Lucky, you've got a lego store where you live, the nearest one to me is across 2 states... Anyway, if you're lucky, you can find the original MC set at stores like FYE. If you can't find them, I guess you should just order them online, I wonder why they're not in the store?

Just make a flickr and deeplink them. I can't wait to see some of your MOC's!

Electric Motors: Old 9V vs. PF
Junpei replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
piterx are you talking about the 2838 motor? Its 2000+ RPM speed makes it really fun to screw around with, and you can get them for $3 apiece. I think the square 9v motors actually have pretty good performance, though. -
It's probably from turning the rotation sensor, I think it's normal although I don't have one.

[LDD MOC] Custom BMW R100
Junpei replied to darsedz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, it looks great, and welcome to EB! Is the u-joint to bevel gear transmission realistic? I guess it probably is, as you're modeling it after an actual bike. Good job, I can't wait to see this in real bricks! Also, is there any suspension on the front? -
What is your least favorite LEGO set?
Junpei replied to CardinalBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Why are you even saying that though? Nothing for a very long time (or ever) will surpass the legendary 8880. I do agree though, 6211 sucks and 42009 really needs at least an XL. -
I hope I can get my hands on a servo soon.

Trophy Truck Project
Junpei replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think so, but if you don't you could mount the arms sideways if you're planning on ramming into walls. I don't recommend the 2-speed tho, especially if you're using RC motors. Doesn't offsetting the links put stress on the u-joints? -
Yeah, it looks great! Could you go into a little more detail on how you made the wheels? Just stopping by in the Special Themes forum for 1 post, lol.

[WIP] American Muscle
Junpei replied to Nike 2101's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, I never even noticed it had an engine until now! Great job on fitting it in and making it look proportionate at that scale. I agree with Horace T, the exposed engine looks better. By the way, what kind of suspension is that? -

Effe's MOC Corner
Junpei replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You would probably need at least 2 XL's to get that speed, although it might be doable. Amazing job on your baja boss, it is stunning! -
I don't know if it will fit, however they do look a bit thin. Well I hope it works, and also welcome to Eurobricks!

Flat Plates that say TECHNIC
Junpei replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
In 8069 backhoe, there are I think 2 or 4 1x6 [stickered] plates that say TECHNIC on them. -
Really, I've never had an axle melt before. I have gotten my finger stuck between two 24t gears on an XL though, it was painful.
