  1. Hmm. Whenever I hear 'mysterious holographic hooded figure' I immediately think of Darth Sidious/Palpatine from the Prequel Star Wars trilogy... It would be very nice to get a second wave. There are only two or three smaller sets that I like from this wave, but I like the idea of having another wave of sets.
  2. Wow, that is very cool! I can't wait to get my own now to 'borrow' some of your ideas! Thanks for posting!
  3. Personally i like the use of antennas as wipers... Nice car! 'I even like the colour...'
  4. Nice walls! The building is great as well of course, I like the roof! Overall very nice!
  5. Nice use of the Gandalf beard, I always like to see good pieces being used elsewhere-maybe they'll recolour it one day into black or dark brown. That would be very nice, I've got, (and I'm sure Hobbit and LOTR collecters are the same) too many Gandalf's though..! The space miner looks rather standard/bland but the Goddess and the muketeer-ish dude looks good. It's nice that they're already using the arm printing techniques elsewhere, I wonder if any in the rest of the series will have printed mini legs?
  6. Cool! I like the shape, it's a nice mix of blocky(ish) at the back but with a nice smooth front. I really like the design, I may copy it one day (if that's all right)!
  7. Wow, that cockpit design works brilliantly! I really like the whole thing, but the cockpit itself I find the best! Not only are the windscreens clever but there is loads of detail packed into it as well! I really like the use of the piece with the emblem in the seat!
  8. Wow, this is brilliant! Loads of details crammed in, next time I pop back to have a look I'll probably see something new!! Great!
  9. Ha-ha! A funny story! I want to believe too!
  10. Thanks for the review! I think I might have to agree here, those figures look great! I wasn't fond of the way the eagles and the raven and a few others had been done the first time, but Vardy doesn't look all that bad, and the leopard is cool. I doubt I'll be getting this though, as there are three or four of the action figures that I prefer and will find more useful.
  11. I live close to the village Bethesda- in Wales! My nearest city is Bangor, N.Wales, UK.
  12. Sadly there is no way to limit over purchasing to stop lack of stock for RRP. It's more of a problem with Polybags, especially when there is unequal distribution. No maybe its not a necessity UsernameMDM to buy these things, but for someone who's got a job 'some money' as you put it etc, what's the need in buying stuff to sell it on at a ridiculous price? It's evident that you have money spare to make these purchases and it just denies the less fortunate/wealthy of us some pleasure from an item. And at the end of the day if you're not happy your not healthy. And generating money for the sake of having money is despicable. Money should be used so as to get by comfortably, not to greedily drool over and hoard like a dragon. Anyway, I think that went a bit off topic somewhere, possibly.... EDIT-Hmm, I was weirdly grumpy yesterday and that sounds anti-capitalist. STRIKE OUT!
  13. Swooshing is a valid form of checking that a model is complete. My friend has a problem with swooshing and picking up models, and he's nearly dropped a few large ones too. He might have even had the audactity to try and swoosh, or at least suggest, swooshing Orthanc-I nearly had a heart attack at the thought ! Isn't that right Flobnomdob?? (cue accusing stare) Back to the point, swooshing is very sensible for AFOLs/TFOLs to do with a flying vehicle. I wonder if set designers do it to?? I really need to know that now...do Lego set desginers swoosh models to test for playability???
  14. I don't have objections to people buying the sets then flogging them later. I just feel sorry for those who buy the sets who maybe think they're getting a good deal, especially if the sets are still for sale somewhere cheaper! I do have an objection though against these comic con things where Exclusive lego items are given to non-fans who go and flog them for horrendous prices. That is not very fair and personally I think it would be nicer if only VIP members that have been registered for say 2, maybe 4 months, could get them. Not marketers who take advantage of free-bees.
  15. Hoover is very generally used over in Britain, more common though is the use of Sellotape for most types of sticky tape. In Welsh it could be seen as an even worse scenario- I've never heard sticky tape used, it's always 'selotep' or 'tap selo' (don't ask for the way it is accented it's too complex to explain!!) .
  16. Thanks for all the reviews! (I'll only comment here, to save repeated the message.) This set has grown on me. I thnk I'll get it. With the trans neon orange zamor sphere (or whatever it is), the immediate alternate use that came to me for it, that hasn't been mentioned, is as a Palantir. We got a black and greenish sphere in the Tower of Orthanc set that sits on a nice pedestal with a light brick beneath. The eye of Sauron turned the palantirs a reddish colour, like this version of the zamor sphere, so I'm curious to see what it'll look like in a LOTR scene/in Orthanc.
  17. And least everyone's minds are programmed to LEGO; it goes to show that Lego is still considered better, subconsciously at least, by those who are non-fans. I've never heard anyone go 'oh look Kreos/Megablocks!' when talking of Lego. It's still annoying though! Especially when in supermarkets a child goes- Oh look mummy can I have this?-whilst talking of a decent lego set. Then the mother/parent generally goes-but this is better (AKA cheaper) whilst looking at a megablocks halo set....
  18. This is very very good! I like the staff sergeant..!
  19. Wow this is amazing! and yes it would make a very nice cute little set!
  20. Very cool! I love all of them!
  21. I really like that mini tree beard. Nice use of the mixels parts. I might have to steal/copy this design! Will you build more mini-ents and then a mini Isengard to go with them? You could make a whole mini diorama....
  22. That's amazing! really detailed and clever, the shape is nicely warped. I particularly like the blue. It just works somehow.
  23. Nice! Very cool, impressive how it's made from set parts!
  24. Wow, impressive project! looks like a great start, I'm already impatient to see the finished product!!
