Review: 70146 Flying Phoenix Fire Temple
Mutant Orc replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review! These sets seem a bit weird for me, but gosh! The printing on the figures! That's really what keeps my small interest in Chima is the astonishing details that some figures have! The Tiger and the Sabre tooth are brilliant, and the lioness and vulture is good too! !- 18 replies

Who's got Benny's Spaceship put together already?
Mutant Orc replied to BirdOPrey5's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well I don't have the Spaceship, but I do have Metalbeard's Sea Cow. The piece is molded with the center bit of the chin strap 'cracked'. There is no need to take some pliers or anything and crack the piece for an accurate look!! -
Well, I don't have this new truck, but I loved the AC truck!!! One of my favorite sets for play value, and I think from the photos, that it visually looks better than this Agents truck... Are there any reviews for theses Agents sets? They'd help me decide....

I like picking up the boxes of sets I have absolute no intention of buying that day, if at all! I just like to have a good look at them sometimes, see the images properly and all that. Oh the joys of the familiar rattle! Glass would an inconvenient pain. And glass is only good for expensive small items or dangerous items. It makes sense to put a £200+ piece of jewelry behind glass as it can be easily pocketed, but I don't see anyone ever managing to pocket a death star without a member of staff noticing..!

Oh right, there the mini ball and socket parts, -I call them mixel parts as they come in the Mixels sets! http://brickset.com/sets?query=mixels Although when I think about it some will be hard to use in mechs...

I think her torso just looks very long in comparison. I'm sure I'll like her when i get her...if I get her...I spend quite a bit though on Lego, often, so I probably will. And yes, I suppose Tunneler Beast is pretty cool. You managed to convince me to like it just as much as I did before I saw the lack of plates- it is nice as it is!
-
These are all very very cool!!! One suggestion/question though- with the mini ones could mixel parts help achive better movement/look? Or are they not on LDD yet? Still- Very very cool!

Heh heh, Cragger on steroids!

Cool! I like these, and personally I haven't seen anything similar so that's a bonus!

The Death Star (Look at the size of that thing!)
Mutant Orc replied to Gotta love the plastic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That was a cool explosion at the end! I still can't believe they managed to drop it though! I could never manage to smash a set so brutally!! -
Wow, a nice looking house and better still a cleverly made and detailed interior!!! There is only one thing I can think of to suggest is- maybe the bedrooms and the bathroom could do with a different colour floor. Some tiles or something, just so it's no black like the landing/halls. But then again this is brilliant and I couldn't build anything like this, so I can't really comment!!!

Clever curve technique!

Theon Turncloack - "Game of Thrones" scene
Mutant Orc replied to Wat Tambor's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
He used Captain Fuller's from the lone Ranger Line. Nice representation, and nice wall! -
They look cool yeas. I've realized I'll get a Bulk with the crystal beast so I might not bother with the mech after all. They red beast looks OK. I'll get it for the head and that, but there is a sad lack of plates there it seems. And the queen's legs do look a bit funny in the way they look like they're from another creature and stuck on the bottom; it's the way it looks about the connection. Like the torso/legs are meant to be separate... Thanks for the photos.

I never payed any attention to that set!! I will have to go back and take a look now for copying the designs!!! Thanks for this, it's a nice MOC. I'm surprised how nice it looks in bright colours too!
-
Yikes, getting those curves must have been hard!! It looks really good though and the simple colour scheme does work brilliantly!!
-
Oh, what? I'm not sure why I'm surprised, but I'm rather annoyed that they've botched up the currency again! It's not that hard converting prices.... Maybe I won't be so quick in getting the sets, they are more expensive than hoped. Reductions may be necessary. I'll wait for the reviews. They'll help.

This is great, but one or two places look like the need a few more wardrobes/bookcases/chests and general clutter. It was a very messy house. Hee, hee I know exactly what's meant to be going on in pic.8 but it does look slightly weird....
-
I really like this! It looks fantastic, I would list everything I liked a lot, nut that's the whole thing so I won't! Although I will mention the fact that i find it clever and funny that you managed to sneak a crocodile head into the swamp!!
-
I'll definitely be getting all the beast sets. I'd be getting them regardless of quality of design as I'd use the pieces to build my own. I'll need a Bulk so I'll get his machine set too. I'm rather annoyed they didn't include any more heroes in this story though; at this rate I'll end up with far too many Furnos and Evos. Yellow and red aren't even that interesting colours. If they'd created a new purple hero that would be a different matter...but that's not happening!

I love the spines! The overall look is really menacing, I think it's great!

Ideas for New Action Themes
Mutant Orc replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Heh, heh, Pacific Rim lego would be nice, but everything in that film is on a ridiculous scale....Hero Factory IFB is close enough for me... I would greatly appreciate a steampunk theme. In fact I'd love this as a theme- http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86960&st=0 Monster fighters was too 'diesel punk'. (I love that term, it fits so well!)
