  1. You want the UCS one? Good luck with that. The video is nice, good job! I had no idea GoPro cameras had such bad lighting, though.
  2. Nice job, I really like the way you used 6L links for the windscreen, they make a very nice shape! And of course, the cacti is the best part.
  3. I really like your mods, although the telescopic boom doesn't appeal to me. I don't have one myself, but the first thing I would do would be adding pneumatics and maybe more PF functions (e.g. the extension of the crane, which is all manual, even though the crane lifting is PF, and of course some other functions).
  4. Good job on 100 subs! The rover is looking great, I can't wait to see it finished!
  5. I've never seen one either. I don't know if I like it or not, but I would love to see more cars with mudguards attached to the wheel hub.
  6. I actually have the same problem as Trent. Also, I have noticed, like chelman, that my old treads (2003-2006 about) are very rough and seem to have some kind of dust on them that I can never get off.
  7. Yes, that piece is what I was talking about, it makes an infernal screeching noise when at high speeds. Maybe an updated version of that and an ungeared motor would be beneficial.
  8. Amazing job! Do you really need a large actuator for the gear shifter?
  9. You don't have any of the newer u-joints, right? I will go build an example and edit it into my post when I'm done.
  10. If you're counting stickered pieces, 8880 has 2 unique stickered headlight pieces.
  11. Wow, two Corvettes! I'm probably going to build a 1970 Corvette ZR1.
  12. Will you be able to use parts from the sets? Also, it may be very difficult using 4L u-joints in a studless model, they don't align very well with studded elements. However, you do have just enough for 4WD and 4WS, if you are planning on using 4-link live axles or independent. Also, what are the largest wheels you have, and do you have diffs?
  13. OK, well I think my Corvette will be different, I picked it because its ridiculously wide tires are actually nearly the same dimensions as Silver Champion wheels (and yes, I am building it in that scale). I really wish lego would make some thinner wheels, they are almost all very wide compared to real cars.
  14. Hello all, I was planning on ordering some 8880 wheels, and I noticed the Bricklink image was most definitely grey, and there is no record of any being sold in grey or any existing for that matter. Does anyone know why or how that is the Bricklink picture?
  15. Has anyone built a Corvette? Also, I'm planning on building one as my first Technic project, but I can't find good specs on engine, gearbox, etc., does anybody know where I can find these? Also a little skeptical of this topic, might be like the Help With Your MOC topic, but we'll just have to see how it goes.
  16. How would you make a multilink suspension without CV joints? I once made a steered and driven multilink setup and I had to use CV joints so the axle could slide out of them when it is steered. Or am I getting the wrong picture?
  17. Yes, I will never use the large ball joints for live axles, there is almost always too much negative caster. Aren't those wheels a little small?
  18. Hmm not getting anything out of the link. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  19. Thanks for bumping this topic, I somehow missed it. Great job on the tractor, the linkage in the back looks very complicated! Will you post a video of the motorized version?
  20. I understand the things like wheels for the 8448 and 19L black flex axles, but some of the unique parts for Star Wars, Chima, etc. seem kind of pointless. Kinda OT, but I really think there should be some studless gear selector plates for the 8880 stick shift. That thing is really awesome and much more realistic than the newer parts.
  21. I know I've seen a crane built by a now (I think) inactive member of EB that had 16 (!) pneumatic cylinders to lift the boom. I think an actuator made with 3x11 panels with a 3x3 piston would be great for that kind of model, and the wider piston and longer stroke would make it more robust and realistic.
  22. Geez, I guess I read that wrong... I thought for some reason that the RC motor had the same torque as the XL but at greater RPMs because of the increased voltage. I guess they're really not an option as they would need a lot of gearing to have any kind of torque. Thank god, those motors are so expensive, I can buy 3 XLs for the same amount as a single buggymotor. No pf to 9v cables either. Has anyone ever tried NXT motors?
  23. Buggy motors have nearly the same torque as XL, just a matter of powering them and the steering servos..
  24. Wow, it looks great! Thank you for not putting music in the video, I love the sound of the GBC much better than music.
  25. OK, I see how it works. I'm just amazed that you got the axles to balance when the shock absorbers have 2 degrees of freedom. Will there be a video?
