  1. Nice build. I thought the Sea Rats acquisition protocol is to get your crew together and pry the ship from the cold dead hands of the "former" owner(s)?
  2. Welcome aboard Marco. I bought 7991 too when I got out of the Dark Ages.
  3. Welcome Giuseppe.
  4. Hello kitty. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  5. Nicely done. Sad to see a MOC sunset for a new build.
  6. That's my understanding too. You get 25db for signing up and presenting your sigfig in the fraction's sign up thread. If you build also a scene featuring your sigfig in a separate topic, it'll count as a freebuild after you registered it as a freebuild in the proper freebuild thread of the month. I think hanging by your toes from the nearest palm tree sounds better. So is it possible to sell your ship without using the services of a property agent by starting a for sale thread yourself and completing the transaction through the form?
  7. You could use the white hull pieces from LEGO Friend's Dolphin Cruiser to build up a flagship for the bluecoats. A white hulled flagship would make the bluecoats standout from the Redcoats.
  8. Yes. It counts. I won that set in the pillage and plunder contest last year. I haven't received the prize yet but it should be a fun set when it gets here.
  9. Some times valid members make titles that could sound like spam but their post is not spam. This is a 18+ site. If you worry about reading possible lewd stuff, just ignore those messages and let someone else report it. There are enough people reporting spam that you don't have expose yourself to such material. It is best to open and read the message to confirm it is really spam. Otherwise, you could be wasting the moderators' time with false accusations.
  10. Build a snow plow MOC and send it out to rescue your train and tracks. The snow doesn't look too bad. Looks like a typical snow day when I lived in the Great White North.
  11. I have some old gray tracks. One thing I found is the clips on the dark gray 2x8 tie plate can get fragile over time and break off. I think you can also snap the 12V power rails onto the current PF tracks and run 12V trains.
  12. Looks great. German E69 - 9V version by Thomas Selander, on Flickr
  13. Krazy Glue with air bags and/or foam peanuts may be sufficient for what you want to do. Try some courier abusive drop tests before mailing it out.
  14. I would add to the list: Power Functions: Battery boxes XL motors M motors L motors servo motors IR Receivers IR controllers IR speed controllers Train motors PF extension wires various gears and train tracks I suppose plants could be used with Technic. 15. Would Brickarms PDW work for your needs? http://www.brickarms.com/Combat-PDW.php
  16. Tardis do rhyme with target.
  17. Dalek Shooting Range by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  18. Flying Dutchman with bley hull pieces? That's always a risk with doing merchandising parallel to the movie production before the final cuts and edits were made.
  19. Thanks for the demo. That definitely works much better than my fish tank air pump. How is it at 5V? I run my GBC outdoors off a 12V SLA battery with a 12V to 9V converter. I'm wondering if a 12V to 5V USB converter may power it?
  20. I whipped together a motorized turbo tank MOC for an upcoming Star Wars weekend event at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. It's 25 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 17 inches high. It features Power Functions, 8 wheel steering, suspension, 10 large Unimog tires, reinforced internal Technic frame in case kids or adults there can't read the 'Do Not Touch' signs. My MOC had to be built with parts I had on hand. The Empire Monetary Fund (EMF) is too broke to finance BrickLink orders after Christmas. Motorized Turbo Tank by dr_spock_888, on Flickr As you can see, I added some non-Star Wars bits for kids to spot. Video:
  21. Thanks for the video, it's interesting to see the insides. You could buy assorted packs of small plastic motor gears from hobby shops or online. If you have the measurements of outside diameter, pitch diameter, pitch, etc. you could find an exact match.
  22. http://blogs.disney.com/insider/2016/01/20/new-release-dates-announced-for-star-wars-episode-viii-and-pirates-of-the-caribbean-dead-men-tell-no-tales/ I wouldn't call that great news. Now I have to wait until Christmas to see Star Wars. It'll be interesting to see what merchandising will come with the new PoTC.
  23. Oh no. Did you have restart from the beginning? I was dreading the mast collapsing when I was doing my ratlines. I tried using left over embroidery tear away stablizer for sails. It's thicker than paper and stiffer than fabric. I haven't tried inkjet printing on it yet.
