Nice!... a quick test will bring this raw render in blender! A perfect starting point! Thanks a lot. -

I tried LeoCAD to export some test *.ldr files. It exports the wavefront *.obj format ( vertices and plane informations ) along with an *.mtl file ( color information ). But I didn't checked the format itself so far. -

Hi just tested it - Perfect! This is really a feature a lot designers will like very very much I think! I will do more testing on the weekend. Thanks a lot for this fast implementation. Needless to say that a corresponding material lib would be perfect, too. -

Yes, I understand. I would make it a donation feature if you are willing to handle different user levels. Sign me in for a beta tester for this feature! Because this will help the workflow from LDD to a Blender Render a lot! Thnx. -
[Software] MecaBricks - Online Design Tool

@Scrubs: congrats on creating this nice online creator. I just need a feature to export the model as .stl or .blend file to be able to render it offline and to have a backup of my own "digital work". It is possible to add this feature or do you want to run it as an sandbox solution only? Or maybe I just didn't found the export dialog? Thanks. -
There was to much noise in the hall so the EV3 inside the housing could not been heared on 100% loudness.

One MOC a year....yes that could be improved I've finished my MOC for Skaerbaek, DK Fanweekend 2014 this year: HAL 9000 computer from the motion picture 2001 - A Space Odysse in real size 1:1. I've added the EV3 brick to bring up some speech samples from HAL 9000 as in the movie but it was far to loud at the exhibition. So all it does right now is having a red light...which...lights red. more pictures on my page at: http://gerkens.org/lego/lego/lego_hal9000.html Hope you like it...

LEGO Fan Weekend Skaerbaek - Denmark
gerkenz replied to gerkenz's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
And again in 2014. The 10th anniversary. But it seemed that this event is the last official LEGO Fan Weekend, so hurry and be there this weekend! more info at http://www.fanweekend.dk/ -
oh no...not another LEGO related Kickstarter Project I need to spend money on... A robotic base for 40€ ( retail ) is a good price especially for a LEGO compatible one. And I allways thought that a mindstorms set is more for education and robotic enthusiasts than for kids to get startet with robotics on their own. Shure it has limited functionality but should be fun for younger builders.

Can't wait to order my most wanted set 2014 soon. Very cool design and color!

nice!

Yes...very cool set! Can't wait to build it! The part list is hard to see - does someone have a better view of the inventory?
-
Ok...I must say I'm shocked! Realy realy don't know why you have to build your castle like you build it. This castle creation covers my thoughts about my upcomming castle moc of about 99%. Everything has the right proportions, details, ideas and things. River, bridge, towers, interior... So in short: Thanks for this MOC - that's my favorite castle build of 2014.

LDD rotation issue
gerkenz replied to gerkenz's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Wow...didn't knew about the trick...thanks! But your link doesn't work for me. Do you mean one? -
I just build the very cool Police Car from 70808. But have a little issue with the rotation of the two hinges at the back. They won't turn any further but I can't see something blocking it. LXF File Police Car 70808 - the very new curved headlight holder are substituted. - the balustrade at the front is light instead of dark gray

wow - I didn't get into the movie sets but THIS black SWAT car was catching my eye. This is a perfect design! Who made it at LEGO? My fist guess is Mark Stafford. Shit - this will be my first buy in 2014....oh wait ... still 1 hour left in 2013 ... so it will be the last set bought in 2013! see ya!

suitcase works verry well. No screaming children...but some kids and adults did recognize it. The sticker was a gift. Maybe ask someone at LEGO or in a LEGO store for stickers.

I like this robot a lot! Clean design with a small amount of parts. I would remove the official LEGO logo from the picture .... because it's not official. ;-) If I find some time I will build it.... thanks for sharing.

Great - this is awesome to meet so different people again. Is there someone representing the EUROBRICKS LUG or are you all involved on your local LUGs ?
