  1. After many darts misses, the darts have finally hit the following two islands: Island #: 2 Nickname: The Hilt and the Blade Island #: 12 Nickname: The Crag Those are the Sea Rats picks. Thank you for your patience.
  2. I think they had this in an annual report a few years ago. Guideline for weapons and conflict in LEGO experiences A large number of LEGO minifigures use weapons, and are – assumedly – regularly being charged by each others’ weapons as part of children’s role play. In the LEGO Group, we acknowledge that conflict in play is especially prevalent among 4-9-year-old boys. An inner drive and a need to experiment with their own aggressive feelings in order to learn about other people’s aggressions exist in most children. This in turn enables them to handle and recognize conflict in non-play scenarios. As such, the LEGO Group sees conflict play as perfectly acceptable, and an integral part of children’s development. We also acknowledge children’s well-proven ability to tell play from reality. however, to make sure to maintain the right balance between play and conflict, we have adhered to a set of unwritten rules for several years. In 2010, we have formalized these rules in a guideline for the use of conflict and weapons in LEGO products. The basic aim is to avoid realistic weapons and military equipment that children may recognize from hot spots around the world and to refrain from showing violent or frightening situations when communicating about LEGO products. At the same time, the purpose is for the LEGO brand not to be associated with issues that glorify conflicts and unethical or harmful behavior. Nothing to say you can't build and arm your own army with more realistic weapons from 3rd party arms dealers.
  3. Maybe a fort too for protection. What goes around, comes around.
  4. The loader is good since it comes one of each type of PF motors (except the PF train motor). You can experiment with them and get a feel of what each one does. You can always sell off or give away the IR receiver and remote when you no longer want them.
  5. Cool. He can now afford to renovate his house and fix those red patches on the walls and the discolored white 1x4. Thanks for the story and builds series. It was good entertainment.
  6. Thank you very much.
  7. -Compact point and shoot camera or cellphone -Windows Moviemaker -Whatever light is present It depends on what kind of video production you're trying to make (and your budget and time available). Is it a professional video shoot or a family home movie? Story boarding can help you plan out your shots and editing later on. If you post on YouTube, YouTube have royalty-free music and audio that you can use and still be able to monetize your video without hassle from their audio police. You can also hire voice actors for voicing your video. If you have a friend with a good voice and can read a script, you can try to bribe him or her with beer. Yup, you can copy and paste the share link from YouTube directly in your post. Let's see if it works... Hey, it does. No need to add those media BB code tags any more.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks, lestyn. Good luck with your project.
  9. We'll have one. It's just Phredit was first to launch.
  10. Congrats to those whose votes were correct.
  11. The purple windows came out later than the 4033 windows during the time of the Harry Potter theme. I think they were made with a different injection mold.
  12. It is documented on the LEGO Ideas website in the acceptable content guidelines. If you get to do a build for LEGO marketing, it is in the terms and conditions of the agreement you have to sign. You are right. It doesn't matter what we think. This topic comes up on a regular basis over the years on Eurobricks. LEGO is still sticking to their guns on no modern warfare and weapons policy and company values.
  13. I am a bit confused. The Ska's earlier results for Great Scott was "captured Dear John, 3F" Did something change with this release version? Did I capture a Dear John 3F or did a Dear John 3A capture me now?
  14. That doesn't sound good. What type of power functions? I am planning to order some PF train motors and battery boxes for next year's LUG events MOCs.
  15. Cool Korean Turtle ship.
  16. Back when I could see the tiny letters clearly, I would line up the LEGO on the studs so that they point in a similar direction. Now my eyes nO See D.
  17. Depending on the country the helmet may also have to meet national safety standards and passed standardized testing.
  18. There is an icon that looks like a + with a person's head to invite other people to the PM. There is limit to how many people that can be invited based on your rank. For BoBS faction PM, you may need a Regulator or Moderator to invite more than your limit.
  19. Welcome aboard, Cristiano. Your inglese is fine.
  20. I have the 4033 version in blue from my old 7710 Push Train set. It doesn't appear to have the injection point circle.
  21. You can push the motorized CITY trains. The motor will add some resistance so extra force is required compared to like pushing the 7710 Push Train. With the train motor it will stop rolling as soon as you stop pushing. You can replace the motor with a bogie made from regular LEGO train wheels if you want more free rolling.
