I started writing on the left and then was schooled that right is right. I find some things I do better left handed and other things better right handed.

Ha, curiosity killed the cat? -
Don't wait too long to build those sets. Some times Fate may not be too kind with our life spans. I think we all would like to help him out getting those sets built.

Eurobricks is not intended to be an image hosting site. People put their photos on flickr, brickshelf, photobucket and other image hosting sites and deep link them back to their posts on Eurobricks. Acceptable image size is usually 800x600 but no bigger than 1024x768.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 poll
dr_spock replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like the animal ranger's skunk. It's perfect to stink up my vignettes. Is there a reason the official names are not used? An embargo date? Could that cause confusion further in the future? -

Thanks for the great review, WhiteFang. The ones with animals are definitely a buy. -

You can download LEGO train sets instructions from LEGO.com or Brickset.com. I think you can use Rebrickable to get list of parts if you want to make a list by hand. Also there are LEGO Digital Designer models of LEGO sets on Eurobricks, you can get a part list out of LDD. Then buy the pieces to make from various sources like LEGO.com, Bricklink, local sellers, etc. You'll have to compare to see which one is the better deal for NZ. There are tools like Brickeffiency to narrow down Bricklink sellers with the parts.

Are Clone Lego Brands bad for LEGO?
dr_spock replied to The Steward's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think most people are smart enough to know the difference between buying the real thing versus a clone. It is no different than buying OEM car parts versus aftermarket parts. Depending on your personal and financial situation you may opt for one or the other. The important thing is have a choice. A monopoly is bad for the consumers' pocket book but good for the owners and share holders. I used to and nobody called the police on my Mother back then. I think the EU has laws regarding confiscation of counterfeit good by country customs. If it gets passed customs, the police can still raid the store selling counterfeit goods. The LEGO Movie says the age is just a suggestion. It's up to you as the parent to determine if your child is ready for a certain toy or not. Some kids can be a lot smarter than we give them credit for.- 70 replies

Are Clone Lego Brands bad for LEGO?

I think it bothers them enough to put out a Fair Play brochure to educate. It even features a screen shot of Eurobricks.- 70 replies

MOC: Power Miners Rock Crusher

Thanks for the comments. I added with more lime green and turned it into a Rock Monster crusher. -
Great job. You captured it well. Mom always said, "Have clean underwear in case you get into an accident." Buy clean new underwear, eat a heart attack burger and be cremated when EMS can't revive you.

Your local public library may also have books on model railroad benchwork that you can borrow.

Serious play: 2000409 - Please explain . . . .
dr_spock replied to Breakdown's topic in General LEGO Discussion
What did you think of the workshop? How does it compare to similiar type of workshops? Yes, the course content creators would also write an instructor guide for the facilitator in additional to the student course material. The instructor kit could have list of tools required, how long each module should take to cover, lesson suggestions, quizzes, presentation material, etc. At least that was the way it was done back in the days when I was in corporate education. -
Inconsistency with Power Functions order accuracy
dr_spock replied to ProducePrincess's topic in General LEGO Discussion
When did you made your orders? I haven't had any Power Functions order problem before. Last time I ordered Power Functions was double VIP point a couple months ago. -
Hard to pick a fav. I like them all. I voted 14 since it is scary. My favorite fig keeps changing. Right now it is spider lady.

Brethren of the Brick Seas Poll
dr_spock replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
How many figs are needed for each faction to participate? Do we have to build in the style of Historica's castle and greeblings?
