  1. Thanks for sharing. I am not running an ad blocker software but I see a black screen with "advertisement" between pictures.
  2. Nice. Happy building.
  3. I did a quick test with a basic air pump from my aquarium. http://youtu.be/C2rPRa_ZMg4 '>http://youtu.be/C2rPRa_ZMg4 It kind of works up to a point. Then it hits a limit. The more expensive aquarium high pressure air pumps for ponds and very large aquariums would probably work better. They are as expensive as airbrush compressors though...
  4. I think you are better buying new from LEGO. If you buy $75 CAD or more, you can get free shipping from LEGO.com. It might be easier to get replacement from LEGO if you have a sales receipt from them. Lowest price for new M-motor on Bricklink is $13 CAD. On LEGO Shop@Home is $10 CAD. Used motors can be hit or miss. But if you're on a tight budget, then they are an option.
  5. Nicely done. I like how you disguised B-B boogies behind C-C side frames. Very effective.
  6. My fish tank air compressor is pretty noisy. I think an airbrush compressor with a pressure control valve would work better.
  7. Volvo is quicker to play and to be retired soon. If you want both and don't want to pay the retired set price premium, I'd start off with the Volvo.
  8. Cool build. I like the sleek look of the tracks close together.
  9. Great idea. I think a video of it in operation would be cool. Does the train ever have enough momentum to fly past the control rail? I did something for end of line to stop, pause, and reverse PF trains using a PF infrared control commands and magnetic train detection:
  10. Having a humidifier during those dry winter months could help reduce static dust attracting charge. Wearing a food preparation hair net or baseball cap could also help reduce chances of loose hair falling into the stickering zone. When applying stickers or decals, press down from one side to the other side so that any air can be pushed out along the way and not be trapped.
  11. Haha, welcome aboard, mateys.
  12. I don't think I have unfinished unless you count the finished projects that haven't got around to photographing and sharing.
  13. Nice job on the dump truck module. It is even Dynamo labeled with your name.
  14. I had problems with tires leaching out chemicals over time. I have a 1980 fire station set that sat on a book shelf for decades. The fire truck tires are still fine but the fire station base plate has tire tread etched in like hand print in wet cement. Electronic components can also wear down and fail over time like this 2200mF capacitor in my NXT. It exploded when the NXT was powered on with bang and smoke fanfare. It even shot out electrolyte at small capacitor. LEGO NXT Repair? by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  15. Thank you very much. No wonder I couldn't find them. I was searching in Technic hubs on BrickLink since a Technic axle could fit in the holes.
  16. I am stumped. Anyone know what these are? Thanks.
  17. Maybe they stole that rule idea from Eurobricks. Eurobricks Site Guidelines: English skills and Clarity: Try to be clear and precise when posting and use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. We do tolerate bad English as we are a site that welcomes users from all around the world, but we don't tolerate laziness. No l33t sp34k or "texting language". We don't criticize international users who are non-native English speakers, but are trying to post in English. You probably couldn't do as well in their language. Bear this in mind. LEGO Ideas House Rules: Use proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. Your project title and description text should be clearly understood and in proper case. Do not use ALL CAPS, all lowercase, MiXEd cAsE, txtspeak, ch4tsp34k, heavy punctuation!!!!!!!, etc. (As you can see, it’s hard to read).
  18. Picked up a couple 70409 Shipwreck Defense sets on clearance.
  19. Thanks for sharing. How did you count 25,000+ visitors?
  20. I think I would be fine with any new sets that have tan train windows and they are available on Pick-A-Brick or any other LEGO avenue to ordering many.
  21. Nice. Security camera in the LEGO room is a good idea.
  22. There can be environmental and user factors at play. ABS plastic can be weakened by UV light, exposure to certain chemicals, internal stresses from moulding, external mechanical forces, etc. Speaking of external forces, I cracked my first 1/2 stud pushing it out of a Technic brick the other day with an axle. I don't think I ever had that happened before. The other 1/2 studs in that same brick pushed out without cracking.
  23. Fresh clean snow may be fine. I would avoid road salted snow or slush.
  24. Nice. I went downsizing. I needed the tires for another MOC and slapped on some LEGO balloon tires to hold it up in the meantime. The servo steering seems to work better with the PF Train Speed controller.
  25. Pretty cool stuff. With your printer you have the makings of an EV3 photocopier or a bluetooth fax machine.
