Thanks! I'm back
-
Thanks for your nice review. Just one question about it: is this set bigger than the 7712 Supernova ? I wounder why it costs 25$ instead of 19,99$ 8-
-
Hmm not much publicity ? I'll post a news-entry on my page - maybe some more people will come to see those nice mocs *sweet*
-
I'm building an "Eldorado Fortress(6276)-like-MOC" and sure I'm building some more crusader-castles in the future... :-)
-
Most of the sets are belonging to stefan. - Stefan's Lego-Page. At this time I was collecting classic castle sets - and he collected the pirate-stuff. ;) Now he's building castle-sets, too - and I'm just starting to build pirate-related MOCS... ;) First of all - I've finished a rebuild of the "Skull Eyes Schooner" in nearly mint condition. Pictures comming soon if you wanna see them. |-/ Next will be the "Black Sees Barracuda" - and then MOCs MOCs MOCs... ;) Greetings Kai PS: please don't call me "Mr".. just Kai or gerkenz ;)

Hi, I'm very new in Pirate-MOCs but as I am sitting in front of my "Skull's Eye Schooner" I thought: The big naval battle" Have your seen our original Lego-Set-Pirates-Scene 4 years ago ? ;) If not I would be glad to read some of your comments about it in 2006 ;-)

Jep the colors are great and so are the 2 guns in the front ;)
-
very cool. I like the Nova-Craft !
-
oh wow...a whole movie with about 90 min playtime will be about 81000 pictures to make with 15p/s - that's everything but NOT easy ! :-D For a small movie like "monty python's holy grail - clip" with about 3 min. they'll spend a lot of time for it.
-
Nice - "black is beautiful" :-D The Blade is very good, but you have to do something with the small arm...some slopes will be finde to make them look much more heavy.
-
I can't find anything about it in the internet-news, who told you that these pictures shouldn't be posted ?
-
And again: I think the Supernova is the most impressive Mech in the Exo-Force theme so far. The yellow/red-combo and the hands are realy great !
-
The white Mech with 2 "rotating guns" is very well designed. Not that big - gut kind of cool. The giant Robot-Mech looks very agressiv with his "chicken-legs" and a robot on each "arm". Not my favorit design but still nice ( 2 light-bricks *sweet* ).
-
I think orange is a great color for mecha...just combine it with gray, dark gray, new gray or other gray :-D I would like to see some bigger mechs in the future like the combined modells but more stable and without the color-mix.

many thanks for your great reply :-) I thought about the circular shape before - and the Mana's I've mentioned have wide bodies. I made a video of my Manas both controlled with one IR-controller: 2 Manas turn around - divx5 avi I think 2 swivel joints ( one for each pair of tracks ) instead of 4 will do just fine. 4 swivel joints are shure very cool instead. ;-) Please, let us know what you tank looks like if it's kind of ready to show...
-
355 pieces said peeron/lugnet ;-) Here is something to discuss: the "moving"-problem: if you got a normal tank ( chain drive ) with one chain on each side and you want to "turn on the point" you'll do it in forward the one and backward the other chain. -> the center of rotation is nearly in the middle of the vehicle ( depending on the chain-lenght and position and shifting of weight...etc. ) But is the "hero tank" with 2 chains on each side able to turn ? :-| I thought about it...and tested it with 2 IR-Mana's ( some kind of tanks with 1 chain on each side ) by connecting them. And the result is that each Mana or each pair of chains ( the front pair and the back pair ) have their center of rotation in their own middle ! - So the are working against each other during turning the whole vehicle. :-( So I think the only way to turn the "hero tank" is an intelligent hinge between these pairs of chains. That problem will increase if you're having more space between the 2 pairs of chains ( longer vehicle ): ====~~~~~~==== ~|ooooooooooooo| ====~~~~~~==== ==== chain ooooo vehicle ~ "nothing just spaces" ;-) what do you think about it ?
-
on "7706_detailed_06" you can see how they are attached...looks a little loose - but isn't. infact of that "driving" this tank is impossible that's the smales problem you'll have to worry about :-D So - and here are the pictures: you'll find some more on my page at exo-force.net, although the inventory. I like the design of this giant tank so much that I'll mod it till it moves ! I've got some Bionicle Manas with IR-control .... maybe the'll fit and I'm able to drive this tank remote :)

Second impression after building: - I spend about 1h20min ( with stickers ) to buid the hero tank. - Everything look realy realy cool *y* - there are a lot of tiny technic-parts - only a few orange system parts - 2 very big technic parts *n* - the chains are not flexible enough to move by pushing the tank on a carpet or whatever *n* - the chain-wheels are realy awesome! *y* - the "little-slicer-shooting-thing" is a good idea - but if you pulling to smooth -> they won't fly - just dropping out - and if you pull to hard - some of the others stocked in this "thing" will pop out off the top. *n* - it is possible to vary the height of the tank - but the chains won't be horizontal to the ground if you do so *y* *n* So - I think it's a realy great set for collecting exo-sets...but without modification not very playable. pictures comming soon...partlist, too. :-)
-
So here is my first Picture Review - of course an Exo-Force Set *sweet* First of all - the boxpictures: First impression: - nice big stickers, new kind of bulldozer-chains with very nice wheels! more comming soon...
-
...looks nice but is terrible for the eyes :'-( Is it possible to choose a user-template here ? I couldn't finde it anywhere.
-
I would like to know the piece-count of these sets - and pictures of the box/bag please *sweet* I can't find the Donald Duck Magazine here in germany anywhere - which number or a picture will be fine ;-)
-
...like the other Mechs, too. They all will fall apart if they will be used for "war-action" :-/ That's the difference between system and technic. I you wanna play get some Bionicles :-) Mine are just for display and MOC-building...so for me it's perfect. ;-)
-
finaly my Supernova arrived in germany *sweet* ! And imho it is the best Mech of all of them... first I thought yellow is not such a god color for a mech - but with some gray bricks and the red stickers - perfect! the hands are very well designed as mentioned before and so are the arms and legs...some bigger slopes and it looks a lot more "mechi" than the others. Although the pilots cockpit has a very good design :) the 6 "wings" on the back are nice, too. *y*
-
right ! S@H would have a lot to do with shipping to other countries in combination with dealing with various setprices ( 7700 in germany-s@h: 14.99 € != 7700 in USA-s@h: 14.99 USD ) So here comes the community: If someone in the USA is willing to be the shipping-address for an USA-s@h-order of an european forumuser and would resend the parcel to him..and the other way around, that would be great. As I mentioned before, I've ordered the 7012 this way and t's on it's way to germany right now ... *sweet*

IMHO the Supernova should appear in Europe by July this year in ToysRUs-Shops ( in Denmark, too ). The release-dates of themes are varying in fact of legos marketing strategy. It's too bad that europe has to wait for some very nice sets longer than the USA. Lego just sold some parts of itself: - all LEGOLAND-Parks are now "Blackstone Capital Partners" - KOMPAN A/S was sold - some Faktories, Buildings and Planes But was not sold completely...so it's still a danish company :-)
