Yeah, that's not in stores either. I wonder...

Found a box of Series 7 minifigures at the same TRU. Geonosis Battle now gone.
-
Ah, I see now. The reference wouldn't work as well that way. I don't want Harley's medicine!

Galaxy Squad summer sets now on the S@H!

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
8BrickMario replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The minifig version is better, though. -
I wanted the Wizard Battle so badly, I bought it at the TRU markup. Excellent minifigures, and ingenoious palantir spinning function. It was the fact that I was at TRU that kept me from picking up a Gate or a Council.

Well, then keep the face, but recolor the lips like Hermione/ Padmé's to look like she's not wearing lipstick.
-
Don't know the reference, if there is one, but still funny. Why do people call her Dr. Quinn? That's her villain last name. Her alter ego is Quinzel.
-
I saw all of the sets at the LEGO store yesterday. Tempting....I want that wizard and the prison carriage!

No Endor battle. It's the village, not the battle. They'll probably include a bridge for the scene where Luke reveals his relations to Leia, a few tree huts and the spit. It'll be in different parts, and I doubt it'll be the hyper-detailed UCS we get on our ships, but more like an exclusive along the lines of Arkham Asylum and the Tower of Orthanc. I'm hoping for some playability. The only thing we know so far is that an Endor Leia will be in it, with the Forest Maiden's hair in brown. I hope that she gets a new face, though. It would look off to see her in lipstick during a forest celebration!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
8BrickMario replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I totally agree. Shaak could pass for a film minifigure. She is the least Clone Wars-y minifig in the theme. -
I concede on the wizard leadership, but I don't think it's that way this time. The somewhat lackluster ruin looks like the home of a baddie, but not cool enough or big enough to be an HQ. This Wizard doesn't look as evil to me as the 2007 Evil Wizard, or the Kingdoms wizard, anyway. Hopefully they're breaking the trend. Lego.com will tell in time.

Dragon Mt. and Gold Getaway are the only Castle sets I'll be getting, and when I do, the carriage from GG is going to the wizard. Speaking of the wizard, does anyone else view him as sort of a contemporary counterpart too Willa/Hubble Bubble, the Fright Knights witch? There are a few similarities. Both wear black and red, have dragons, and have an area of gold printing (cape clasp on witch, potion bottle on wizard) with spiders on them. Willa the Witch and Wilbur the Wizard, perhaps? I don't see Dragon Mountain as the Dragon Knights' headquarters. LEGO would do better. To me, it's Wilbur's home, where he has a few knights in his service. No one said the Wizard was the leader of the Dragon Knights. Maybe if there's a second wave, we'll see a Dragon Castle, with the unknown supreme leader of the DKs!

That concept Jek looks more like a Dark Jedi than a clone, and the trans-arm is on the other side. It still looks better. That giant X-wing is a little underwhelming, to tell the truth. We got a UCS this year, give us something more interesting to look at!

I like that the Black Gate beats the golden price per piece ratio, as everyone complained about last year's $60 LotR set, Weathertop, being too pricey! BrickQueen reviews of the Black Gate, Wizard Battle, and Pirate Ship:

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion

I think I was the first to say that. Brown hat + yellow hair=replicated scarecrow hat and straw hair. I'd love to see the triangular nose and friendly smile. Even better still, arm printing to look like straw coming out the sleeves! -
Arwen wears sand blue, and I think the Navarro Cavalrymen wear the same.

I believe he's referring to the size, but I don't know. @Just2good: How are the figs (Elrond and the lovely Arwen)?

EB CMF Contest Results - Category 7A, 8A and 9A Winners
8BrickMario replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am not surprised in the slightest that any of these won. I loved the "rabbit hole", a la "Alice", with the table (with cake and bottle) and miniature door, and the simple yet powerful Senate hall with dagger for the Emperor. The Red Riding hood one is hilarious with the Werewolf stepping in for dear old Granny. I loved the Pinocchio one as well. Brilliantly done Pinocchio fig and workshop! The zany Fortune Teller's caravan, the Conquistador's Aztec entrance, I just can't say enough good things about any of these. These all deserved to win. Congratulations to all of the winners! -
Press Release 10237 - Tower of Orthanc
8BrickMario replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Orthanc may very well damage the floor more as opposed to the model! -
Hmm. It looks too stylized as opposed to random like it should be, and I didn't notice the rust before. Still switching it out for aesthetic appeal.

Does anyone have an explanation for the horribly misguided use of the color of Reddish Brown in the Black Gate? I will most certainly swap these out for dark gray and black pieces.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion

Is this a normal civililan version of Mr. Gold? I used the Businessman's torso, black legs, and the Conquistador's head plus top hat.- 1,076 replies
