    For some reason, it is more fun sorting other people's bricks than your own. Do you provide air transportation and room and board?

    Thanks for the review. It's my first PF train set. I modified my loco with PF ditch lights and a bit GP38'ish looks. Everything is now parted for other train MOCs. It's a great starter set nonetheless.

    Nice 80's style. I have fond memories of the GG1 from being pulled into New York City by one. I think the headlight enclosure was bigger than a 1x1 stud.

    I'd say EMD GP40. Although, there is no real life GP40 in Maersk colours. Keep in mind that LEGO are toys. Toys are a simplified representation. They aren't necessarily an exact model replica of real life prototype. I think trying to read too much into a toy can lead to bouts of madness.

    Very nice. That's quite a number of old figs.

    You might be also able to 3D print at your local public library. Some of them have 3D printers to use for free or a small fee. They can be a lot cheaper than Shapeways depending on your requirements.

    We have our LUG name, logo, some background graphics and website on our banner. You can also add a QR-CODE for your LUG website if there is space.

    Open means open ended, the tracks do not form a continuous loop. You would have to stop the train at the end of line and reverse to go in the other direction.

    I have no desire to modify LDD LXF files. LEGO sets, on the other hand, some personalization doesn't hurt.

    Not bad. There are transclear LEGO half sphere pieces you can use for the above train. Add some LEDs for the "glow".
