  1. Welcome to Eurobricks, Brynden.
  2. Welcome aboard, Thomas.
  3. How do you find out your video has been stolen? Is there some sort of automated monitoring that can be set up?
  4. The old Technic friction pins were difficult for children and some adults to get out. The change was probably for easier removal and quality of their play experience. Maybe less parts damage from biting or pliers. LEGO is not all that durable. I find lots of ABS dust on my GBC modules after running them all weekend. Plus PF motors also burning out.
  5. I have a couple of LEGO sets left assembled for the last 35 years. They are still holding together. Some pieces lost some clutch power but not loose enough to fall apart.
  6. Welcome aboard, Marty.
  7. Welcome to Eurobricks. Nice air conditioner.
  8. I have a PAB cup of 1x4 reddish brown tiles. So far only one cracked while removing from a base plate. I have a quite a few old ball joints cracked too. There is stilll enough grip to hold the ball in place if there isn't too much weight on it. Over the years, I had various 1x1 bricks cracked. Plastics can be weakened by heat, stress from the molding process, chemical attacks, etc. I don't find LEGO cracking all that disasterous compared to when the plastic cooling flange on my car engine cracked and leaked coolant...
  9. May: White Skull (2A) 25 troop July: White Skull (2A) 25 troop
  10. I used old AA batteries to counterweight my Friends BWE GBC MOC. I needed my coins to pay LEGO. It looks like you're going to need quite a few large value coins to realize your creation in physical LEGO.
  11. Welcome aboard. Nice job on the First Order color scheme. With the power car in the middle, it has that Stadler GTW railcar feel to it.
  12. SLCC could contract LEGO make some exclusive memorabilia for the event attendees. No idea how much LEGO charges for that kind work. Other organizations like airlines have had special sets made in the past.
  13. Department stores Jordan Marsh and Filenes. They had big LEGO displays around holidays. Maybe 4 or 5 when I asked for a tow truck set.
  14. Neat idea. I think it would be nice if they can make outdoor tracks in the LEGO track gauge of 37.5mm.
  15. Welcome Rick. Good luck in the TC10.
  16. Welcome aboard, Amtrak. Exciting times for Amtrak--new high speed trains for NEC and locomotives for state regional trains operated by Amtrak.
  17. Not really a fanatic. I dabbled with Frozen in an edit photo game we had here. I am more into Friends GBCs. Do you have pictures or videos of your Frozen builds?
  18. How you spend your money is your own business. If they are inexpensive enough, they could be used for a garden railway and replace cheaply when the outdoor environment destroys them in a few years. It would easier than hand laying rail to L-gauge 38mm.
  19. Would you have pictures showing the two together?
  20. Or the Return of the Death Star. Just in time for Christmas presents.
  21. Congratulations! That's awesome. You may not have to give up MOCing. One of my LUG members has a new baby and he stays up late taking care of the baby while his wife sleeps. If baby sleeps, then he'll MOC. Every now and then we'll get pings in our LUG's group chat at 2AM asking if anyone has this part in light bley or that.
  22. You can talk about clone stuff is over in the Community forum. Usually it is frown upon in the specific themes forums...
  23. Difference between a Lucas and a Disney license?
  24. Nice work. It is hard to pick 3. You could rotate the pictures in and out on a regular schedule.
