SBrick General Discussion
dr_spock replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
^ Nice deal. They'll ship you a grey Sbrick plus a black case. You will have to swap out the grey case with the black one yourself.- 780 replies

$100 to $200? New or used? I think you shoot with a Nikon camera. Maybe another Nikon like the L840 or L830 which is around $200 USD or so.

This is very nice. Good job on capturing the curves.

75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion
dr_spock replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
A trademark is not the same as a copyright. A trademark is a word, symbol or design, including a logo or the shape of goods or of their packaging, that distinguishes the goods of one company from those of another company. A copyright is an exclusive right to make or distribute copies, by any means, of original written and artistic materials. LEGO sticker sheets have the copyright notice printed on them. You may see a trademark symbol if the LEGO logo is on a sticker. The brick printing company should get permission from the owner of the copyright first. -
Welcome to Eurobricks. Good planning to add things you like as there is a chance he could enter the Dark Ages and you have to take care of his LEGO collection.

And having to wash the cat pee off the LEGO pieces. Don't wash chromed pieces, the chrome comes off. I am not sure if it was the detergent and/or reaction with cat pee.

Saturn V in smaller size would be great. One meter tall might be unwieldy to swoosh play.

Why is the Series 1 Zombie so expensive?
dr_spock replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The supply thing may keep the S1 Zombie prices on the high side. Only so many were produced and a fraction of that may be available for sale on the aftermarket at any one time. An army of S1 Zombie is possible if you have the financial means.- 43 replies

Creating a LUG is not much different than creating any kind of social recreation club. You need to get a group of interested people together. You'll have to market the idea to drum up interest and membership. Decide on how to structure the club. You can have formal bylaws/rules on how the club is run or you run it informally. Who is going to do what in the club? Does the club need money to run? Do you want to have membership fees and./or other ways to raise money. Where to hold meetings? Physical location or virtual meetings. What kind of activities and events you want to do or get involved in? If you want your LUG to be recognized by LEGO then your LUG will have to meet some requirements: https://lan.lego.com/faq An online presence like website, Facebook, or blog can help communicate with your members or provide information to potential new members. LUG T-shirt or clothing is optional. But it does look nice when you all have the same LUG shirts at events or shows.

[MOD] Horizon Express - double PF in one cab
dr_spock replied to Paperballpark's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Neat. I've ran a double HE with one motor and it ran ok on level track with a long straight before the 90 deg curve. I replaced the Technic axle bogies with regular free rolling bogies on my HE which seemed to help.
