  1. I managed to find a store that had CMFs series 4-10 at half price, so got a bunch of those. Didn't manage to find all the ones I wanted, but got some nice ones.
  2. All the sets are available at amazon.co.uk now, so I guess Europe didn't have to wait too long after all.
  3. Fascinating and very impressive build. Extremely ambitious. Perhaps too ambitious for CUUSOO....? I don't get the usage of flesh minifigs since this is a non-licensed set, though.
  4. Apart from the ruined hood, I actually think it's an improvement on the not-so-stellar original idea. I simply cannot fathom that neither one has an actual windshield, though. And without the minifigures, it loses too much. CUUSOO does not impress me.
  5. Yeah, this will never be released.
  6. As impressive as the ship itself is, what really blows me away is the amazing display stand. Extremely elegant and classy, yet still simple in its' own way. Wow!
  7. If not for guns in the hands of the wrong people, the allies wouldn't have been needed at all. False logic. Depicting modern, real life guns and violence is - and always has been - against what LEGO believes in. So I can definately understand why some people think it wrong to use LEGO in this way. On the other hand, our culture is filled with tons of different toy guns already - and LEGO themselves often use guns for historical and sci-fi purposes... so it probably doesn't make much of a difference.
  8. I concentrate on two themes: Castle and Pirates. On occation, I buy sets from other themes that I feel have good crossover potential either as a modified build or through the individual parts. I find deciding upon my displayed setup to be quite a pain though, as it's so hard to choose between the various possibilities. My mind is currently set on a medieval-style fantasy world which is sort of a mix between Game of Thrones and LOTR. ...but then again, I find it hard not to utilize my fine pirate ships...
  9. I'm not familiar with Discworld, but it's a detailed build for sure... I have one question though: if the world is flat, why is there a globe...?
  10. You are probably right, I bet it will look good together with the other buildings. Keep up the good work! :)
  11. Wow, this is absolutely fantastic. The whole layout comes alive in a way that almost makes you forget that it's LEGO. Well done.
  12. I want to see a future where cancer is cured as well, but that doesn't mean it would be exciting as a LEGO set.
  13. I like your techniques and use of bricks. The colors in your two last houses are great, you should have thrown in some color in your headquarters as well.
  14. I'm not usually into sculptures, but this is just amazing. Keep it up!
  15. I've thought about doing additional modules for the Kingdoms castle several times before, doing a modern version of this set among other things: I think it's a huge shame that LEGO never themselves these day follow up on the modularity of their castles. I personally think such smaller wall pieces, similar to the one they did for LOTR, could be great sellers - and something people would buy multiples of.
  16. They aren't online yet, but at some point they should become available at lego.com.
  17. That's made by an 11-year's old? Impressive!
  18. Thanks for a great and extremely detailed review! Impressive piece of work for sure. Not very handy to display though, and really expensive. My favorite part is the ent. Simply lovely.
  19. Fascinating pictures with some great furniture ideas indeed, thanks for sharing. I'm beginning to fear that you are right... I see 'Castle' mentioned at no local shops at all, nor on our branch of LEGO's own site. Would they really delay a release in North America by 6 months in Europe...?
  20. very impressive build with some stunning tecniques, but an uninteresting set for me. Too big to display and doesn't seem to contain that many interesting parts. I noticed a very weirdly shaped baseplate on the ground in the front though, is that new?
  21. Extremely uninteresting set to me. What happened to the Back to The Future set? I wish more sets would get through because they are incredible builds instead of merely because they touch a license a huge fanbase can get behind. But eh, that's for a differente discussion... Congrats to the mars rover and its' creator!
  22. I like wall panels. They make it possible to build larger structures with fewer pieces. And I actually think they look quite good, too. If I end up getting this new castle, it will be purely for the pieces. I don't think any part of it looks good.
  23. You present this 'fact' as if it's an objective truth, while it is in actuality nothing more than yet another subjective opinion. I personally find the last two Castle themes to be superior, with Kingdoms being better by a huge margin. The new wizard stands out, though.
  24. I think it's from the Garden Gnome in the CMF-series.
