  1. In theory the AAA and AA boxes should have the same power its just the AAA wont last as long, depends on the circuitry inside them I suppose, I have asked around in the past but no one seems to know for sure, your trike could get up a good speed with the low weight so its a shame one AAA box cant power it all.
  2. I tried the AAA battery box on a 41999 that has a extra set of lights, everything seemed the same as with the AA box, that set has a V2 receiver though and I never tested it for very long.
  3. The experts say helicopter flight is out of the question with lego so I will go with some sort of powered glider type of car thing? :D
  4. Each back wheel is powered seperately, thats something I wanted to do on my ATC moc but never had room to fit it in, neat bike you have there.
  5. Done, also added 'parts you need' pages 1-4, instructions are tougher than you think :D
  6. Some simple instructions. 1 http://www.brickshel.../atc_insr_1.jpg 2 http://www.brickshel.../atc_insr_2.jpg 3 http://www.brickshel.../atc_insr_3.jpg 4 http://www.brickshel.../atc_insr_4.jpg 5 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/HondaATC/atc_insr_5.jpg
  7. Hope this happens, where are the rumours?
  8. Very neat indeed, almost full proportional control as well, the 9398/41999 really need this in my opinion.
  9. I'll look into getting one on payday, the odds of making a decent robot rider out of the parts left is slim. @JGW3000, its pretty tough, in a front collision the wheel connects with the steering servo so there is minimal strain on the forks, the battery box tends to come off every other crash, no biggie. The 41999 does not have all the parts needed its close though ... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/HondaATC/missing.jpg
  10. Those robots are cool, I'll try and make one and try to link the arms to the handlebars, maybe also peddling would look really funny. :D
  11. The newish AAA battery boxes and 12 AAA eneloop batteries (6 for each box) is a lot cheaper than the 8878 but will be awkward to charge and wont last a long time with 4 xl motors, also I think the 8878 has a bit more power.
  12. I'm 40+ and the only sets I'm interested in are full rc as I gave up pushing cars around on the floor a very long time ago, 8043, 9398, 41999 are the only reasons I buy lego, the new stuff this year seems a bit backwards to me.
  13. Barbie driving a ATC might as well be headless because they tip pretty easily :P Final vid, everything is done, watch out for the sticky tape mod :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4g07mUDDlU
  14. Need two battery boxes to power 4 XL motors and servo?
  15. Her Vespa has dodgy steering and wont stay up because it has no engine, she needs to trade for my ATC which stays upright but not for very long :D
  16. Thx, finally got the steering to go straight and pretty much finished it off, LDD link is on first post and below, will do a video soon. If you have set 9398 (Rock Crawler) then you can build this. LDD http://www.brickshel...C/honda_atc.lxf
  17. @aol000xw, that bike is cool :) I think I found our guy in Germany testing his new contraption :D
  18. Completely redone the steering but due to the way the gears are the steering is offset 5 degrees, added some bodywork.
  19. Back in the early 80's these things were all all the rage in my school playground, the teachers liked them because they were quiet, lol... My friend who had a lot of lego pushed a axel into the blades and attached it to a 3v lego motor (I think) and ran 12v though it with a transformer, it had some ground effect but never came close to flying.
  20. My bike has 2 L motors bolted together, if you combine that with a AAA/Lipo battery box it should go some :)
  21. I managed to get lego to fly with just one modification .. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/HondaATC/fly.jpg
  22. I found no indications they are fake, I added more stuff since you quoted, basically I find the photos to be genuine, for it to work that motor has to be custom job I think?
  23. Sherlock is back on UK TV (yesterday) and I love a good mystery. I lowered the brightness on both images to look for signs of airbrushing but the images seem to be clean, even messed about with exposure and nothing, if they are fake its a pro job. Images are 601x800, thats suggests they have been cropped and possibly altered, nothing concrete though. If that motor spins fast enough I suppose it could fly?
  24. Also is there a way to list shops that have all that is in your wanted list?
  25. Thx guys, the mechanics are done, heavy collisions might knock the steering out of alignment I doubt it though because the shocks are flexible enough to absorb impacts. Body work next, this might be hard because parts will get more and more limited. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/HondaATC/honda_atc.lxf
