34 are the only japanese cars I know of to combine AWD and 4WS This is my current progress: I managed to squeeze a gear rack into the transmission I used for my R32 GT-R to give it 4 wheel steering. I also had to decrease the overall width on each side by 1 stud to give the tires space to turn without rubbing here you can see the gear rack placement. I had some massive issues clearing the two differentials, but it all worked out very well in the end. And I only had to increase the transmission length by 1 stud! I am satisfied. Bellyshot. The 20T bevel gear engaging with the center diff will be replaced with the new 20t straight cut gear once I get my hands on it.   18. Hi, This is my first (real) Speed Champions MOC : the 2016 Nissan GT-R Nismo. I've presented these for the first time at the 2018 Brick en Bulles Reims expo in France, last weekend. This is a car i am very fond of, and in my opinion has been missing from the Speed Champions lineup. I've used techniques to try and get the right shape and minimize "accidents". For instance, the two slopes on the back of the cockpit are offseted by half a plate to avoid the "staircase" effect. I'll probably make instructions. There aren't many rare parts. Hi there everybody, since some of you asked for more WIP topics in the "Decreasing number of MOCs" topic, I thought I would take you along with my latest project, hopefully from start to finish. I wanted to build a drift car, and what other car ycould that be than the Nissan Silvia? deciding between S13, S14 and S15 was pretty easy, since pop up headlights are awesome. So I went for the most suitable model, the 180SX Type X. A quick search on google brought up this Blueprint. Not perfect, but good enough. Since this is a car with the classic FR layout I took the 6-speed manual transmission from my Nissan R32 GTR MOC and removed the AWD. I'ts running very smooth. After the pop-up headlights were completed I started modelling the front bumper. This bumper is really difficult, all the proportions are hard to recreate from bricks. I tried it like this, and while it is pretty accurate these stacked plates dont look very nice. Often it is better to choose the less accurate but better looking solution, so that's what I'll try next. I would love if someone could suggest a solution for the front lip that wraps all around the bottom of the bumper. It is 1.7 studs high and the angle does not want to match any solution I come up with. I know this does not look like much, but thats what happens when you look at the early stages of a MOC.   20. Whats up everybody, hope y'all are doing well. I would like you to meet this little Godzilla of mine This car was built with the car scene in "Wangan Midnight" in mind: Modified cars steetracing on the Wangan Highway, where everything is about top speed. The car's engine has been converted to a bigger single turbo for better top speed and improved cooling, a vented hood and bigger intercooler setup for improved cooling, bucketseats and a weld-in rollcage. And of course the little lip on the trunk and spoiler and a massive flamespitting cannon exhaust pipe. Obviously I used quite a few Non-LEGO pieces here and there to achieve the desired look. Features: working RB26DETT fake engine (the second "T" should be removed tho because this car has a single turbo conversion) 6speed AWD manual transmission with "Safeshift" system HoG steering with moving steering wheel Independent suspension all around Opening hood and trunk Opening doors with locking mechanism Check out Sariels awesome Model Scaler tool, it helped me a ton once again: http://scaler.sariel.pl/ Specs: scale: 1:8 length: 56 cm width: 24 cm height:16 cm Weight: 2.8kg Piece count: estimated 2500-3500 What everybody wants to see in this forum: I tried to keep as much of the transmission visible from below as possible. I know this pic doesn't do the engine bay justice, but its all I have now. The body is amazingly rigid thanks to the functional weld-in rollcage.   21. Hello guys, I haven't posted anythig here for a while. I have been working on this Nissan R32 GTR even before the Mazda RX-7 was completed. I was scared that I would not be able to accomplish a build worthy of wearing the legendary "Godzilla" name. Thats why I did not post any WIP Pictures earlier. But now I feel like the build has progressed enough that quitting is out of the question, and any obstacles have been cleared already. I am fairly pleased with the build now, but it was a long way to get here. I hope you like it too. Yes, I can get these wheels I used for the taillights in transparent red as well, dont underestimate the power of the dark side ;) The Car has an AWD system, hooked up to a 6-Speed manual transmission powered by the RB26 with a single turbo conversion.   25. Starting work on my next project, which will be a lifted Nissan Xterra! Got a full set of RC4WD Rock Crusher tires (essentially the same tread as the popular BF Goodrich tires), and I've also started modeling a fully functional transfer case based around the new (to me) driving rings. New Tires and things! by VKTechnic, on Flickr The green axle is the motor input, orange is rear axle drive, and yellow is front axle. In the middle, the lavender and blue gears are for HI/LO, respectively, and as expected, the FWD can be disconnected as a 2WD/4WD switch. Fairly compact, as the geared part is only 5x5x7 studs! A couple of things are still undecided with this model, the first of which is how to activate the functions. Right now, the transfer case is actuated by mini LAs, which would mean that I would likely be using mini LAs to lock the front and rear diffs. However, there is the option to use small pneumatic cylinders, in which case the axles will be a little simpler to build (more on axles later). On the other hand, using pneumatics means integrating a pressure-regulated compressor and remote controlled valves (or a valve-pump combo), which could end up being bulky. I do have the option of manually controlling those functions, but what's the fun in that? The other undecided aspect is suspension. The Xterra I'm modeling after has A-arms in the front and leaf springs in the rear, so from an accuracy standpoint that is the way to go. On the other hand, 4-link live axles front and rear would be great for off-roading. The tradeoff with 4-link suspension would be space, as independent suspension in the front would let me cram the driveline components in front of the "firewall". TL;DR I've started on an Xterra, but I've got a lot of thinking to do...
