My cats sit on my pieces or on my instructions if they think I'm paying more attention to that than them. They get quite scatty as well at time and are darting about shouting pieces across my floor. another thing they love is rubbing against tall creations. If it happens to be a fragile WIP that's a bit annoying..! And of course they love the cardboard boxes that the sets are shipped in, y'know the big ones not the set ones. They sleep in them. It's quite amusing overall though.

Wow, what a lucky find! To think that it'd been sitting there all this time with a tree growing out. I wonder what would have happened if it'd been left. Imagine a child in 30-40 years playing in a garden and finding lego among the roots of a tree!! I think I've seen one of the yellow ones in the pile of pieces in the 4th picture. It's on the left hand side of the pile.

Happens to me all the time. Sometimes I feel like I'm 'building' in my mind when watching a film, instead of just concentrating on the film (didn't happen in the Lego Movie, everything was all built for me!!!). Or I'll see someone when I'm out and about and instead of thinking 'Lego has made that hairstyle' I think 'They have hair like a Lego piece' as if they'd stolen the style from Lego or something!!

Wow, this is great but I'm most amazed at the floor!! Did you put on gloves or something to put the tiles down without getting fingerprints on them, or did you wipe/shine/polish them afterwards???

Hello, this will be my first attempt at a review, but hopefully it should go OK, despite it being very late in the game. This set has been out for ages but I'm one of the people who buys sets late. This review, being very late coming, is a review aimed at the people who are still not quite sure whether or not they'll buy this set before it retires. I just hope that someone'll find it beneficial..! I apologize before hand for the lack of photos. I tried putting some in but it's all so complex! They all ended up oversized!! Brickset will have some. I would try again but if I wait any longer before posting this review, it will be completely ignored!! This set features a small gun, two Death Star Troopers and two Royal/Imperial Guards. Obviously it is based off the Original Trilogy, probably the last film. The box is quite small, as is the part content and the instruction booklet. There is nothing interesting to say about the instruction booklet-it's quite plain. The troopers are representing these 'operators' from the Death Star and are very accurate, the only part not represented being the ability to flip the helmet up/back off the face. The printing is detailed but not specific so MOCers will be able to re-use this torso and legs. I'm sure several of you will be glad to hear that there is no continuation of any print onto the legs of e.g. a holster, that will interfere with using the legs separately from the torso. I inspected the troopers carefully for any misprints or poor printing and found none. The attention to detail is great-the imperial symbol is printed on the helmet and less obviously printed are the little lights on the helmet's side. There is back printing, leg printing but no arm, side of leg or back of head printing. The other positive features in these figures are the different faces that appear on the Troopers- both have a headset but one is panicky and the other is relaxed. These figures are nice for a collection and the faces will be useful for creating people such as agents from a) the matrix b) Marvel Agents of Shield, or c) converting standard yellow Agents figures to flesh colour. The remaining two figures are the updated versions of the Imperial Guards. They have a new print, and a new colour added to their colour scheme. The hood piece is hard plastic, has an overhand over the front but no overhang on the back, which means the wonderful double sided cape is not crushed. The cape is dark red on the inside and the arms are dark red too which lend the appearance of shading. There is only one printed part on these Guards, that being the detailed crumples on the front of the torso; all other areas are blank. I'm not sure what it is with these figures, maybe it's the length of the hood, but they look a bit weird from the front, however the view from the back is good. Also when comparing them to pictures of them from the films, I realize that a) the hood should be smaller, and that b)they have a cape almost like a poncho. Making the hood on these people smaller would have been hard unless they made a new head mold. I wonder what they'd look like too with a dementor style cape that goes over both sides of the torso... I have put the weapons in their own section here separate from the figures as there is quite a bit to say. For starters the guns are quite large and unrealistic, but they have a traditional blocky Lego feel to them and the added shooting function, although heavily criticized, is a fun idea and works well. I have also seen this gun used in clever ways for e.g. grappling guns, and for MOCers it will be fun for them to provide uses for. For the people who don't like the guns on people there is always the possibility of integrating them in to large(ish) vehicles. Personally I don't mind them and the set as a result comes with a lot of spare red studs, which being transparent can often dirty with time, meaning new 'bright' ones are always welcome. Useful for those of us who need a lot of studs for Micro Manager building..! The force pikes given to the Guards at first glance seem a bit cheap. The parts are common and the overall look is a bit unpleasing; however when looking at a picture of them (see last link) I can see what Lego was trying to do. I can also understand why they'd want to use the torch piece rather than the thinner lightsaber hilt- the lightsaber hilt would confuse children about the nature of the weapon maybe..? To finish this review there is the gun to talk about. It looks like it should fit inside the Death Star set as a turret but I don't have it to try. It's rather basic and quite chunky in the wrong way. It's perched rather oddly on a small stand and sadly there are no controls for it despite there being a chair for an operator. It features a long double barrelled gun for 'display' and a functional flick fire that can be shot by pushing a lever. It's not fancy and not very effective; the missile often falls short of clearing the barrel of the gun- a rather fatal issue for any operator... Overall this is a very nice set, however it is obviously an add-on set, and it is necessary to have some other Imperial figures and some heroes to fight for any real play to happen. The other problem one might find with this set is that despite being an add-on set, it would not be practical to buy lots of it as contains the rather elusive Imperial Guards. EDIT-On Wookieepedia they say there could be hundreds of them. However, we rarely see them in the films This set feels very much like a set for a 'rich kid' or a TFOL or AFOL. It really needs a Palpatine or a Death Star or an Imperial Shuttle to accompany it, or a Millennium Falcon or a Rebel ship to be pitted against. The problem is with those sets/figures is that they're all expensive and the average child is unlikely to have them. All the same, it's a very nice set, the best and most accurate part being the Death Star Troopers. Summary/Rating- there is no sensible 'scale' of sorts here-just opinion Figures-8/10- Two of the four are spot on and good for collecting, the other two are a bit specific for an add-on set Parts-6/10- not many interesting parts here, the spares are boring. Build-2/10- Nothing new or interesting here. All there is is a simple gun and figure building. Price-8/10- Could be better but not by much. The content could have been slightly improved to justify a higher price. Playability-4/10- As mentioned earlier this set really needs a larger friend for it to complement. Display-4/10- Nice figures to display, the gun is a bit blocky though Overall rating- 5/10- (taken as an average from the other ratings) A reasonable rating for a reasonable set. Worth buying though, definitely worth buying if you have a Death Star... Thanks for reading this review (or at least part of it), I hope you find it helpful. Very nice, I like the way you included the lights as well. There's a good look to it. Seems like the kind of place you'd find on the outskirts of a small village, or on a large highway in America/Canada; (not that I can really give any sensible location as I've never been across the Atlantic)! I think a few pick-up trucks would complement the scene further. Great MOC!

I like the screen usage on the police car. The crooks could climb out the sides though!! The wagon is good too, as are the rest.

That spaceship mode by itself is fantastic, but along with the transformation it makes this truly outstanding!!! The mech looks great, and I love all the texture here! Wonderful!
