Technic Photography

Nice effect. It looks like it was photoshopped in except for the bottom of rear wheel. -
I think it would stand out more if you have one of those silver tinsel trees from the 1960's.

Great job. I like smart car. Tough crowd here, maybe you could have done this type instead. -
Welcome aboard. What does RNLI stand for? Royal Navy?

Why is LEGO now being made in China?
dr_spock replied to 9v system's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would think parts that involve manual assembly like motors or hand painted details would be made in a region with lower labour costs. -
So Many Lego 'Themes' - Where is TLG headed?
dr_spock replied to DrJB's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have no issues with LEGO coming out with so many themes. I don't see it a problem unless you're trying to build a LEGO museum collection of every set. I too buy fewer sets now but more individual pieces from LEGO like PAB wall. -
LEGO is hiring for a business analyst. That is job to get if you really want to analyze their theme performance with real sales data. The position is in Demark. My local LEGO Retail Brand stores do seem to restock shelves throughout the day.

Nice work. Is the Robel type MOW powered?
-
60051 could pass for a Renfe CAF train. 3 car passenger set is similar to short regional passenger trains like the Stadler Flirt. 60051 probably looks better if there is at least one more car but it depends on your CITY's train ridership. If you have the parts you could MOD 60051 to the Renfe version of the TGV. 60051 has a similar color scheme.

Are you a Lego building masochist?
dr_spock replied to Cyanide-Tipped's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You should try a MOC and photo a day project for a year. Now that's masochistic and turn any sorted collection into a disaster. For building sets, I go by the numbered bags. Opening too many bags at once just gives the cat more opportunity to hijack more parts. -
Server Moved (to new datacenter)
dr_spock replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I used to be in IT and stuff like this happens from time to time. It's business as usual (BAU). If it was down for a week then it'll be really hard. -
Clever use of the Jar-Jar fig. Not too many people use him in MOCs. Now is that a good or bad discovery?
-
Beautiful work. Hope it makes it to a few events or shows.

You could put in your will what you want done with your LEGO after you have passed. If you don't have a will then your collection will be at the discretion of your estate. I think I have enough pieces to make a casket and head stone.
