Having never been to Legoland Denmark, I cannot comment, but I have very similar feelings to 'Astra' regaridng Legoland Windsor, I used to love that place, and this is the first year I've not renewed my annual pass. After last season I felt undewelmed, I used to enjoy popping there for an afternoon, but with all the stealth charges, e.g. 'parking' I just don't have the love for the place anymore, and I'm sure it's because of the commercial aspect of Merlin, since they took over, there has been minimial investment in miniland, half the moving parts no longer move. The last big change was when they revamped London in Miniland in 2008/9 In the good old days when Lego ran the show, kids used to get polybag lego sets as toys with the kids meals, now all they get is a cheap Chinese plastic medal or puzzle. It's not the same. I think a family of 4 would expect to pay £200 - £250 for a full day out at Legoland Windsor now which I think is a lot. However, there is another side to this which I think a lot of us forget. If it were not for Merlin's commercial experience in running theme parks, I somehow doubt that any of the Legoland parks would actually still be open today.

It's here, delivered on a Satuday! Well impressed with the service, now for the grand opening of that lovely box

Are they going to track where the exclusive crawlers are around the world like they have with the Mr Gold minifig? Would be interesting to see if all 20'000 really have sold out in under 24 hours

3 for 2 on Lego sets this weekend at ARGOS - (Until Tuesday)

I just rang Lego Direct as I'd received no order confirmation, but the man said all is good, plus I get a free hot dog cart :-) Obviously their order confirmation system struggled last night.

If anyone follows trains as well as Technic, you'll remember the limited editon Santa Fe train from early 2000's, they released 10'000 limited edition with certificate and printed number tile, afterwards they put it on general release wihtout the limited edition as the demand was high.

Who knows, my account history shows it used my 600 VIP points, against an order number, but it does not say what goods were on the order. Will have to wait an see, I've noticed I don't always receive Lego order confirmations?

I'm suspicious this 1st August release date may just be USA online, I bet some lazy European Lego webshop guru thought, I'll just do that job tomorrow, there is no rush....... Maybe they won't load it onto Shop at home Europe until 2nd August after the US launch? P.S. Anyone know if shop at home are offering a freebie when you spend a certain amount in August?

Just the 1 for me, and I'm sure I'll kick myself in years to come for not buying 2 and putting 1 aside, but I also have this issue where I cannot bring myself to sell my Lego sets. Only buy more :-)

still no sign of a European page for the crawler on shop at home? Maybe it's not 1st August for us?

paul_delahaye replied to Fugazi's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I only really follow the Town, Train, Technic and General pages on Eurobricks, and I definitely felt the train pages were struggling a bit this year, not sure why by hopefully a new mod will bring some valuable additions to the forum, welcome- 29 replies

First set 60026 Town Centre, I notice this part is a new mold http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3957b basically the aerial has a flat top now instead of a rounded top http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3957

Missing/damaged parts or minifigures in new sets
paul_delahaye replied to Tariq j's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Seriously, don't waste your time, just contact Lego direct, you can always send them a picture, they need this kind of feedback otherwise they will continue to pack sets with large pieces that can be damaged in the same way. There is no doubt they will just replace this piece, you can then keep the bent piece (and attempt to straighten it without worry about over stressing the plastic. -
I think you are a little optimistic that Lego will be strong enough to "picks up the 20ft container that you see on the docks?" I'd suggest starting small and work up to the 40ft Actually one of the best places to start your project might be to purchase the new Technic 42009 Crane, the B Model is a container handler, container and truck, you could MOC it from this

I hate to say it, but it's the risk of buying from Auction or Bricklink. Unfortunately what one person calls complete and what I call complete can sometimes vary. I recently received from a reputable UK bricklink seller two 1x6 plates which turned out to be a clone brand. Unless you paid seriously top dollar for the set, I think you might be better spending your time bricklinking the missing items. When you complete it though, it's a great set. I only made the helicopter so far. But the Dinosaur looks great.

A great roller door solution, something I've always thought about with the Lego horizontal beams is that it limits the maximum height of the roller door, this is a great alternative

German LEGO Brand Catalogue 2013
paul_delahaye replied to GRogall's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Randomly whilst in Kos on holiday last week I picked up this catalogue in Greek. I love the displays lego create in the backgrounds to help sell their products. Especially the city scenes.- 57 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
paul_delahaye replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I feared the Mr Gold thing from Series 10 was going to be a regular feature! I guess not. -
Very annoyed, want the tow truck, Lego Store stratford says they have them in stock out the back but won't sell me one until the 27th August, something to do with the launch of the new Argos catalogue, so silly, Lego now loose my £80 sale to Argos on the 27th as I'm not travelling back to a brand store any time soon. They make 50 - 60% less money from my sale, it does annoy me as I'd far rather support Lego directly than through a third party.

Confirmed, my other half has just picked up one from the Stratford, UK store, but shop at home still says the 1st August.
