Jorrith replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looking great Jaapxaap! @TUB32: Im all for it! Nocty could use some fresh new races and areas. Also working on a moc, but no where near complete... its a full 48x48 baseplate. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Jorrith replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'd recon they are not undead, but carrying a disease. Been toying around with the idea of having werewolf minions for my sigfig, but that would be too much of a underworld cliche. -
How did i miss this one? Love this build, palisade wall looks great, the tree looks great, nice rockwork and a nice shed to boot!

That just looks awesome! I agree with beartrapper, it looks simple, but it has quite alot of details, like the drunk guy and his spilled drink on the floor. Excellent work!

Indeed, but there's also alot of other things going on that makes this build very interesting.

Looks great! And thanks mccoyed, i was just about to ask where those spherical lego pieces came from.

Well, in all honesty, i wanted to do the border of the carpet in red/gold (nocturnus) colored wedges at first, but i didnt have enough of them. Also i thought about making the carpet shorter, so it would end before the throne, but that didn't look right to me. So i looked for what colors i did have in sufficient numbers and that would either be a combination of: black, white, dark green, light bluish grey or dark bluish grey. In retrospect, i think the white/dark green was much better, with red and gold the nocturnus colors would be too overly present in the moc. (hope i wrote that correctly)

Thank you all for those awesome comments! Now it's time to get the other stages up, but i'm not sure when... I was working on two other mocs that need some bricklinking, so i decided to do phase 1 of warlords just for kicks.

That's a nice little build! If you are short on slopes, you could buy some on bricklink to expand your collection... I have done so too, and recently i also added old dark grey slopes. Those mixed with the dark blueish grey give a nice rock-like effect.

Age of Mitgardia - Archery Phase 2 - An Unexpected Tutor
Jorrith replied to mccoyed's topic in Guilds of Historica
Neat continuation of phase 1, Axes are not what you would think of with an archery at first, but it works great!- 22 replies

I think they came from King's Castle (70404) but you can also get them from Castle Dragons Accessory Set (850889) (i have both)

Long ago, in an age nearly forgotten by present age dwellers, there lived a warlord in nocturnus, one of many. He was called.... Lord Lucius Mortis, my sig vig for some time, and the time has come to reveal the history about this persona. To some, he is the cruel bloodthirsty vampire that lives in his castle, to others he is the warlord that strikes his enemy in the darkness of the night, when they least expect it. And to a few, he is both. Lord mortis is one of the people of the night, so it makes good sence to use that to an advantage. When he is not fighting a war somewhere, Lord Mortis likes to relax in his castle, enjoying the riches gained from his conquests. Next to his lush and extravagant trone, stands his battle armour, for all to see that visit him. Lord Mortis has it on display here on purpose, so that anyone who wants to oppose him can see what he will look like on the battlefield. This vampire hides from daylight, not from his enemy. In front of him stand the vampyr, his most elite guards that are 100% vampire, but due to selective breeding they are unable to hide their vampire form. In return they gained impressive strength, and the ability to fly, if their armour permits using their wings. Also Lord Mortis has a fine taste in women, spoils of war and thus slaves, offcourse. Other spoils of war are guarded upstairs by shadowmere guard zombies. Not as intelligent as vampyr, but they follow orders to the letter and are easier to lead in large numbers. Total view.... Empty base: Well i hope you enjoyed my entry... The pictures could be better, i know! It was the best i could do with a 12yr old digital compact camera... It was fun building the carpet and throne, also the size was a challenge. In the end i do like the result, i hope you will enjoy, C&C welcome!

Yep, i have two remotes connected to eachother to control up to 4 trains simultaniously, but even that becomes a bit chaotic controlling all four. But two trains are no problem at all on one remote.

Jaw dropping.... Very impressive indeed!

If that's your first moc, then i look forward to see your future mocs! It allready has some interesting building techniques, and lots of detail, very promising!

Mount up! - The hominacanth (also known as a "scutter")
Jorrith replied to Mike S's topic in Guilds of Historica
That is one bad-assed scorpion-ish mount! Instead of scissors blades! Really like it, it has a nice twist to it. -
Turntable for your train layout ? Need it - I do....
Jorrith replied to Henrik Ludvigsen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Supported! However i doubt that TLG will release this as a set... -
I'm pretty sure that engaging a bison with the intent of headshooting it with an arrow, will turn out pretty ugly for the shooter. Arrows from a bow have less penetrating force than bolts fired from a crossbow, or bullets fired from a firearm.

Two thumbs up for this thread! -
Nah, bisons are pretty tough! Nice mount, story too! Love it!

Took me a while to reply, since i could not find the words to utter my amazement of your building skills... And i still can't but i just had to say it's freaking awesome for a first GoH build!
