  1. Interesting, I have not seen that Bond movie before. After reading Google search results, maybe it should be called Golden Thighs instead of Goldeneye. Thank you.
  2. LOL. Funny build and story. Everybody is smiling like they won the lottery or something.
  3. Very nice vignettes and clever building. It's like how a TV studio could layout the production sets. That book case could pass for a 1960s TV with a color test pattern.
  4. Good story telling and action. That Sinbad is pretty fast with the harpoon.
  5. Dang it, maybe I should have put a red shirt on Jar Jar. I suppose you can do something next year for Star Wars 40th birthday or the 35th anniversary of my favorite ST movie: The Wrath of Kahn.
  6. Discounted GS sets were useful sets for parts drafts. There were some interesting pieces. I guess in that regard, they were well received by some AFOLs.
  7. It is possible some people may be allergic to the release agent used in the injection molding process. It could be a rare allergy like a mango allergy. Some times fresh new LEGO tires come with greasy oily film on them too. You can wash off with warm soapy water. Come to think of it, washing your toys before playing might not be a bad idea. I wash my store bought new clothes before wearing. I have bought generic Rice Krispies ® to make marshmellow squares. I used a food grade release agent in the mold. It helps to get the squares out of the mold. There are some health risks eating that release agent depending on whose science study you read. If it leads to disease, then it is taking the big pharma company brand drug or the generic drug depending on what your health insurance plan is willing to pay. If there is no generic version, then you could be in trouble if the sole drug manufacturer decides to raise the price of the brand version by several hundred percent like those EpiPens recently in the USA. Not good if you're that guy with allergy to the Lepin release agent. If you really want to be super safe, it would be best to send a sample to your own trusted laboratory to be tested before you put it in your mouth. It may be too late by the time you hear of the food recall on the TV news. Some times a bad batch may make it pass the safety testing people or they only test a small random sample. Companies do get fined for stuff like bad hamburger meat. China takes it one step further and execute. Consumers in China are no different in wanting safe products like everybody else.
  8. Facebook says: "No results found for your query."
  9. You can use bluerender or LDD2POV to render your LDD images to look better. Presentation is key.
  10. Yesterday for 50th, I dusted off my old Phaser and pit it against the SW Blaster. Don't forget to set to stun first... Blaster vs Phaser by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  11. Nice use of the purple train windows from the Knight Bus. Yellow works well as a complimentary colour to purple and black. Where did you put the head from Knight Bus?
  12. Yes. I guess the set designers watched 1960s Batman where everything was "properly" labeled.
  13. Maybe a ghost ship took everyone away. Day 249 of 365: Ghost Ship by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks. There are quite a few of us 50+ here. I think waiting for sale can help with the hobby expenses but modulars usually don't go on sale.
  15. Thank you. I think it could fit as a scandal story for the Sea Rats tabloid paper. Thank you. You could build one too. Nothing in the rules say you can't. Besides I don't qualify to win since I'm on the leadership board. Thank you. He does seem to have a smile on his face. Thank you. It was hard trying to come up with a title. Thank you. Something Max might do? Thank you. I think they could do some builds on plugging holes in the information leaks. Thank you. Xenia as in Greek hospitality? Thank you. Who is Xenia?
  16. Very nice work. Great detailing on the EP-1. Welcome to the Boxcab Consortium.
  17. I voted for Voltron too. I think there is a large market for it overseas. That may hinge on how much the owner wants for and the terms of the license.
  18. Cute. Do you have enough parts to get it to 100 studs long?
  19. To save time, real rotary dumper hopper cars use couplers that can rotate so that uncoupling is not necessary. Theoretically, if you can center the pivot point at the LEGO magnetic couplers touch, you should be able to rotate without decoupling. That also involves stopping the locomotive at the exact spot not to get tipped. Otherwise disaster ensues. There are a couple of self contained decoupler in locomotive MOCs in the Train forum that can also be used to automatic the decoupling.
  20. It crashes my iPad's Safari. There is an ongoing topic regarding the website: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107119&st=125
  21. Awesome idea. I was wondering how long before someone is going to use those new gear pieces from the Bucket Wheel Excavator for that.

    PRR B1

Very nice B1. Good job squeezing in the Power Functions. I made my B1 into a BB1 to have more room for the Power Functions. Slow moving is correct for the B1. I don't think they went faster than 25 M.P.H. in real life. There is a consortium? Are there annual dues to join?

  24. YE WARNING: This post contains content that is adult in nature like in Black Sails. If you are under 18 or are easily offended by adult content, hit the BACK button now on your web browser. Our story begins with an Eslandolan crew taking some R&R at the local reputable establishment before setting off on a critical mission for the empire. Maybe it is in vino veritas.
  25. Nice. Looks good on blue rails too. 800x600 is preferred, given there are folks with slow Internet connections or data plan caps.
