  1. The 8878 rechargeable battery box has speed control built-in. The orange round bit with the axle hole is control knob (you would have to supply an Technical axle or something similar to turn it. Seems like an expensive battery box to run a ferris wheel unless you plan to run hours non-stop at an event. The 8882 XL motor has a bigger diameter than the 8883 M-motor. From the video, it looks like the drive axle is at a level of three bricks high. I don't think you'll be able to mount the XL inline with it. I think you'll have to make a motor mount in order to attach it.
  2. I guess it may work for people who are only interested in a building a set and not keeping them. Pleygo is now Pley. They dropped the go in the name. You can make the LDraw files auto-self-destruct after the rental period.
  3. Thanks. I think he is the least drunk too. Thanks. He has 365 lives of which there are 246 left. Negative, sir. Thanks. I think scissor will win. He can stab the other two. How about racing games?
  4. Welcome aboard, Adam.
  5. Another way might be to have a motorized RFID reader move under the table to read each cube left to right. Have a physical grid on the table that cubes are place in known position points.
  6. Neat. Very clean and sanitary.

  10. Lovely collection. Thanks. Pirates have to be resourceful to survive.
  11. Nice MODs. Would printing on inkjet iron-on transfer paper work for making sails? Isn't Imperial Flagship was supposed to be Redcoats?
  12. Nice use of the technic axles and plates. If you're going to take a lot of pictures, it is probably worthwhile making an uncluttered spot to take pics of your MOCs.
  13. Great job. The underwater life and all those gold coins...
  14. I don't buy used sets either. Maybe it has to do with the first born psyche, no hand-me downs. Like buying a used car, it is best to see the goods in person first and do a proper inspection.
  15. I've used Avery white name tag labels for stickers. Mailing labels would be the same. You can download MS Word templates from Avery.com to help you layout your label. To match LEGO color, you can print a swatch of different shades of blue and see which one matches the LEGO blue the closest. That would be one way to do it with playing around with color management profiles. I have 60052 but I don't have a template for the door. I usually measure the area to determine the size of the sticker and re-size the graphics to that.
  16. Assembling and disassembling a large transportable ferris wheel won't be as easy as the setting up the Mixer. You'll need at least 4 trucks and trailers and a crew of minifigs with no fear of height.
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  18. Cool build. Nice compact steering mechanism. Are there any issues with the gears slipping?
  19. Welcome newbie. What themes are your interest?
