  1. That's because you assembled it a bit wrong ;) Gear rack shouldn't be raised by whole one stud, but rather slide on axles as shown on original example. This gives it more space.
  2. Looks like re-issued 8439 wasn't completely same as previous version since it was build with new parts in new colors (LBG vs Light Gray), not the old stock or reproduction of old ones. Old part - doesn't mean discontinued part. The differential you mentioned was used in Unimog, two years later after 8063 set.
  3. I had a case of smelly parts from BL. It had strong smoke smell and I had to soak and clean them twice to make smell disappear. Rubber parts seem not to be affected by cleaning three times and smelled anyway. I told seller about that I'm really not happy about that just to receive a message they probably had a bbq near the storing area... And seller was like "if this is a issue at all?" Seller was kind of rude, not customer focused, so ended returning my order back for full refund and getting stop listed by seller. Another case was with a used set, which had a storage room smell. But that was gone when parts I've washed the bricks.
  4. It is a very cool feature! But I seem not to understand the purpose of just showing it and not explaining how this is done. The only comments I see are "How did you do this?" and no details
  5. In EU I think that would be Germany. This country has lowest RRP for new sets (most of the time) and huge resale market. You can get new set cheaper online.
  6. You can build it from single posted image...
  7. 42022 Hot Rod has non-standard, in terms of LEGO, steering setup also.
  8. I'm a Technic guy and I've missed quite a lot of good sets (some are still missing) during dark ages. Due to the fact some, even used sets cost quite a lot I see no troubles purchasing them in used condition. Well, this is actually the only way I could afford and collect them. I've been pretty lucky getting them in decent or very good condition, even though these sets have been bought online without personal visual check. Not sure about you guys, but I find cleaning used set somewhat relaxing and having similar experience as building a set, so it is not a big issue for me. Unfortunately I had few cases of missing parts and it took quite long time to collect them all, without spending a lot.
  9. Andreasp, from your user name and details on BSC webpage I suppose you are its main (only?) developer. I found your reply a bit unprofessional. Instead of blaming SBrick you would better provide some details on questions raised in this topic. This would help community understand if BSC has potential to be used in the future. PS. Please be aware SBrick already had quite large team of engineers, developers and PR during their Kickstarter campaign.
  10. Ok, it looks like I managed to score rare part (unintentionally) for the first time. I've ordered couple of used Technic, Liftarm 1 x 6 Thin in black. Thanks to sunny weather I managed to see that one of the parts looked a bit transparent... and turns out to be in Trans-Black [bL]. Color is uniform. According to BL none of such colored parts existed in any of sets, which is cool!
  11. It is hard to see, but it looks like crane won't have any Technic connectors in blue (except 44)? That's a pity.
  12. I found it is good to hold ordering parts/sets that you want at this very moment, but still think if this is a good choice or not. It happens that I have an urge to buy some set or number of parts due to discounts/rarity/availability/etc but at he very end (just before completing purchase) try to say NO to yourself. Then spend at least a day thinking. Normally you cool down and then can normally decide if you really need those items. I have saved some valuable money using this method
  13. Excellent review as always. BlueSmartControl looks good promising. I wonder when more essential details will be published, like: Which BT version BSC is based on? This would help determine what kind of devices could be used for control. Devices normally work in such short distance without much issues. What working from a distance? Any notes about planned range? While smartphones/tablets and other smart devices are quite good it terms of customizable layout they do not provide any physical or tactical feedback. Is there any information if will be possible to use some physical devices (like game pads) for control? Without any intermediate device, like PC or laptop.
  14. I wouldn't be happy too. You sell bricks and you make a profit of out it - so box, tape, peanuts, and gas to drive to the post office is more or less covered. Otherwise you might also charge how much electricity you've spent while processing an order... If you need to drive miles to post office - I could suggest setting up "minimum order" to certain level, so group of orders would cover it.
  15. Yes please, I'd love to build it.
  16. So its the month of LM cars? I like it and I like the model very much as well!
  17. Nice, I really like the shape which is overall way better than 42039. Is it based on any of real models? PS. It was good time for TLG to reintroduce those wheel caps with 42039...
  18. That moment when you first think this is a picture of a real thing and then you realize it is a MOC... Impressive!
  19. That's because they are designed to be with and without fiction. Other two combinations: 43093 and 3749 6558 and 32556
  20. I still think some sellers use part weight to get required piece count for not expensive parts.
