  1. Or you could use a power functions rechargable Li-Ion Battery pack with the charger plugged into it,
  2. It was my local independent Toy Shop
  3. New Lego promotion hitting stores in the UK, Buy 5 Lego Minifigs, collect the stickers and redeem to get your sixth minifig for free
  4. Yes, taking something like this back to the shop you know that the person behind the counter will be thinking you took the Dinosaur out of the set, very awkward all round. Sorry to hear it was not a minor part missing.
  5. however, at this time of year, head to California for a nice bit of Winter Sun I've only ever been to Windsor park many times and I've been to the car park and up to the enterance of the California park, but it was 6:30am and my flight was leaving that day so I could not stay which was annoying. I think if your a LEgo fan, you have to go to the home of Lego at some point in your life. Paul
  6. I think I'd have liked to see better rear sttabilisers on the Tow truck, those technic panels don't look very practical?
  7. God I hope not, that Extreme Cruiser was one of the biggest anti-climaxes in the Technic line in a long time, lets hope it's not on those lines.
  8. Top job! Glad I mentioned it now! Seems several people have benefited from that post
  9. I got there at 8:20 this morning, 36 people in the queue in front of me, by 9am, I guess there was 100 behind us as well. I'd imagined they would let about 30 people at a time into the store, but instead they let all the people in at once, it was chaos! The queue to pay went out the door! Was a bit odd seeing people queuing outside the shop with goods they had to go back inside to pay for? Very amusing Paul
  10. I'm not sure by the crane, I think it's a little oversized, I know cranes are big, but I'm not sure it needed to be bigger than a 6 wide model? An like everyone has said, it should have been a great vehicles set. I think it's going to be a bigger let down when everyone realises the Bike shop is only half a bike shop, the one at the Lego expo being 2 bike shops joined together.
  11. Slightly disappointed, at first glance I thought it was a new slightly oversized road/rail excavator, the train line in 2013 seems a tad quiet, I wonder if we will get anything new this year? Despite the obvious Creator Expert TGV and the Lone Ranger train.
  12. I'm now convinced there is a new set coming which uses this piece but in green: 2 Toy Fairs, 2 different models using the part........
  13. Yes, this is very playable, after the slowness of the A model
  14. That is a little bug with Bricklink which really annoys me, you manually have to delete an item from your wanted list even when you've purchased from a shop via the wanted list. There should be a check box when you add the min levels to your cart that says "remove from my wanted list" Paul
  15. Nice train, not 100% convinced about the gatling gun, but I'm sure it can be unloaded!
  16. Available from 14th February for VIP members Double VIP points 25th March to 8th April Apologies, now read the previous 2 pages of posts, this has been covered.
  17. I bought these from this ebay seller in the netherlands, http://www.ebay.co.u...=item20cab03a3a he also has another picture on this link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-Train-Motor-Grey-Rubber-Rims-54x-4-5v-or-12v-12-volt-Trains-/140839500346?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item20cab03a3a The widths of the rims were not consistent, but I've been able to re-equip all my old trains, the colour is about right, texture feels fine Paul
  18. Nice surprise at home tonight, a Valentines Day Card (Early) from Lego, I'm not sure if every VIP card owner gets one of these, or they have just looked at my spending habits and are basically saying I am spending too much on Lego and they love me for it! Part Number of the mini-fig keyring is 4644591, it also has another code saying 853303 Also mentions, early access to the Palace Cinema, 14th - 28th Feb, Free starwars gift 1st March - 31st March, free delivery 27th March t0 13th March, Double VIP points 25th March - 8th April
  19. I've put a decent sized order into Lego Europe in the last couple of weeks by set number, hopefully they expand this service and let you pay by card online, unfortunately one of the parts I needed was out of production, even though it said it was available. I'm just waiting for the parts to arrive. One interesting thing I noted, some parts were available on Lego pick a brick online cheaper and some were cheaper when you add parts to the basket based on set number. It certainly expands the possibilities, maybe it will head to the USA shortly?
  20. The video from the toy show makes the upper part of the crane look like it is straining the turntable a tad, we probably could have done with a more industrial version
  21. I'm a little disappointed with the Octan race car transporter, the tractor is fine, the race car is fine, but the trailer.......It's now reached 8 wide.......It has to be to get the car in, but this is now wider than a Lego train....... Also it lacks any detail under the trailer, there is not even a set of legs, or whatever they are called for the trailer to stand when not being towed. it's a little lacking in my opinion. Paul
  22. 23. 007 - 3 13. Emma - 1 27. Nieks - 1
  23. Anyone come up with a solution of why the spelling of Palace is PaLaCE instead of PALACE You would think a Capital A would be easier to make? It has to be a simple oversight? She mentioned 2 designers worked on the set in the video, maybe the in-turn made the small letter "a"?
  24. My personal favourite of the readers comments! I think a better comparison would be between the Jabba's Palace Lego set and the Jabba's Palace film set used in Return of the Jedi. The two are remarkably similar - it's as if the set was based off the scene in the film that is now 30 years old. The only offensive thing about the set is its price - £130 for 717 pieces - that's 16p a piece! EXTORTIONATE. But a great set. - Dave, Lancs, 23/1/2013 22:42 Paul
