  1. You can get the eagle in the much cheaper gate set. I'm in agreement though; while I appreciate the build, the all-black nature of it all reduces it's appeal to me. The figures does not interest me the slightest, but the ent is pretty nice. I'd like one of those.
  2. Worst set in a pretty bad line. But eh, it's cheap... I'll probably end up getting it when it's on clearance.
  3. I completely agree with this. With the LOTR (and POTC, for that matter) sets I buy, I keep the figures with no flesh on their torsos and sell their heads and the torsos that do have flesh on them.
  4. Decent, but unspectacular sets. The minifigures and accessories seems to be the absolutely highlights here. I'll still be getting both though, once a nice discount hits.
  5. Absolutely stunning build with a stellar looking color palette.
  6. This is one really hilarious April Fool's joke. And the responses only makes it better. Well played, guys.
  7. Very impressive work, looks like a great display piece.
  8. That's how I feel, too. But absolutely amazing throne, spot on!
  9. I'm pretty sure they did get the money.
  10. Agreed, they look too much like something from the 90's.
  11. It has a very Troll Warship-ish feel to me.
  12. I'm not into trains, nor westerns, nor licensed figures... but even so, I see this as a really impressive set with lots of value. Any kid should love this.
  13. I got... and For roughly €93 combined!
  14. I disagree, actually. I think it tells a story about a nation so proud of their unique and beautiful trees that they took its' colors for their standards. What are those cape-ish things you use as sails?
  15. Really? I personally find the gloves one of the few redeeming qualities of this theme.
  16. Not exactly 40 % off, but Bilka has 25 % off all LEGO atm - with a few discontinued sets going for less than half price! I got myself the Creator Log Cabin on their website for only 112 kr., quite a bargain. It has some good bricks. But more interestingly, Bilka has for a while put a far-below-MSRP price on Helm's Deep at 779,40 kr. Which is lower than both The Mines of Moria and The Gobling King Battle! So with 25 % off, I got Helm's Deep for only 584,55 kr.! A very pleasing purchase, especially since most shops in Denmark seems to sell it for 1299 kr.! They also have POTC sets at less than 50 % of their regular prices, although they only have 3 sets left - of which the most interesting one is sold out in their webpage... but maybe the physical stores have a better selection.
  17. I'm both a Castle and Pirates fan, and I'd personally much rather add the LOTR ship to my collection than seeing eg. another release of the Pirates Junior line. Baby-Castle is not necessarily better than no Castle.
  18. Wow. These are even worse than I feared... terrible, terrible sets and figures. Very few redeeming qualities. ...I'll probably still end up buying some for parts on sale, but I think I'll for the most part stick to LOTR and Hobbit sets for my Castle fix this year. Sad, really.
  19. Congrats, I saw your posts in the Castle and Pirates subforums. Impressive collection you re-found there. You should definately do reviews of some of the more interesting sets.
  20. Actually, it's been 929 SEK for ages on pixmania.com's Swedish page...
  21. Are you certain of this? Where did you get such information? Pretty short shelve life compared to MMV...
  22. I was initially not a huge fan of this set, but have lately been considering buying it at that price myself... if nothing else, it's a good parts back with a couple of unique minifigs.
  23. My latest haul from Bricklink.
  24. Congrats man, sounds like a dream come true.
