  1. Hidden fees seem like a sneaky business practice. Unfortunately LEGO does not qualify under U.S. price gouging laws. Period of Emergency: The majority of laws apply only to price shifts during a time of disaster. Necessary items: Most laws apply exclusively to items which are essential to survival. Price ceilings: Laws limit the maximum price that can be charged for given goods.
  2. Updated to Firefox version 37 on Windows 7. No problems ordering and shipping a set to my nephew in another state recently. Email order confirmations and shipping details all received. Fedex tracking link in LEGO email showed his mom signed for the package.
  3. Or they could ask too much for the license to be worth LEGO's while.
  4. I don't have any style but I do seem to use a lot of pins and axles.
  5. My son's Bionicle socket pieces have cracking problems too.
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks, Ive.
  7. Who are the organizers? The website don't seem to have much info yet. Do you have to be 21 and over to attend due to the casino? BrickCan seems like a fun name. I can think of a bunch of going to the can MOCs for it.
  8. I spell it SASK. I am Canadian according to my Canadian passport.
  9. Welcome to EB. You could display the UCS ISD. Not really for kids play.
  10. Well done. Insects are a good source of protein.
  11. 1 and 2 and 3 and kick. Lift that leg, dad! A Chorus Line by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Hang on to your arm as Wookies have a tendency to rip arms off sockets. Day 110 of 365: Wookie Wants a Cookie by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  12. Very nice. I like how you have him walking on water. Missa Messiah.
  13. Interesting find and great implementation. I think I've seen some forklifts in the same sort of configuration used for moving skids of grass sod off trucks.
  14. Now for something silly. I was planning a stairs GBC module for our upcoming LUG event season. It got morphed into a stress reliever or stress creator depending on how you look at whack a mole. YouTube Video: (I needed something quick for my Jar Jar photo a day project.) Day 111 of 365: Whack a Jar Jar Binks by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  15. I think Adam Tucker only had a run of 1000 units made. So second hand market places like eBay, Kijii, etc. You can also search for rollercoaster on Eurobricks for ideas. There are several working coasters MOCs made out of Technic parts. They are mostly in the Technic forum. But some may be in Special Themes and other places.
  16. You could sell train travel as having more leg room and no nude xrays yet. At least Amtrak is getting new rolling stock and possibly expanding high speed in California. No high speed in Canada... LOL, looks like a good addition to the Ghost train set.
  17. Vinyl tape = giant vinyl sticker?
  18. Awesome build. At 126 studs it would qualify for S.H.I.P. in the sci-fi space theme world. (SHIP = serious huge investment in parts)
  19. You could install an awning outside the window to provide some shade if your local bylaws permit them. Put some fans inside to blow cooling air over your train layout. Paint the train motors a light color to reflect light and heat. Black gets hot under the sunlight. You could hook up the transformers to a programmable timer and set up cycles of running and resting/cooling.
  20. Welcome to Eurobricks. Which part of Canada are you in?
  21. Cool. The Friends are not that friendly, it would seem.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks, Marc.
  23. Welcome aboard, David.
