No, more that the 'clearance' price is the same as the regular retail price. Weird seeing it right next to the new Cantina...

Picked this up last night from TRU, both as a green parts pack and because I haven't tried a set with pneumatics since coming out of the DA... I agree that it's ugly, but a bigger problem for me is the build itself. Too many sub builds that get added onto a half-dozen pins at once, and often those pins are on short beams that rotate while you're trying to connect stuff. I should have just sprung the extra cash for the new Volvo instead, even if it meant more yellow.

Almost to 35K... I wish I could afford more than just two... Maybe if those prices were USD instead of GBP. :)- 771 replies

What's number one on your list to get 1st August?
rollermonkey replied to talos's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I simply cannot narrow it down to just one. ATAT, Volvo, Trevi, Snowspeeder, both Ideas sets, Mini... I want them all and more, but some will have to wait. -
Oddly, my local TRU has about a dozen of these on "clearance" for just $89.99... Crappy sale is crappy.

I'm sure you haven't read every post in this thread, but every suggestion or question asked concerning user created control schemes has been met with either 'it's already in there' or 'we can incorporate that now that you've suggested it' or 'we'll help you make that'. I'm sure you can do what you're asking, or will be able to shortly.- 771 replies

Why isn't there a poll on this review? (I always wait until I've built a set to vote in the polls...)

I don't care if they do 2 a year or 5 a year, I'd just like some consistency in the release schedule and... NO MORE EXCLUSIVES!- 180 replies

Really? It looks more like Paul Stanley's hair style than May's, IMO. ...and I know I'm not the only one who's keen for the goth girl.- 1,109 replies

Um, it's never been a line with massive waves like SW or City. 2-5 sets a year is all it's ever gotten with only the White House in 2010. And this year we had Eiffel Tower and Trevi Fountain with Marina Bay Sands being a Dec 13 release.- 180 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
rollermonkey replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh please. In that world, we'd get three more new editions each of the PT and OT and he'd never get around to the sequel trilogy before he died. I'm imagining a regular Winter '15 wave and a light Summer '15 wave, both right on time, and followed by a larger than usual Winter '16 wave six weeks early to coincide with the movie release. -

Stupid or no, it's been a SW vehicle since 1979. It was one of these, operating offscreen, that took out the sandcrawler in Episode IV. And in a galaxy with tractor beams and FTL travel, keeping people from falling out of a moving vehicle would have to be a pretty easy proposition. -
The Death Star (Look at the size of that thing!)
rollermonkey replied to Gotta love the plastic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think a better route would be to drop an SSD nose first onto a DSII, to recreate the Executor crashing into the Death Star 2. -
Shame he couldn't squeeze in a gear reduction to that head spin... I can understand not being able to make the travel speed quicker, it's hard to believe he could even squeeze the L-motors in the feet, but there's a a lot of space inside the dome and the body.

[MINI] Tumbler

That's truly impressive. Makes it hard to believe that TLG couldn't squeeze ANY steering or suspension into their upcoming release. -

Now that's thinking outside the box! I like it. I also like seeing the campaign shooting past the 50% mark today.- 771 replies

^They seem to go quickly because when Mom and Dad take Junior into the Lego Store, they usually give him (or her) a budget... and the Microfighters are ALWAYS under that budget. -

I look at how many people have them in line while checking out. (MicroFighters) ...and I'm thinking we'll see a second wave. -
