I really like the green one! -
Considering the odd angles... this is awesome!

Very nice!

Modified slightly two of the buildings: the wear shop and the bakery: and a new vehicle: a truck with flatbed trailer: Hope you like :)

I'm planning to build one or two 24-wide modulars, so I like this one

Does Lego still make non-minifig printed parts?
SalvoBrick replied to danth's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The "FS" logo is the old one of the italian railways (back at the time was "Ferrovie dello Stato" = "State's railways") -
This was the first set I bought for collection (not for playing). Today it's almost perfect

A shot of the 80's sets I bougth at the time for collection... always stored in storage boxes and never displayed since now: In 2004 ended my "dark age" so I started to buy second-hand sets on Bricklink: here there are the 80's ones, except for the fire vehicles at the right of the second picture I've bought myself at the time The 90's ones are on the top shelf, bougth on Bricklink too. And finally the two most-desired modulars plus some modern sets, some random MOC and the few collection minifigs I keep on display. There are a few more sets I didn't put on display, maybe I'll do in future.

Now that I can see a shot of the whole town I can say that's very nice! It's classic town, clean and simple but always rich of details Good work!

Hello! Even if I'm more a MOC builder nowadays, I've started to be an AFOL (back in the days when there wasn't the internet, nor the word AFOL ) collecting town sets, bought in department stores, sometimes with years of distance between them. Other them, there are still some of the sets of my childhood. at least those who survived entirely At age 14 I started to buy sets as a form of collection, in a time when almost anybody in the world cellected Lego sets (I was anticipating the future ) The 675 snack bar was the first set I bought for collection, so it's still in near-mint conditions. This is the first time, after many years, I'm displaying in the collection, due to the move I've had two years ago and lacking of free space. The house is my Christmas gift of 1975, I've rebuilt it today, The bricks are very used, anche the "clutch power" of some of them is very weak, but it's 100% complete and original afterl almost 40 years of heavy play The car with the tow truck is even older, and it's the only survived set of my older vehicles. The worker with the red torso is my first minifigure (even if its legs are not original, they were replaced a few years later). The police sets were the latest city sets I've bought as a toy. The 621 police car has not its original stickers, they were replaced with printed ones. and with the snack bar I started to buy set as a collector... (to be continued...)

Looks great! Once finished I'd like to see a shot of the whole city

Being a MOCer I don't care for the buildings design... i need the pieces, and with this set I can have a large selection of "buildings" pieces without spending too much.

My modulars have no interiors, so there is no need to open them But since many people like internal details, if you want to open them hinged back it's better. I used to like open-back buildings, but realized that in dioramas the open back makes the building... incomplete. Unless it's a classic-city diorama

Something is happening in my town... More will follow...

This is a great layout even for an AFOL, even better for child's play! I wish I had all those bricks when I was a child!

I like the TV news van (and the whole story, of course )
