Happens to me from time to time... Sometimes you just kind of force yourself to build stuff... It also depends on the weather, etc...days now are so short and sleepy.

Built the left arm for my Exo suit. Right one will follow soon after dinner.

Lego 8881 PF battery box LED
Zerobricks replied to UASMV's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Like they say, there is a first... I had a bad pneumatic pump once and some bad tubing that split apart when I popped it to the valve (it was from 8110 unimog). A common defect with motors is that the cable tends to lose contact especially if you pull the motor by the cable... So watch out for that. -

MEC Category A: The Black Rider Chase

Nice play features! Too bad the water looks a bit small, any way to increase it? -
So I i get this its like that.. You tell the second receiver in which way to send the current and when the train gets to the 12V rail the signal is reuted to the motor which switches the switch. Thats brilliant! And because the receiver remembers the direction you sent you can set up the switching direction way ahead of the switch!

Looks a lot like the real thing with exception of the white roof. Why did you use two receivers? Are you using 2 motors?

Wow, that looks genuinely spooky. I see you used LEDs to a good cause. Love the ground technique and the wall.
-
Its really cute Did you also make that loco?

Try to lower graphical settings to low as possible, that might help you a bit... -
The fact you used Hero factory parts for the monster really makes the model interesting. All that neon transparent orange really makes him look menicing. Nicely done.

What a great idea! It looks really futuristic, one of the best entries so far. -
How did you do the round gates? You used flexible bar? Anyway looks georgeus, love all the green and wood.

Nice to see the roles reversed so the truck drives the train Looks really good, maybe it would be smoother with some steering on the trailer?

9398, 42030 or 42009?
Zerobricks replied to Fish777's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
They are all excelent choices. So you already own a 42000. It kind of depends what you want to do first. 9398 is great for out-of-a box crawler. If you want lots of gears and functional bits but no so much of motors, etc choose 42009. You also get 10 wheels which are great to make your own trucks and trailers, etc... 42030 has the biggest assortment of power functions parts, but not so many gears as 42009. You can find lots of model videos on youtube. I'd suggest you either 42009 or 9398 so you get the PF receivers and remotes which will allow you to make your model RC. The first one to retire should be 9398 because its the oldest, so I'd go for that first? EDIT: And here's the review of the 42030: -
[WIP] Working Exo Suit
Zerobricks replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
*note to myself: When recording the finished version make a wiggle wiggle blooper* Anyway all to do is the arms and to cover it up. Should be done somewhere next week. -
Looks quite neat! Do you have any additional pictures so we can see more details?

I watched this movie not a month ago! You did an excellent work and you got yourself a supporter.

It may be tricky, but try moving the diff a stud closer to the beam, so there is no room for the axle to bend and slip.

Greetings! I see you used a non-electrical track. How smooth is it? Any problem with trains like Emerald night?
