  1. A Creator pirate ship is coming this year. No other info yet.
  2. Yeah, the Harry Potter horse. I'd like to buy a bunch of them for my cavalry. I've almost given up hope now that they'll show up. I didn't realize they were on PAB in 2019. I guess I missed out. You might as well buy them from Bricklink at these prices. The smaller one is almost $9. It's a lot cheaper on Bricklink.
  3. Definitely the Troubadour for me. It's a great minifigure in its own right, but it's also great because it gave us a new color of plume (which appeared on PAB, and now I have hundreds!) and a blue forestmen hat so we can finally have a classic forestman in blue using Majisto's torso.
  4. Is there any news on the August parts? I've been waiting over a year for the white horse to appear. It was introduced in a June set last year and it's being discontinued this year. We're also still waiting on the skirt from the Medieval Town Square.
  5. I just got a USPS email saying my October PAB order is finally being delivered on Saturday. 110 days. That's absolutely insane. I'm still waiting on more parts I ordered for Brickworld a few days later. I'm not going to have much time to build my display before the show.
  6. Where did you see the new BAM parts?
  7. They seem to be hinting at a bright light blue (or maybe just blue?) classic space minifigure 80116, as reported by New Elementary.
  8. Great find! That's in line with the hint in the Renegade instructions that a Futuron set is coming.
  9. An exclusive Blacktron minifigure is coming soon in a new DK book: https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-minifigure-a-visual-history-updated-and-expanded-coming-september/
  10. I forgot to mention - has anyone else had an issue with the space camera being molded wrong? I saw someone mention it in the comments on Jang's review. It has an extra section of plastic that prevents the 1x1 round plates from attaching. The element ID is 436026.
  11. Jang showed that the top of the alt build makes a really nice spaceship. I think it would have been a great standalone set. I'm not super into the walker itself, but this smaller ship really makes me want to go buy another copy of the set. There's one thing about the set that does bug me. The gun at the nose of the ship is way off center. It drives me nuts when I pay attention to it.
  12. Wow. There's not much discussion about this set. It doesn't even have its own thread. Is it really that unpopular? Something else I've been meaning to point out that I think is notable is that it may be the first time they've acknowledged that the Blacktron is bad guys and the camera is actually a laser gun. We all knew it before, but they came right out and said it this time.
  13. The Galaxy Explorer mentioned Blacktron. The Lion Knight's Castle mentioned Wolfpack. The Medieval Town Square mentioned Fright Knights. Now the Renegade is mentioning Futuron. It seems pretty blatant to me.
  14. The Renegade instructions hint that a Futuron set is coming!
  15. I think the new colors are just a way to string this out as long as possible. If they just dropped all of the original colors at once, people would lose interest.
  16. There's no chance they'll stop doing classic space before they release black and blue minifigures.
  17. I picked up some of the new swords today. I also thought they were pearl gold when I saw the images. Medium nougat is an interesting color. It's far different from any sword they've ever made. I'm not sure this mold is the best shape for a training sword, but it's a welcome addition nonetheless.
  18. I picked mine up this morning. The line was insane! I didn't realize this was such a big release day. It was the first time I've ever gone for release day. We got there right at 10am when they opened, and we waited an hour to get into the store. The line was as long when we left as it was when we got there. I was surprised by how small the box is. It's about 2/3 the size of the Galaxy Explorer and about half as heavy I'd guess, which is surprising given their similar part counts. The box is beautiful. I'm not upset about the size at all. I like more reasonably sized sets myself. I know some people wish they'd used the vintage packaging, but I like the modern look on this one. It's not as boring as typical Icons boxes. The blue grid pattern is a nice touch to add contrast with the black ship, and the Blacktron logo looks fantastic on the front.
  19. I forgot the Renegade had the hoses also. They do still make those hoses, but they're currently only available in black. The current mold is 73590c03a on Bricklink. I think the only difference is that the ends don't come off, and the Blacktron sets probably had the tabs also.
  20. I think the yellow is perfect. The original theme didn't have enough color in my opinion. It's amazing what just a little bit of yellow can do. It really makes it pop.
  21. It will be interesting to see the New Elementary article on this. That black wedge hasn't appeared since the Armada Flagship. (The green window frame from that set was also recently rereleased.) My only disappointment with this set is that I was really hoping for them to bring back trans yellow hoses and printed slopes. My hope for the hoses obviously dwindled when I saw it was going to be the Renegade. But it would have been nice to have a decorated slope, especially if it was the same as the crappy sticker in the last Blacktron set. But the set itself is otherwise better than I was hoping for. I'm very glad this isn't yet another shelf warmer.
  22. I'm not ignoring it. I just don't see why the number of studs would be off putting. It's a matter of preference, of course, but my personal preference is to not even consider stud placement at all when building. Let the studs fall where they will. I suppose there would be some exceptions even for me. The Lightyear ship would look really weird if those rounded engines were covered in studs facing random directions. But for me, that's the exception. Studs on top are always welcome to me.
  23. I don't get the complaint about visible studs. This is Lego. There's supposed to be studs.
  24. Does anyone else think this is better than the Galaxy Explorer?
  25. I like this set a lot better than the Galaxy Explorer. I was never happy with that one because it was so fragile it couldn't really be played with and my kids broke it every time they touched it. The designer said he purposefully designed this one for families. It's much more playable and durable. I didn't expect this set to be so good. I'm excited! I'm going to build it with my son.
