I don't understand your beef with pretzels, Hinck. I have always seen them in that orientation. If they were never meant to be depicted with the heart-like style, I had no idea. Your sarcastic Friends reviews will never get old! If I didn't dislike minidolls, I'd want to hug Danielle...or send her to a depression clinic! Poor girl. And when she has her moments, she uses it to be mean to minifigure girls? She definitely needs help.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
8BrickMario replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They aren't sterotypes, as they aren't (intentionally) offensive. I see it more as a neat shoutout to other cultures. The Lederhosen Guy is said to have been made specifically for the fans of that culture in the Minifigures Encyclopedia. The Maraca Man is not the stereotypical "drunk Mexican", he's someone playing traditional music from his heritage. If the Kimono Girl was portrayed in a negative way, she would be a racist stereotype. But she's not. And I still think that the Gingerbread Man won't be chocolate brown. He will most likely be a lighter brown, to look like gingerbread. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion

Went to Chicago yesterday, but after a while my heart just wasn't in it. If a Mr. Gold was there, I didn't find it, but I feel just plain tired of the whole thing.- 1,076 replies

What is this 4x4 facet brick referred to earlier? Is it the cocoon hemisphere in the CLS-89 Eradicator Mech and Hive Crawler (and Galactic Titan)? If not, what is it?

Well, I say LEGO to rhyme with "let go". "Lay-go" I see more as an American Southerner's way of pronouncing it, since it's regional, but I wouldn't know. To complicate it more, the European LEGO designers call it "Lee-go"! I am more likely to say the acronyms as separate letters, except for MOC, which I pronounce "Mock". I say "vignette" as "vin-yet", "decal" as "dee-kal", and CUUSOO as "koo-so". WIP is "Work in progress", although I don't often use that term or "decal" very often.

Should TLC stop photoshopping their pictures?

I also like the clean, enhanced images. The CMFs provide examples where I draw the line. Various parts (Aztec headdress+shield, Pharaoh staff, American Football Player's trophy, Diver's helmet, Pirate Captain's sword) appear to be the same metallic gold as the Pharaoh's headdress, the Conquistador's helmet and chestplate, and the Spartan Warrior's helmet, when viewed in the renders. When I found out that these pieces first mentioned were pearl gold instead, I was annoyed. Not because they were pearl, but because the renders make it look like there's no difference between pearl and metallic gold. When minifigures are digitally rendered in impossible poses due to limb bendability, that also bugs me, because some (like the aforementioned Roman Commander) minifigures are rendered in cool pages that you cannot recreate with the ABS figure. In the May-June LEGO magazine, Arwen is shown in it in the Summer LotR feature, pulling the arrow in her bow, forwards. You can only do this sideways with a real minifigure. Plus, due to Arwen's hairpiece, she can't turn her head to look in that direction, either. I don't see these as "misleading", just digital enhancements that take it too far, because it isn't what's in the package. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion

I guess, like the Alien Villainess, but we'll just have to see. I guess a Clockwork Robot recolor would make sense, as they're apparently doing one of the other CMF machine, the Battle Mech. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
8BrickMario replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I hope it isn't girly. What happens in Friends should stay in Friends. Just a few lavender accents, but I hope to high heaven it won't be completely pastel. Why is everyone saying it'll be a Clockwork Robot recolor? I don't see the CW's head as feminine at all, so I think it will A. have a new head or B. use a minifig head with stylized printing and gray/silver hair. -
Oh my gosh. These are all terrific. Johnny Depp's minifigs do look similar. Long-haired bandanna-wearing men! A minifig of his Hatter would be cool, but not gonna happen. I wonder if Voldemort would employ Doctor Doom? If he looks similar to the Death Eater/Lucius, he may have a chance! And I'm surprised someone hadn't done the first one already. This may be one of your best batches yet. Keep it up!

We don't know. Amazon apparently has it, but no word from retailers.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion

I would actually prefer it to have a minifigure head. A flat round head wouldn't look as good to me, for some odd reason. He should have wavy frosting printing on his wrists. If not, -1 point to LEGO for not doing so! Is anyone going to get into involved discussion about someone other than the Scarecrow, Gingerbread Man, and Barbarian? Any comments on the Lady Robot? -
He's talking about the website being fully uploaded, which, I'm sorry to say to him, had already been posted by yours truly.

Who is Max Solarflare? The new Blue Team member? And how do you know that he's a "doofus"?

So the Dead's heads do glow in the dark! Interesting to see the "updated" printed pieces in the Ship.

Hmm, a little too "chocolate" looking, but otherwise good. I hope TLG's is more similar to the Gingerbread Man from the Shrek series. -
Where are these videos? I'm dying to see them (no avatar pun intended).

It's not just a recolor. It uses the horn, a recolored afro (Joker henchmen, anyone?) and a recolored outfit from the Circus Clown, but reuses the Small Clown's head.

Yeah, but no quizzes for the new sets. I liked those!

Depends. Judging by his torso mold, he doesn't look too athletic, so I'm not sure.

I'm sorry that I came off as impolite. I just think that, being an international company, LEGO wouldn't produce anything that could cause racial conflict. I was in no way trying to be rude. -
LotR is quite a bit darker. Castle is friendlier. They are intended for different age groups, yet designed for all to enjoy.

It'll be golden brown, not a possibly racist image. LEGO knows better. Case closed. -

It will probably be a Shop at Home and LEGO store exclusive, like Arkham, and presumably the upcoming Ewok Village as well.
