I'm still not 100% convinced about the Batplane, but all the new figures and the steamroller have me sold. If need be, I can take the plane apart for extra pieces.

Knowst thou, friends, that though the great Carl Poem-Piece cannot join you at Odin's side, he is with you in spirit. Fare thee well, and good luck to all! -

It's really bugging me, but I can't tell who voiced Pepper Potts in the videos. I know I've heard the voice before, but for the life of me I can't find a cast list anywhere!

I don't know if I should bring this up so soon after the bad eyesight comment, but does it look like Penguin has some new printing on his torso? It might just be me, but I'd swear he's got like a fur coat print or something.

I hate to admit it, but I do think TLG's just getting money for old rope at this point. I had thought the map was a new print, but Andhe's post informs me otherwise. With all the piratey elements that have been showing up in the Collectible Minifigs line (especially with the S8 Pirate Captain and Conquistador, S10 Revolutionary Soldier, and S11 Tiki Warrior), I honestly thought they might have been gearing up to bring the line back for its 25th anniversary next year (much like in 2009), but now I guess maybe not.

The henchman's graffitti'd vest seems almost like something out of Arkham City. Anyone else getting that or is it just me?

Mafia After Dark - Conclusion: City of Gods
Capt. Redblade replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well played, scummos! And especially well played, mostlytechnic! I wish I could have stuck around a bit longer, but it was fun while it lasted. The story and presentation were great and the characters were very well-rounded. Another fine hosting job, Tammo! -
I've never given Ninjago a second thought, but this line might finally be worth buying. Who doesn't love ninja robots? My favourite is the OverBorg Attack. It looks very much like something Spy-clops from the Agents line would have driven.

Batman General Discussion Thread

Surely you see why I was so eager to play him in Gotham City Mafia. -
It may very well be that. I don't particularly care one way or another about Croc (outside his incarnation on The Batman), and yet I find the idea of getting a new Croc minifig strangely irresistible. It probably does have a lot to do with the desire to get updated figs.

Breaking news: the Lego Superheroes license to end in 2015! In other news, the earth is flat, the Easter Bunny exists, and down is up. It's not going anywhere, people.

Batman General Discussion Thread
Capt. Redblade replied to The Penguin's topic in Culture & Multimedia
You've rather hit the nail on the head, Pengy. I'm a connoisseur of Batman comics from all ages and possess (as I've said) multiple Showcase books collecting old Silver Age tales, as well as multiple volumes of the Batman Chronicles series, which collects Golden Age Tales. Point is, I'd probably fit your definition of "hardcore", and one of the main things I love about B:TBATB is the ridiculously obscure inside jokes. The show is a hardcore geekfest, and the team-up format allows it to give obscure characters (some who have never before seen the light of television and possibly never will again) a day in the limelight. There is absolutely no way we ever would have seen Bat-Mite or Woozy Winks on Justice League. I can certainly see where a less immersive fan might find it difficult to enjoy the show, but I like it. And of course, John DiMaggio's Aquaman is always a blast. -
Mafia After Dark - Day 1: Confirmation
Capt. Redblade replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No, no, fancy. There's a difference. People like Paris Shawty are fabulous. Aw, well, it was fun while it lasted! I think Music Meister now has some competition for my favourite mafia role. Hmm... I must now find another outlet for my fanciness... To Instagram! -

Most, but not all. I'll admit I still wasn't totally sure until you posted as Hinckley in a previous game thread and then whined about not being able to make fun of Scumba anymore. But then, I don't have a team of four other people to talk to
