  1. It looks like I'm the only one here who doesn't like this series. To be honest, the only things I like here are the new card and pizza tiles. I probably won't buy any of these.
  2. This is just speculation, but I don't think they'll be available anywhere except online or maybe a very small handful of stores.
  3. Nothing has really happened yet. They haven't even started testing the molds yet. I think they're refurbishing them right now. I doubt TLG will ever mention this project, but if they do, I'm sure it won't be until an official product is announced. Yeah, they were actually marketed to architects.
  4. Yeah, "The Brick Bounty" has to be the worst pirate ship name I've ever heard. I hope they catch onto the fact that no one likes that name and change it before they print the packaging.
  5. I really like the way Eurobricks is, but I do have two constructive criticisms. First, I would like to see more news on the front page. I miss a lot of stuff because I don't have time to read every thread 24/7. Secondly, I think the mods sometimes lock threads unnecessarily. "I see nothing left to discuss here" is not a valid reason to close a thread in my opinion. It's frustrating when I have something helpful to add, but a mod had taken the liberty to end a (civil) discussion prematurely. Other than that, I say thank you and keep up the good work! I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, but I understand SMC's concern. I've often sometimes seen threads locked at the whim of a particular moderator's sentiment. If I were to have any say in the matter, I would ask that moderators not lock any threads unless the purpose of the original post was violating the rules.
  6. They were originally developed because Gottfried Christiansen was unable to make the building he wanted due to the fact that Lego bricks aren't a 1x1 ratio. Modulex bricks are based on the standard of a 2x2 brick being a perfect cube. (I've never understood why Lego bricks weren't made this way to begin with.)
  7. I asked them why on their Facebook page. I'm looking forward to hearing back from them. https://www.facebook.com/modulexbricks/timeline
  8. Why, I have no idea. But here it is! https://mobile.twitter.com/ModulexBricks Photos! https://twitter.com/ModulexBricks/status/504264049903669248?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=fb&utm_campaign=ModulexBricks&utm_content=504264049903669248
  9. I really love this because the new Juniors theme is just as awesome as the regular theme (just larger parts). We might even see some pirate minifigures exclusive to those Juniors sets. They don't directly convert the prices. For whatever reason, every country outside the US is charged quite a bit extra (often about 50% more than the US prices).
  10. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! SHELL IS EVIL!! Just kidding. I wish we could get these in the US.
  11. Those were the days. I love how the sand in the old Pirates sets was yellow. I wish they would go back to the yellow sand in the new sets (just for Pirates).
  12. They're in high demand. People like to buy a lot of them.
  13. The photos are gone.
  14. I think the banner has a nice balance of gender type stuff and the colors look nice. I don't wear pink, build pink creations, or anything like that, but I do appreciate colorful flowers.
  15. I live near Carmel, IN. Carmel has more roundabouts than any other city in the US (over 60 of them). I love them. They're a lot more efficient than stop signs. It's funny because Kokomo, IN is known as "stoplight city." It takes about 15 minutes to drive two miles down 931. I think at one point, Kokomo had more stoplights per square mile than any other state in the US, but they've recently replaced most of them with stop signs (I still can't decide which is more annoying). So I enjoy driving through Carmel a lot more than driving through Kokomo (the latter of which I have to do daily, unfortunately). Kokomo does have one roundabout, but it's in a really random location by a park, and the area gets very little traffic.
  16. We've already gotten a lot of elves with LotR and I think they would be out of place with the forestmen. I'd rather see the forestmen with the wolfpack and dragon nights with the classic dragons (in anew color, like dark green).
  17. Fort Legoredo is the set I would never want to sell. Even if I get rid of the rest of my collection, I will always keep at least one Fort Legoredo.
  18. Instead of an absolute exclusive, I think a good compromise would be "exclusive for a certain period." For example, they could promise not to release the minifigure to the general public for a minimum of two years or whatever - just as long as they make this clear from the beginning.
  19. One of my friends has the NXT brick in both black and chrome gold. The chrome gold one has probably never been sold before. I have no idea how much it would be worth. Edit: Oops! I should have read the post before responding. My most valuable parts are the brown log 1x2s, 1x4s, and palisades. I use a lot of those.
  20. You're right! You can still download this screensaver here -> http://www.ultimatesavers.com/index.asp?ID=253 Last night, I installed it in a virtual machine and recorded it with Quicktime. It's from a screensaver, and the entire file is about 1MB. I think it's pretty impressive for the file size. That's incredibly stupid. I can't believe that at some point, someone actually thought it would be a good idea to create that law.
  21. I like the colors, but they're arranged very orderly. I think they need to he offset in rand ways.
  22. Who remembers this? The first person able to say where this is from wins my respect.
  23. You're probably going to ruin the printing.
