Nice choice of colours here. I agree that the porch looks especially nice!

Colour scheme is excellent, I would like very much to see this made. The tree on the roof is a nice touch. I like how the barmaids have angry faces!

Sounds interesting.... If it is true... I would guess we are due for another corner building after having 2 straight ones in a row. A corner would give more 'depth' than the classic straight facing buildings allowing perhaps for the screen. I'm also guessing the pricing is not to upset people like last time with the town hall when it went up significantly. It will probably be a cheaper set to manufacture as cinema's generally don't have too many windows and a lot of small rooms. Perhaps this will be more in line with the 'petshop' pricing and piece count. The fact that creator will have an 'expert' selection of sets next year suggest to me similar ideas to the 'Horizon express' with alternative building techniques such as sideways which lends itself to classic cinema detailing 'Sonicstarlights' creation being one of many great examples I have seen online. I think if we do see a modular cinema it will be more based on an American cinema as the last couple of buildings have been quite European and only on two floors. It would also be nice to see a new colour. Just my thoughts!

Hello everyone, I am visiting the US tomorrow for a couple of weeks and would like to purchase a few sets whilst I am there. I particularly like the modular series and would find another one of these a useful parts pack. I also like the creator sets and monster fighters series. I am also wondering if this is the best time to get the tower bridge as the price is good for me and it would make an excellent parts pack. My budget is between 350-450 USD. I know pretty much what to expect in terms of cost in official Lego stores but wondering if people have any suggestions, such as TRU etc which I have heard they do have good offers from time to time. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone. I wanted to a do a MOC that showed two different sides to medical treatment, one side shows surgery being performed in a gallery and the other side showing perhaps the disturbing side of treatment in the future Anyway here are some pics of the past; And some of the future; There are a few more pics here Which side do you find more scary? Comments always welcome.

Great job. I like the front archway and use of curved window pieces. The colours work really well together! But I must say the interior details are top notch and perhaps the best Ive seen yet. Best of luck in the contest!

I do very much like the structure of the building. Mixing the interior up with some brighter colours works really well for me! The interior is tasetfully considered - If that makes any sense! Great job and best of luck!

This is great, I like the way you included welfare facilities and also put details on the back aswell. Best of luck!

Of course! There is no loitering! Thanks! The daily planet was a bit of inspiration. But most of it comes from a bank in my home city built around 1901. Do you think it is a globe on top of the roof or something else? Cheers! I tend to use alot of cladding and offsetting. I guess it gives a slight texture to most of my 'streamlined' building facias. I used a fair bit of it here also. Many thanks for the blog post! I check it out most days! Thanks! I tried many colour combinations before settling on one I was happy with and also what would fit in with the other modulars! I also spend alot of time fussing over my interior! Many thanks for all the comments so far. I read them all! and best of luck to everyone else in the contest!

Hi, im heading to Berlin in December for 3 days as I have heard such good things! I hope to visit the official shop at some point but is there anywhere else I should visit in Berlin? I have never been before. I am 26. Also I have not booked a hotel yet! Maybe I should ask to sleep above the Lego shop!

This looks fantastic, you have captured the detail of the original building very well. Also well done to get that lighting in there, it looks great!

B-OM-32C Hello everyone. Here is my entry into the Eurobricks Modular Madness contest. This a modular corner office building which is the Headquarters of The Evening Brick Newspaper! It took me ages to start due to trying to think of an original idea, and another project which I still had to suspend! I wanted to create an older styled building which was: A corner building, using a colour seldom used in the exterior of an official modular and that each floor had a different appearance. The Ground floor lobby houses a reception desk, waiting area for visitors and patterned floor. The First floor is the office of the journalists whom write for the paper. I made a 4 way desk with partitions to make the most of the space. The Second Floor has the editors office, drinks sideboard and a receptionists desk. Many more pictures of the exterior and interior can be found at my flick page here Comments always welcome!

It looks like it is now gone completely from sale so I will not get that chance. I guess the reason I held back was the thought of another high pitched plated roof (Give me some slopes in reddish brown please tlg ), and another expensively made light brick that will sit in the drawer and do nothing where budget could have been spent better elsewhere. Hopefully no more light bricks! Perhaps they could learn to push the boat out like say the town hall. Printed bricks aplenty (That clock dish is superb!), a new or rare colour and varied detailed figs. I hope to be pleasantly suprised come nearer winter months! I would agree that the carolers faces are certainly unqiue and were useful to me but I could pass on all the others after. Would be nice if the TLG made a little more effort though. Like say LOTR. Wish I had enough points for a set as expensive as that!

I was not too excited by last years post office, but bought the bakery and another winter toy shop as they were on sale on TLG online site. It seems similarly priced/pieces to the kingdoms joust. Perhaps the size and scale could be similar? I have found the figs and pieces relatively uninspiring in the winter series so far. I hope very much they up their game with this set and give me something special!

Modular Madness: Tea house and bride's dress boutique
snaillad replied to Redhead1982's topic in LEGO Town
Two very good buildings here! I like the exterior style of the boutique especially the curved windows, but also both interiors are very well done. Best of luck in the contest! -
Nice job! I like the idea of a mezzanine floor. I am very fond of the archway. However what is most unrealistic is the clean toilets Best of luck!
-
This looks great, I like the colour choice combination. I like the way you have attached the balcony fences, I agree with the other comments onn great use of the garage door pieces!
-
Nice job, I like the staircase, the loftspace and also how you put sidelights on many of the walls.
-
A very clean design executed very well. Nice job!
-
This looks great, I really like the balcony and roofwork in particular. Best of luck in the contest!

Nice idea , I particularly like the hinges placed along the underside of the balcony. It will be interesting to see how you make it modular. My only 'suggestion' would be to perhaps try and add some colour definition into the fascia. Maybe just some dark bley or dark tan to mix it up abit and dont forget some flowers!
