Good job. It looks the Front Runner part. You are pretty much at the limit for curves. Making it longer, you could encounter derailings like the real Front Runners.

Very nice aircraft fleet.

Manias in building?
dr_spock replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I too have Organized Color Display. When I didn't have enough red pieces to finish an incomplete 2nd hand Power Crane set, where I substituted black, I made sure it was symmetric. 8854 Power Crane by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Maybe we can form a self-help group. -

I find it helps with the longer pieces. -
Welcome Hugues. Those are some good looking creations.

Maybe Mr. Gold ended up all over here. A few LUG members found Mr. Gold at various local stores. Can they adopt me? All mine ever give me for Xmas are clothes.

It can depend on where you are going to buy that retiring set. If it is online, odds are good it will disappear quicker as more people can easily get to it. It may sit around longer at a local store if it is a set people in the area aren't interested in or it is in an area without a lot of resellers. You have to gauge your competition and market conditions. Generally speaking, if you snooze, you lose.

AFOLs have used aftermarket chromed LEGO pieces in their MOCs. Pieces seem to fit fine together with the extra layer of chrome on the LEGO. I think the problem with chrome for LEGO is children play wears the chrome off the plastic. Children ingesting loose chrome bit does not look for good in the eyes of safety. Another problem is customers washing their LEGO. This what a LEGO chromed piece looks like after coming out of the wash. Oops... Chrome parts work best for collectible items or sets that are intended for display and not play.

Welcome Cupofcake. Have fun.

Great build. The rock work rocks. Is that bluecoat going to be a former bluecoat?

MOC: Power Miners Rock Crusher
dr_spock replied to dr_spock's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. In the Power Miners theme, orange was used mainly for the tools like the cutting wheels, jackhammer, shovel, buckets, etc. for the year 2009 released sets. So an orange conveyor belt would be perfect as Peppermint_M suggested. Unfortunately LEGO doesn't make that in orange. In the 2010 release. the sets didn't appear to use orange except for trans-orange marker lights. Tools were now blue. Lime green was the common color between the 2 years. More lime green would be good too. Back to the drawing board... -
[WIP][MOC] Lego Pneumatic Train a new rig.

Cool. Would an air tank and a couple more compressors help? -
Nice. Does she have plenty of passengers to fill the cars and spill out after the crash? LEGO train crash videos do seem quite popular on YouTube.

LOL. I like how your switches magically worked at the beginning of the video. Good work. That is quite useful. Your code is getting bigger. Do you have a text version available?

Dinosaurs like spices. Do they have the skills to open the cap? Dr. Pepper tastes better in plastic bottle than in cans. I believe that would be asking for the beat up the mascot type of trouble. Thank you. I probably will have enough material for a daily calendar except for 2016 which has 366 days. -
Like concert tickets, I think it is dependent on the popularity of the sets in the themes you buy or collect. I haven't had problems with Technics and trains. Showing up early at the LEGO store ticket booth can help too.

Indirectly Mattel's Mega Blok is paying to keep this LEGO fan website running through ad revenue.
