  1. Should all of this be here? Look at the topic title... That tow truck is beautiful, wish I had the budget for it.
  2. WOW!! Astounding model, photography, and editing!!
  3. @Technyk32231 why do you care? The MOC is awesome, although I don't understand the engine parts bit either.
  4. I meant the speed of the new XL motor, buggymotor is about 650 RPM...
  5. That's awesome! I love the use of Technic parts, especially in the furniture! But the topic is nearly unreadable since you posted all your images twice. Not to mention the whole topic.
  6. I just found this today: US Patent D384,986. Toy Building Element. Oct. 14, 1997. Look at the fourth patent. I wonder why Lego never made the part...
  7. Here is a question: Should I buy 8880 or 8868?
  8. 12.50 Euros? Maybe I'll buy a set of these, the ones from RC4WD are more than twice as expensive...
  9. Oh, I forgot about that. I should try and make a uniball joint.
  10. Nice! Is it just the picture or is 42000's front axle wider than the rear axle?
  11. How about with a Bionicle-sized ball? That way you could make one out of existing technic parts. Or maybe i'm interpreting this wrong?
  12. The motor I'm using is about 13000 RPM at 7.2V, which happens to be the voltage the Lego rechargeable battery outputs, but they are just too damn expensive IMO. I wonder what would happen with one of z3_2drive's 10V battery packs...
  13. Yes, it's the same. They only have one stud width of connection now tho, but it has higher clutch power than the old rims.
  14. TasV I meant maybe you could design the case, I was just kind of hinting that. MrNumbskull13, an ungeared XL spins just about that fast, maybe a little faster. To put the speed of my motor in perspective, that's 20 times the speed of a buggy motor.
  15. A worm gear with more than one tooth? I can't check your LDD file, but it sounds like it should be correct.
  16. Awesome! How many cylinders does that engine have? Is it an X engine? I can't wait for more!
  17. I wonder how much torque it has, 13000 is absolutely ridiculous...
  18. <cough> TasV <cough> Thanks for the info Boxerlego, I'll try that today. I still need to order the motor tho, so I might wait. The measurements are perfect for an XL, I hope it works! How fast does your upgraded XL spin?
  19. Today I was planning on upgrading an XL motor for my crawler (with a 13000+ RPM motor) and I was wondering how to take it apart without destroying the case, like in the TB look inside it. I also was wondering if there was any way to just extend it one stud for the motor to fit. I wonder how much torque the motor really has, it doesn't say....
  20. Maersk blue! xD I think it would look great in white and red with lots of chrome.
  21. Amazing job! Sorry I was so late to comment, I don't know why I didn't. How do you get caster and camber angles that are just 2 degrees? Don't legos just have enough slack to get rid of that anyway?
  22. What's wrong with it? I can't see too clearly in the picture.
  23. That's 4 more sets than I have. I hope TLG puts them in another set.
