Fascinating. What do you plan to do with them? I have two in white that I haven't found a MOC for them yet.

I am not aware of any adult Megabloks fan clubs like LUGs. You could start one. There are a few MegaBlok pages on Facebook.

Have LEGO products become more violent?
dr_spock replied to bartneck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
LEGO didn't make sets with weapons back in 1970s. Some of us had to make guns out of 2x4 bricks to play cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians back then. In the 1980s we could pretend the megaphone piece was a minifig gun. Come to think of it, the early Star Wars sets Stormtroopers used megaphones for blasters. You can still violence play with weaponless LEGO. It take a bit more creativity and imagination though. Day 097 of 365: Are You Feeling All Chipper Today? by dr_spock_888, on Flickr The topic of weapons has been debated numerously and almost regularly in the Town Forum, if you need more weapons opinions for your article. -
I think having PF and a circle of track would make it an easier sell for a non train AFOL parent to put a moving LEGO train under the family Christmas tree.

I think the original spirit of sistershipping is for destroyed ships. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=118542 If a vessel is destroyed, we encourage builders to MOC a new vessel for the next license. However, we know that that could be time-consuming, so you can attach a new license to an old MOC that was licensed previously even if it has been long disassembled. Do give your ship a new name though. We can assume that your character(s) went to the old shipwright and bought a sister ship.

It is basically build once, paid twice if you can get lucky through auction, future MRCA capture, etc. of the original ship. Although, sistershipping does not encourage building. Maybe some limit on the number of times a MOC can be sistershipped.

So much tan. 23" tall may limit it to where it can be displayed at home.

Ouch. That's pretty early for a timing belt failure. Do you have an interference type engine? Nice. I don't think I've seen a 412 before.

Does LEGO actually destroy their molds or not?
dr_spock replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There could be trade secrets in the molds. Injection molding plastic is an art as much as a science. How the channels are laid out, the size of the channels, etc. can play a key role in the quality of the output, proper cooling to avoid molding stress in the plastic which can lead to cracks later on. -
Normal users can't lock topics. You have special powers due to your role in managing the Technic Hall of Fame.

I don't think that is an option in the current MRCA. Troops can repel a boarding party. But having troops mean you'll have to pay and feed them. Also they can take up valuable cargo space. In the age of sail, ship owners were known to sail with minimal crew and reduced the number of guns to make room for more cargo. That's why some merchant ship captain would rather surrender than battle a pirate.

As per the new rules, the Sea Rats can hire a contractor to grant Captain Braunsfield's wish for a more glorious ending than sinking. It's complicated. Sea Rats are not all pirates. For example, our leader Rachel Bones runs a drinking establishment. Congrats, when do you plan to get married and have many kids?

Packing my Minifig collection for a move
dr_spock replied to Mercury's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't think you'll be throwing your box around like a courier or driving over every giant road bump. You can probably individually Saran wrap them. Put them in a box and off you go. That would probably be the quickest as you don't have to open and close zip lock bags or tape bubble packs shut. -
I think that can be arranged. Let us know your coordinates for the next MRCA.

Haha, love the rancor. That banner part doesn't show up on my iPad. Bunny is helping clean his sharp teeth. -

I am not feeling the spring in the new banner. It is still snowing here in the Great White North. -

Haha, good vignette. I think you can get the Octan logo out of the Ying and Yang if you changed the colours to red and green. More octane for the bedroom. -
