  1. I'm curious how well it holds up transporting to events, ease of setup and running non-stop all day. If it takes a lot of effort in maintaining it, then I won't build one.
  2. I think you would get better appeal to the non-train fans by including minifigures instead of the light brick if cost is an issue with your design. Toss in Spiderman and Doc Ock and you'd get the comic fan votes.
  3. Yup, it could be a long wait until the next Creator train. What to do in the meantime? Day 102 of 365: Stupid Train Is Late Again by dr_spock_888, on Flickr

    Car Talk

It looks like how one would attach a picture to Usenet groups after UUencoding it. Snow tires are off the car. No more driving on squishy marshmellows. Bad news, I need new brake drums and struts.
  7. If you're finding topics are repeating, then maybe.
  8. Not sure stud in liftarm hole is illegal. Some Technic sets do that for markers, head and tail lights using 1x1round trans-color studs. Maybe this should be in General. Some of sci fi folks do a lot of crazy connections.

  10. Great work as usual. Lovely cat. A large pictures intensive warning for those of us with slow Internet connections would have been nice.

  12. Thanks for sharing, Tony. Hope some of the kids got interested in LEGO trains from the event. Need more of them younguns in the hobby.
  13. The smooth look can be done with studded by tiling over the studs. Some AFOLs like to go extreme with tiles so that no studs would show. Day 082 of 365: Jar Jar Crossbow by dr_spock_888, on Flickr I doubt LEGO will go back to completely studded Technic. It has as much of a chance as LEGO dumping its Power Functions investment and bringing back the old 9V system of motors.
  14. Come on over to the Train forum -> http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98350&st=450#entry2138196 It's supposed to be released later in the year. Get 60052 if you can't wait that long. It's a good starter set that is currently available and not at the out of production $$$.
  15. I don't think I had that happened. You must have the "Force". I've experienced pages in the instruction booklet clinging to each other when it's dry in the house and static charged.
  16. You make some really good 4 wide apparatus. I think you should get your camera's focusing system checked. A number of your photos have the subject out of focus which makes it hard to admire details of your work.
  17. I missed all the monorail stuff during my Dark Ages. The closest I got was a train MOC that looks kinda like the airport monorail train. Stadler GTW 2/6 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  18. LEGO still uses Technic bricks in a lot of their non-Technic themes. At least some sizes will be around for while until management orders the designers to stop using them. Yes, they are great for electric guitar amps but not very practical to carry around a smartphone made out of vacuum tubes.
  19. I prefer to have both types of pieces too even though I totally missed the studded era during my Dark Ages. Vacuum tubes are still useful in certain applications.
  20. Cool, like the Brady Bunch.
  21. I came across another prototype similar to your MOD.
  22. Micro motors have been out of production for a long time, much longer than NXT. The probability that LEGO still have end of life support for them or have any in their repair stock is very low. I guess it doesn't hurt to drop them a line to confirm.
  23. I have Creator in my town. I've converted Creator vehicles to 4 wide in keeping with Classic town.
  24. Nice run down neighborhood. For street photography one would use a more discreet lens on the camera. Your photographer is saying mug me. I have a big expensive lens.
