  1. I wonder why 5x7 frames wasn't used here? You could have built more compact solution, while maintaining same properties. Sadly, don't have any better picture, but it should be OK to understand what I came up with in my 17 stud width truck (click for higher resolution): Wheels are attached with 87408, which allows to use other side of the wheel. And yes, front wheels are steered and driven, but should be fairly easy to adapt your suspension solution.
  2. Don't worry about the body! I find it very good, keeping in mind you managed to build open body MOC with all PF stuff hidden.
  3. Yeah But at least I've reported the issue!
  4. Hasn't it been told many times to use "Report" button found just to the left from "MultiQuote" and "Quete" buttons, instead of replying with unnecessary information and rising your post count?
  5. Nice idea. Looks like excavator might need its own topic as it looks quite interesting unit.
  6. Where did you find that? I don't see it being discounted in US or Germany.
  7. While I like printed parts over stickers ones I thought it is still good to have stickers sometimes. In Technic the most often sticker-ed parts probably are panels. I imagine we could end up missing plain panels in some colors. That wouldn't be great either.
  8. You need to use either 8886 or 8871 extension cable. Bottom on one of the ends has connection for old 9V system (which buggy motor has).
  9. Well you need to publish/host pictures publicly somewhere first, via Flickr, Bricksafe, Brickshelf or any other. Rebrick is just URL bookmarking website and not a hosting website. PS, my presentation on EB was made when entry was already available on Rebrick.
  10. I don't really get it. How do you do the same to achieve completely different result?
  11. Nice one. Color scheme reminds me 8288 set
  12. Here you go (click on image to get a larger version):
  13. As some of you may know LEGO is running a Technic Building Competition with Mercedes-Benz. I was looking forward to participate and it took me a while to understand what future truck would look like. Initial idea of building truck driven by both front and back axles was quite simple to implement. Two L-motors have been used for that. Steering is performed by Servo motor and truck is controlled remotely. Fun fact - chassis without aerodynamic cover is somewhat reversible and can be used up side down. Final model is very sturdy thanks to slick and strong body. Unfortunately, due to selected width rear axle is somewhat less reliable and has gear grinding upon start but drives normally afterwards. This is something wasn't possible to completely solve having double wheels per each side. [/url] Below you can check my vision of a truck in year 2045: Few more pictures can be found on my Flickr Stats: 2 L-motors for propulsion Servo motor for steering Small non-rechargeable battery box 44 studs long 17 studs wide 24 studs tall weights 1098g. no suspension
  14. I don't have new turntable yet, sadly. However i would like to suggest a different approach - rather than matching in linear think of a gear intersecting in space plane, something that showed in here. Please let us know if you find a better place for 12T gear.
  15. It is a good intention to make new material environment friendly. However I believe the real thing AFOLs care about, in terms of LEGO, is to have many year old brick of the same quality the day it was bought - same color, shape and characteristics. And it would be unfortunate if brick would lose or change any of its parameters due to unintentional prolonged exposure to some common conditions - water or sunlight, as an example. So sustainable material for LEGO should be durable without programmed self destruction/utilization.
  16. Check the price for panels #5 and #6 and you need 5 of each. That's 60EUR+ just for 10 parts alone.
  17. Great new stuff Zblj! Looks better than your recent Jaguar, imho. Will definitely built this one some time in the winter to check Fox's and Coyote's performance on snow.
  18. Since Dirt Crusher RC (and Outdoor Challenger) are intended to be used outdoors so battery box and motors a substantially protected from dust and water drops. Same RC remote controller is compatible with both sets mentioned above and the one like 8475.
  19. At first it didn't look that great to me. But then I watched the video and realized how amazing it is - so complex, so many functions enabled with just a single motor.
  20. Metallic silver and Dark Blue are probably my most favorite colors.
  21. Nicely build, I like it a lot! Did you have a chance to test/calculate how long it will work on single battery charge? Would it be possible to incorporate a solar panel for "infinite uptime" ?
  22. 14: 10 18: 6 10: 4 11: 3 9: 2 20: 1
  23. Great! Same wheels? Btw, I remeber some people wanted to compare this one with Madoca's Tatra. Luckily one of other LUG members has built it so both were available. Madoca's truck is very good, but you just cannot compare Fox and Tatra. Fox is just much more powerful and less picky terrain it needs to travel due to having 4x more power and less gears between motors and wheels, which means less friction too.
  24. Another 41999 in used condition with box and building instructions for 150Euro.
