A missile wagon should be ok. I posted an Amtrak missile train before. It didn't get nuked.

As the IP owner, Disney would get final approval to any SW CMF line. Even if it is not the contract, TLG can always go back to Disney to ask to amend the terms of the contract to allow for SW CMF. Contracts can be changed if both parties agree. The problem may be Hasbro has an exclusivity clause for action figurines in their contract with Disney, in which case, they could sue Disney for breaking their contract terms by allowing TLG. Then it can become who has more money to fight a long dragged out law suit or settle out of court.

Cool. I think the U.K. has something similiar looking. P.S. Brickshelf pictures don't have to be moderated before you can deeplink the pics here. Moderation is only needed when you want to put in the link to the Brickshelf folder and people to browse the folder content.

Haha, good story. That's a fine microscale Great Scott. You can also say "canadien" (en francais). Who told her that? Unexpected Visitors by dr_spock_888, on Flickr

Kjeld names Thomas as his successor at TLG
dr_spock replied to Legogal's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I knew Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen has the same initials and Legogal meant him in the context of LEGO. -
Prisons would be like a government owned hotel where "guests" can check in but not out. There would be upkeep costs for security and feeding the guests.

Theoretically, you can use a basic steam engine for an atomic powered train. You would replace the coal or wood or oil fired boiler box with a nuclear reactor. The heat from radioactive decay would be used to heat water to make steam. The tender can hold more water as you don't need wood/coal/oil. If you want to get fancy, you can replace pistons with a turbine that drives an electric generator. Then you can have an nuclear-electric engine.

Best PPP would be a well packed Pick A Brick cup from the PAB wall of the pieces you wanted. Without details of the amount of effort LEGO put into the development of the GT3 and how much Porsche charges for the license versus a regular non-licensed set of similar size and function, it would be hard to determine the difference in production cost.

Awesome build. You raised the bar on the ISD builds. The interior really adds to the play value.

I think somewhere in this thread I have a picture of 2x4s I filled a cup with. I don't remember the exact count. In general, you get better value with the PAB cup. You can fill the empty spaces with other pieces. But it takes time to cram as many pieces as you can in. I guess you can also factor in how much your time is worth to you to decide.

I get down on my knees when my MOC falls apart to pick up the pieces... (to the tune of the Righteous Brothers' ).LEGO, LEGO, I get down on my knees for you. If you only have clutch power like you used to do, yeah. You have a grip, a grip, a grip you don't find everyday. So don't, don't, don't, don't let it slip away. LEGO (LEGO), LEGO (LEGO) I beg of you please...please, I need your clutch (I need your clutch), I need your clutch (I need your clutch), Well, bring it on back (So bring it on back), Bring it on back (so bring it on back). Bring back that clutchin' feelin' Whoa, that clutchin' feelin' Bring back that clutchin' feelin' 'Cause it's gone...gone...gone And I can't go on, woah

It's $350 CAD in Canada. At current exchange rates, it is $277 USD or 245€. That's not including sales taxes. Best deal would be to buy in Alberta which has the lowest sales tax in the country for about $290USD with tax. I think there are a lot non-AFOL Porsche fans who would buy it simply because it's Porsche. If it doesn't sell well, I may buy it when they discount it.

Aye. Screech is the name of a dark rum from Newfoundland, Canada. You could use it to wash down a meal of cod tongues and seal flippers.- 897 replies

Watched the Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I think it's better than the prequels.

The two middle wires of the 4 conductor cable is the motor control. The outer 2 wires are not used in the motor.

I think most of that will die down once Jim does his indepth review. (I don't think Jim will hand review off to Blackbird.) Then we'll get a better idea of we're getting versus judging from pictures and basic video. There will always to be the disappointed crowd on the Internet. It's same with other products like cameras, shoes, etc.

I think your tank width is fine for open country combat. -
42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator
dr_spock replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If you look at BWEs out there, BWE designs favor function over form. It is a big machine in a dirty dusty open pit mine where most of the people do not get to visit and see. Mining companies buy them based on volume of material moved per hour and reliability instead of how sexy they look. Nothing to say you can't MOD your LEGO BWE into something prettier. It's LEGO afterall. Bucket Wheel Excavator GBC by dr_spock_888, on Flickr -
42056 - Porsche Speculation
dr_spock replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Price is high but Porsche is a premium brand. Porsche could charge LEGO a premium licensing fee. Besides I think VW Group needs all the revenue it can get to help pay for the diesel-gate. -

That is old school and would require some foot work to shift. It would be an interesting MOD for someone to try.
