  1. Those black 2x2x6 weights were also used on the Technic 8288 crane. I bought some from Bricklink (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=73090b) and used one to weigh down the back of my MOW truck. Catenary MOW by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  2. Nah, Binks is too slow. Day 059 of 365: Han Shot First by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  3. Post a pic and video of module if you looking for diag help. Did it run for around 20 minutes without jamming? Are using real LEGO balls?
  4. I can't seem to find any translation of bätsch online. Back to picture time: Day 103 of 365: Don't Be a Loose Cannon by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  5. LOL, looks like we both posted shots with handcuffs on the 18th of April. Day 108 of 365: The Man with the Golden Gun and Drill by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Day 109 of 365: Fire Rescue by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  6. The old Technic black pins were also stiffer compared to the current black version. They were challenging to pull out if you don't have super strong fingers.
  7. Looks great. So that's what you were buiidling that NYC subway car for last month.
  8. Cool. It looks top heavy.
  9. Nice work. The engine looks low enough that you can attach an aerial ladder apparatus on it and still clears tunnels and overpasses. To hold additional attack lines and connection points.
  10. Thanks for sharing behind the scenes. I didn't realize how inexpensive Arduino is and the IDE is not hard to use.
  11. I have tried some Avery 18665 clear sheets for inkjet. They are not completely clear but seems good enough for certain color combinations. The inkjet ink is usually not water proof so that is something to consider. Also lighter colors don't work as well on clear labels placed on top of dark bricks. Most home printers can't print a layer of white before putting on the lighter color. Rescue Train Car by dr_spock_888, on Flickr I printed some small fire logos and it appears in the photo I didn't get all the air gaps out when I pressed them on. The red arrow didn't come out as red on top of the bley bricks. The red cross is printed on white sticker paper and the white seem to blend in well with the white panels. Multi-Purpose Machine by dr_spock_888, on Flickr They seem better on the yellow MOW train. The red MPM XXX stands out better on yellow bricks. I use GIMP for graphic editing and Libreoffice Draw layout out the graphics on the sheet. I don't normally print a full sheet at a time. I reused the sheet working my way bottom up.
  12. Welcome aboard. Nice work.

  14. Very nice work. I would think Harley would be the type to sell less cute and friendly type pets.
  15. Great job on the trailer in LEGO.
  16. Nicely done. I think the katana is a bit big. Shorter samurai weapons like a tanto or wakizashi would be better suited if available.
  17. Well done. Rock Monsters are going to want this badly.
  18. I found 8043 to be a good display piece with my 8258.
  19. It depends on how much you want to spend, how much time and patience you have, how many stickers do you want, what quality do you want, how long can you wait, etc. I usually make my own on sticker paper or clear inkjet labels on an inkjet color printer. I find a graphics online or make my own and print. It is quick and dirty for one or two custom stickers. Some times they come out great on the first try. Once you are familiar with the colors your printer can output, you know what to adjust to get the look you want. I guess it is like photography--practice, practice... If you have lots of money, you can get a vinyl die cut printer. You can also make the custom graphics and send out to a print shop to do. The print quality is normally excellent but some places have minimum orders. Our LUG do that for display mats. There are lots of options for pre-printed stickers and decals. It is a matter of finding the right ones and sizes for the price you're willing to pay. I don't go that route as my railroad is pure fantasy.
  20. Ok. Space walk. Day 107 of 365: Spacesuit Required by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Other Jar Jar in my flickr album. Updated daily.
  21. Photo Bombing. Bat Photo Bomb by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Economic times are tough for Bruce Wayne.
  22. Modular sections is easier to transport around and possibly get it through your door way and into the car.
  23. How about no connection? My roof is basically held on by gravity. Turn the house upside down and it falls off.
  24. The fun in 8110 is MOCing all sort of implements and attachments for it. See our 8110 MOD thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57543
