[MOC] 1923 Model T Hotrod
Meatman replied to B Rick's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great looking model! Very Nice indeed! -
No, they are shorter. I think Technicbricks said they wee 16L. I am still on the hunt for 2 more 19L flex axles. Everytime one pops up on bricklink it is gone in seconds. I actually just realized that 16L flexible axles in black are the missing parts to properly do Paul's Gallardo in Black. Of course you also need a bunch of 19L ones too along with like four 14L ones which are also pretty rare.

New issues with Lego's Legal Department...
Meatman replied to Paul Boratko's topic in General LEGO Discussion
One of the shirt's images had absolutely nothing to do with anything he had on Cuusoo. Paul, I spoke to a cousin on my wife's side who is an attorney and he said that corporations simply cannot push around people for no reason even if it is a bot program and I also showed him this thread and his exact words were "That is absurd" -

The games made by Capcom were a bit different and somewhat strange to the regular Zelda games that players had become accustomed too. I do very much agree though, Nintendo isn't going to have one of their cult icons portrayed generically in Lego. -
I certainly hope so!

New issues with Lego's Legal Department...
Meatman replied to Paul Boratko's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Even if he had Technic as a tag, I don't see what law was being broken. Lego certainly does not own that word or have it trademarked. They may own the Logo and font and complain if he were using it which is obviously not the case here. I would say the only ground Lego would have to stand on is if the trademarked word Lego were being used in front of Technic. If you do a google search for Technic, the first website that comes up isn't even Lego related. Seems highly unlikely that this is just a coincidence Paul, I would say you are being targeted for some obscure reason which like I said in your other thread does not make sense since you are undoubtedly helping to sell Lego's product for them. I also doubt that Lego was trying to do you a favor by reporting someone else who they suspected wasn't you and was using your images for shirts. And getting back to Ebay. I just did a search for Custom Lego and 9,000 items came up. This means 9,000 items did not come from Lego in their current condition and are available for sale and are all using the Lego name to sell them. Now how could this one particular person be picked out of all of these and have his listing removed for instructions? And the kicker is that it is Technic, which is only what? 12 percent of Lego's sales? At this point that was probably the best thing that you could do. -
You do realize that you do not have to spend anywhere near that much money to get as many parts. There is actually a set even higher than this one. All I have to say is Lego, are you serious? http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-SERIOUS-PLAY-Identity-and-Landscape-Kit-2000430 I also don't understand the randomness of mixing Technic, Duplo, and other themes? That sucks.

So this pretty much confirms that any project that is using custom parts to gain interest should just be eliminated right from the start. Using custom parts and custom renderings of parts to gain supports knowing that they are not going to happen is deceiving. Cuusoo needs to start nipping these projects in the bud from day one. Why let something go on and on and on when the Cuusoo team knows that it isn't going to happen? Every project on Cuusoo including renders should be done with parts that exist and Cuusoo should stress this. Here is another Zelda project just about to hit 10,000 supports and it is destined to fail http://lego.cuusoo.c...deas/view/32525
