Lego train climbing to the second floor.
dr_spock replied to Finn_french's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Welcome to Eurobricks, Michel. Did you try engine braking or reverse to slow the train down on the descent. -
PLEASE NO SPOILERS Episode VII. Is it good?
dr_spock replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in Culture & Multimedia
What's old is new again. It was good, better than PT. It was like a passing of the torch, er light sabre, from the old to a new generation to carry on the fight. -
Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now I can look at the Eurobricks Star Wars threads again.

Nice. I've seen bears riding in Ladas but haven't seen bears fly before. Suggestion for the video, it was hard to read quickly with the font you used. A solid color font would have worked better or have the text display longer.

Maybe a LEGO Ambassador can pass the suggestions to The LEGO Group.

Each section would be isolated into "blocks" and controled by its own transformer is one way of doing it. Another way is to run another set of wires from your transformer to the track in the section with problem. Be sure the wires are connected to the proper rail. This way you can control with one transformer. This is done some times in scaled model railroading. Assuming it'll work with LEGO too. The copper wires would have less resistance and voltage won't be lost due to track connections, joiners, etc. along the way.

Welcome to Eurobricks, Troy. -
Good work. Plenty of space for the turtle to play.

What's a Sea Rat without her ship? Susieh Cheng has the White Skull, a class 2A armed sloop. The White Skull by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Her cabin boy in the crow's nest has spotted something in the water. Is it more prey? The ship sailed towards the object in the water. They found a soldier adrift on a raft. "Please help me. I have been at seas for days without food or water. By the way, what happened to your eye?" The ship sailed on without rescuing the soldier. The soldier thought, "Hmpf, what just happened? Did I say something wrong?" This is my first attempt at making sails and rigging. I hope they are ok. Tying those tiny knots was hard without reading glasses. More pictures on the Brickshelf.

Neat idea and build. Smoking in bed could be very bad.

Very nice. Will Eslandola be donating it to the Sea Rats?

I find the quickest setup and tear down is with large sheets of construction paper for $1 or less at the Dollar Store. They bend smoothly for a seamless background. Also when I'm done, I toss them on the top of a book shelf to keep them flat. Less effort than when I was using a light box and having fold it up to put it away. I've used color fabric inserts with my lightbox. Once they wrinkled, it's a pain to iron out the wrinkles.

[MOC] German Regional-Express with doubledeck coaches and Vectron engi
dr_spock replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great job and building techniques. Interesting to see a Vectron instead of Traxx locomotive. Nice work on the Vectron grille.- 11 replies

Isn't that the proper pirate way to acquire a boat? Thank you. I don't know. I don't think she ever told anyone who lived to talk about it. Thank you. Thanks. I think I'm still in the Pillage the Village mode. Thank you. Thank you. Pick off the smaller fractions first before they can form an alliance with a bigger fraction to take on you. Or it could be I have redcoat figs and a lack of bluecoat and green coat figs. Thanks. I thought I'd try something a little different for character.

[Microchallenge] A mysterious chest, floating in the sea...
dr_spock replied to Pimbo's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great builds for an unofficial challenge. Probably should have "unofficial" in the title. Nice job on the Sea Rat flag. The 32 stud ship limit is for the Challenge II build From what I understand you get a free license for a class 1 or 2 ship, basically a sloop or cutter. Anything bigger you have to have enough DB to buy the license if you want to license it for the game. I don't think there is a limit size for free builds.- 23 replies

[WIP] Technic Dalek
dr_spock replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I tried that before on the NXT. The speaker is not very loud, you can barely hear exterminate in a noisy room. Not sure about the EV3 as I don't have one. -
Lone Ranger Passenger Cars? (Mid 18th Century American Style)
dr_spock replied to supertruper1988's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Here is a picture I took of the DVD cover earlier this year. It has the movie train in the background. It was such a bad movie but probably worth renting if you want to make your train cars match the movie. -
Lone Ranger Passenger Cars? (Mid 18th Century American Style)

Maybe the green 10015 or blue 4186876 passenger wagon or the 7597 Toy Story Western Train Chase? -

Thanks. My crazy project of 365 days of nonstop Jar Jar fun has just completed. I am going to take break to clean up and sort my LEGO workspace. -

You can also use technic bricks to mount the AAA battery box. -
[WIP] Technic Dalek
dr_spock replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Cool. Is it remote controlled? I tried to make one years ago out of an NXT but didn't have the parts for the body work. -
Constitution train engine has little bits that can fall off in bed. Maybe make it less detailed or something like your old 7722 would hold up better to being hugged. You can squeeze all the PF bits into a tender or box car.

Hi, Marco from Italy and i know i have a problem with bricks
dr_spock replied to MarcoMe's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome to EB, Marco. Having no money can help with alleviating the problem of buying too many sets.
