  1. Nice idea. Well executed!
  2. Excellent review. Will definitely help me in making a decision to buy it. Hopefully prices are confirmed soon!
  3. I placed my first order on bnp a couple of days ago. The prices were specified under each part and a basket appeared on the right hand side which also had the price of how many id added. There was no running grand total until i continued onto the next page where it also gave me the total cost and shipping price. Its worked fine for me so im puzzled why some people can't see the prices. Maybe its a currency thing. I paid in gbp. Maybe you could try a different currency and see if it appears then work out the conversion rate.
  4. My local Fenwicks store (Newcastle Upon-Tyne) has several of last years Legends of Chima sets with 50% off. I picked up a Gorilla striker for 24.99 instead of 49.99, even beating Amazons lowest discount. They even had the Lion CHI temple for only 49.99 instead of 99.99. They also had many other LOC small-medium sets with the same discount. It also came as a surprise that they had both Metalbeards ship and the Simpsons house in stock which still come under the 'exclusive' title on TLG website. I can't speak for other Fenwicks stores but the Newcastle store is the flagship store and so has a large Lego selection.
  5. Excellent work, I love your other station builds aswell. The use of boxes for the lift doors is great. I look forward to seeing more examples in the future!
  6. Nice work! I too like the skylight and the minifig style billboard very much.
  7. I really like that beaten up look. Nice one!
  8. Nice MOD. I feel the proportions of this build are much more realistic for a cinema than what the current palace cinema offers. It should give a lot more scope for a grander lobby as well!
  9. Welcome to the forum! I also live in Tyneside. Your customizations look pretty good!
  10. Nice one rriggs! The building shapes are very interesting. I like the choice of using dark tan for the pavement, I'm also looking forward to seeing the interiors! On a slightly different subject, the teddy hanging on the door reminds me very much of mine when I was a child. I don't have it anymore! :( Never throw it away!
  11. Lovely kitchenette and furniture as always from you. As usual very polished and great colour combo. Nice one!
  12. Nice job in modifying the creator house. I like that building under construction just down the road, looks a bustling hub of activity! Well done!
  13. Thanks LEGO Train 12 Volts! It's my first foray into any scenery/rockwork. Thanks alois! Maybe I should have put hobbits in it and called it a mansion I was going to make the downstairs a stud or two shorter but felt the windows and window boxes would be too close together. I've been in some 18th/19th/20th century cottages and the older they get the shorter they are. I'll pretend I meant it to be early 20th century! Thank you very much! I don't have much in way of small grey/dk grey bricks to make a interesting intricate facade, a lot of these cottages have rendering on them as their near the coast so it seemed obvious to use what I had and do a white facade. I'm glad the little touches have brought some life into it!
  14. Hello everyone! Here is my latest build. The riverbank cottage set in the country. The cottage is a mixture of several examples found all over the UK. I designed mine to be next to a river as opposed to the coast where many of this style cottage are to be found. This was just for scale purposes. I didn't want to build a beach/huge cliff beside it Anyway, I think this belongs in town as its not quite historic? a lot of these cottages were built in the late 1800's to early 1900's and are still in good condition to this day. I'll leave it up the Admins to decide if it needs moving! It was a chance for me to experiment with scenery, water and texture of which I enjoyed very much. All in all its taken a couple of months. The floors are removable for interior access, although due to the small sizes of the rooms, the furnishings are less interesting than my previous efforts. It's set sometime in the 50's just for a decorative era. Here are some pics; The rest can be found on my flickr stream here: http://www.flickr.co...656812@N04/sets Any comments or thoughts welcome!
  15. I was looking this morning to book tickets for the the show and according to the o2 website http://www.theo2.co....w-20140509.html it has been cancelled; The LEGO Show The LEGO Show The LEGO Show has been cancelled The LEGO Show Ticket demand forces LEGO Show to move from The O2 to ExCeL London The LEGO Show will be moving to ExCeL London after an insatiable demand for tickets meant organisers of the iconic event needed more exhibition space. Originally set to take place at The O2 from 9-11 May it will now take place at ExCeL London from 27-30 November. ExCel London can easily be reached from The O2 via the Emirates Air Line cable car. The huge demand for tickets and space required to accommodate the expected attendance has forced the organisers to move the show to allow more visitors the chance to experience it. Because of the change of venue we have refunded your booking to you automatically, and you should see the refund on your statement in five to seven working days. If you still wish to attend we have a special link, just for you, to purchase new tickets on, which you can find here If you need to contact us about this then feel free to give us a call on 0844 856 02 02. With the change of venue the organisers are excited to announce more LEGO fan displays, more exclusive fan content and that every ticket is now a full day ticket. Sorry to sound ignorant here but are AFOLCON and The Lego show both now moving?
  16. Hi ReflectioN There are none for the Cinema or Department store yet (If that's what you meant instead of a warehouse - I haven't made a warehouse yet ). Maybe by Xmas they will be there! But as I don't design using instructions it's up to the instructions designer if he wants to spend the time making them. Cheers
  17. What a great scene of bustling activity. The buildings are done very well, I particularly like the corner deli. Well done!
  18. This is an excellent building. I love architecture and this building in particular has great aesthetic qualities, you've done a brilliant job in capturing all the details on the fascia! As for the interior the staircase is impressively done. Congratulation on all your hard work!
  19. I'm delighted that even after a year this build still interests people. Thanks to everyone for recent comments! Thanks for the review Legodt, I found it really interesting! I'm sure this will help people on sourcing and building many-a-customer creation. I always thought about making it able to 'fit-in' with my other modulars with a technic pin and the correct pavement proportions but I did want my Metro entrance to go into the pavement a little so it was raised by a couple of bricks in height! I thought with the height and weight I'd never be able to move it so just stuck to making it as realistically sized as possible even if it didn't look like a normal sized modular. Your building of this looks so much more organized than when I created it. I work on a desk with probably no more than a 1.5m sq free space for building! It's very messy! How long did it take to build once all the bricks were sourced?
  20. Very cool! Really like the old photography look!
  21. Want this even more now that the official pics are out. Price isn't too bad for us the UK considering how many pieces.
  22. Car and figs look brilliant. I'm guessing the license plate will be printed like BTTF. What about those 2x2 curves along the side, wonder if they will be printed also. I really hope so for that price. Roll on June!
  23. Considering how much less choice there was in the 80's in colours and pieces I think you've done a great job here! The colours work well and it fits in nicely with the rest of the street. I haven't yet integrated my 80's pieces into my recent ones as my bricks are all scratched and so on. I still have some of those classic doors like the one on the front, great choice. Don't think I've ever seen that tap piece in the kitchen before. What set was that from? Also I love the spacemen! Wish mine were in such great condition!
  24. Very smartly constructed exteriors. Well done!
  25. Delighted ghostbusters will be made! Got something to look forward to later on this year.
