  1. Very nice truck MOC, but can you post a few more pictures? I think that would be helpful.
  2. Yes. That is the regular way to get the minimini for non-VIPs in the US.
  3. I actually made a second pledge last night using a different e-mail address and was told by the guys that was totally acceptable. (I grabbed the 498th early bird SBrick. ) With most Kickstarter campaigns you get a survey after the campaign ends and shortly before the items ship to give opportunity to give sizes, color choices, update shipping info or similar things.
  4. Tomorrow morning, I'll be getting: Research Lab Exo-Suit AT-AT Trevi ...all with VIP points.
  5. Picking up a good number of sets tomorrow so it'd be a perfect time to start this! (and I found my battery charger)
  6. I'm sure that's just a victim of spellcheck.
  7. Hey, SBricks guys... You might want to get the TechCrunch guys to fix the article... They say that you can only control 4 SBricks from your phone... I think there were other technical errors too, but that was the one that stood out to me.
  8. The TRU near me (Lynnwood, WA) had the Cantina on the shelf the other night, but the Target next door had only old sets.
  9. Wow! Funding picked up 2500 GBP since last night! Must have hit a new site somewhere.
  10. I'd say jump on the SSD. You can always get the B-wing next payday, whereas the SSD might be gone again... and do you really want to pay BL prices for a set that was $400 at retail?
  11. I was at my nearest TRU the other night, no such luck.
  12. I don't think you're going to be able to gear-up even an XL motor enough to make it taxi and/or take off. Actually... Has anyone been able to even taxi a lego aircraft just with propellers?
  13. Whether she's a goddess or a warrior, in either case the typical solid block skirt would have been a mistake.
  14. It might not have to be three floors of books... Even an older architectural style library could have an area with computers as most libraries do nowadays, and isn't there already at least one computer in the Town Hall? That sets Modularville in modern times, right?
  15. Sorry, but as Athena is a warrior goddess, using the skirt block for her here would have been a major FAIL. How does the street date for CMF usually work? Is it a strict Oct 1, or will they randomly start showing up in stores before then?
  16. By "just another LAAT" I'm referring to the general structure and purpose, not the relatively minor aesthetic design differences. It is basically a Wookie Low Altitude Assault Transport... w/LAAT if you will. Twin fore and aft cockpits: check Twin chin-guns: check Slab sides with doors that open for troops: check Atmospheric craft: check Differences are primarily aesthetic: coloration curve gradients LAAT wings are less stubby LAAT's single shoulder cannons are swapped for a twinned gun more dorsally mounted The bubbles from the LAAT wingtops are lost and the bubble-guns are replaced by automated cannon just aft of the same position and connected to the wing-bottom instead So.... to me it's as if the LAAT concept was copied by a different company, or this is a smaller model. (I'm looking at those 1x4 slopes running down the outsides of the cockpits of both.)
  17. Wow. These are all looking fantastic! I wish I had more parts and time so I could give it a whirl.
  18. How is this not 'fitting' in with other SW vehicles? When I saw this: I immediately thought how much it looked like this: It's basically just another LAAT, but not from the catalogue of Rothana Heavy Industries or maybe from a different model year.
  19. By dictionary definition, the collective noun 'clutch' refers to bird eggs... I'd prefer one that isn't already associated with something else, So, I'm going to throw my support this way:
  20. 15 days to go and it's over 38,000 GBP.
  21. I just finished 42008 last night and I wish I'd sprung the extra cash for the 42030.
  22. How odd... You'd think that if I'd missed putting them in somewhere along the line, another part wouldn't be able to connect properly, but I had no problems at all during the rest of the build suggesting that I'd missed putting them in, and all of the functions work fine. And then there's the 5 extra axles, too! Weird. I'll be disassembling it shortly anyways for another project I'm thinking of.
  23. Was this set known for having a BUNCH of extra parts? Like two 7-stud axles, one each 4- 6- and 8- stud axles, two 11-stud lift arms, in addition to the usual assortment of pins and single-stud plates and tiles. ...and everything works...
